why do you suppose the usa government keeps wanting to beat up ufo wittnesses?

im glad the french gov.has such an open mind about ufo's .It seems to me that when any one here in the us has a sighting, people in the us government presist in doing their best to intemidate them ,humiliate them ,and basically discredit them ,not to mention threaten them harass their families and a few murders have even taken place ....their denile is to the point of abserd especially based on the thousands and thousands of wittnesses,including mass sightings ,vedio documentation ,photo documention etc.here in the usa they use sightings of ufo's as evidents of a persons potentially poor mental health.they associate people seeing ufo,s with people on drugs ...and do every thing in their power to keep them from talking about it .do these authorities( paid public servents )really think people involved in mass sightings are all mentally ill too?again thanks for being so open minded ...its very refreshing.
