On the plateau above the Snake River in the Magic Valley of southern Idaho. The area near the highway has a gradual upturning slope on left, flat on the right side.

Driving on Highway 30 about 20 minutes before sunrise, I noticed a white light on my left hand side. At the time, it was probably about 1/4 mile away on the left side of my vehicle. As I drove, I realized it was a ball of white light that was flying and not just a light from another source. The ball of white light passed in front of my vehicle about 75 feet away and at about 75 feet above ground level. The size of the ball of light was fairly small, it did not fill up the windshield of my dodge truck. I would say it was flying about the speed of a slow flying helicopter. There was no blinking lights, such as wing tip lights/collision lights or any other colored lights. The ball of white light kept flying away from my truck on the right side and I watched it for a short time until I was too far down the road to see the light.

I had recently retired from the U.S. Air Force at the time of the sighting. I was a C-130 Loadmaster for 16 years. I gained many flying hours working with close flying aircraft at all times of the day and night. I know how helicopters and fixed wing aircraft look and sound at the range I saw this flying object, and I know it was not a helicopter or fixed wing aircraft.

I believed in the possibility of alien aircraft, believed people were seeing things that cannot be explained in conventional terms and have had relatives see UFOs at a time in history when conventional airplanes were still relatively new.

Departed the 'Totem' restaurant after a nice breakfast on a very quiet and very peaceful early spring morning. We made a right-hand turn out of the restaurant frontside parking lot.

There was no destination, this was going to be a Sunday drive.

The lack of traffic and community activity on such a beautiful morning was conspicuous. We only were just picking up speed and had gone only 250 - 300 feet when we saw it off to our right. My lifelong friend and I were completely absorbed in this scene for which we had no heretofore reference. Personally, I was very aware that my adrenaline was pulsing through me and aware too that it was interfering with my ability to study, comprehensively, what I was observing. I then purposely prompted myself to observe selectively so that WHAT I remembered would be committed to memory with more dependable accuracy. Instead of trying to scan the whole scene I began at the top of the craft and moved slowly down and over it. First, those observations that are irreconcilable:

* The craft was manufactured ...... period.

* coloration was bubblegum . . . after having been chewed for only about one minute, ( when it still has lots of sugar content and when a bubble is blown it has that sugar sheen appearance to it. There were no rivets or any other evidence of supporting construction.

* Around the center of this craft was what only APPEARED to be, and for the sake of illustration, I will describe as being a plasticized lab type of hose. This hose looked like that clear pliable stuff approximately one half an inch in diameter. Within this "hose" were lights travelling + - five feet apart. They were circulating within the hose travelling at + - 10 feet per second. As the lights travelled the "hose" appeared to enlarge to accomodate the lights and then the hose would immediately contract as the light proceeded onward. This particular phenomenon, I concluded, MAY have been simply wrong, looking like it expanded and contracted because of the brightness of the pinpoints of light as they circulated around.

* There was a ramp that was lowered to the ground, + - 4 x 9 feet. I wasted time trying to focus on seeing anything observable within but it was just too dark from the shadow of the craft itself and the angle was too severe from which we were viewing it.

The above is with miniscule doubt. Further, there are a few things I THINK that I saw, however, these things are SO unusual that I find myself in a constant reanalysis and have talked myself into "most probably saw". I most probaboy saw this: two gray-green humanoidal individuals in busy and hurried activity around the ramp. One of them, at first not noticed, popped itself up about 70 - 80 feet distant. I was used to seeing these "guys" on television and they were spot on, so I wasn't so taken aback. "It" looked highly concerned. This impression had no legs other than my own experience with humans and other species on terra firma. "He" had a countenance that said he was not going to any party. ( Bazaar, to say the least. )

During ALL of this time during the sighting I never stopped the pickup truck I was driving. I continually slowed, so I estimate MY total exposure time to the events at less than one minute and, probably, more than half of a minute. My buddy, Bentley, saw it for another 10 or 15 seconds craning his neck as I drove around that wide sweeping corner that brings traffic out of the town of Valdez. ( For point of reference that corner goes around to the left.)

Now, after going out of sight, ( travelling slowly so that Mike could absorb more of whatever he was focusing on ), I sped up and looked over at Mike. I asked him twice before he answered me, "Mike, did you see what I just saw". He was as though he were totally absorbed in thought and appeared quite struck by the whole scene that had just surprised us. He blurted, "You F_____ right I did." I said, "Do ya think we should go back"? "NO", was his immediate response. MY immediate response was to turn the truck around and head back to the scene.

I estimate that I had been out of sight of said craft for less than one minute, probably 30 - 45 seconds. It was gone. I can NOT put THAT into ANY sort or kind of perspective. That sonofagun was between 25 - 40 feet in diameter and about 7 feet tall. Personally, I believe it was between 25 - 30 feet in diameter. Mike was telling my wife about it a year or two later and mentioned he estimated the diameter at 35 to 40 feet. So I always stretch it to include Mike's estimation. I can not in any way make myself accept that the craft was even 35 feet in diameter. Mike earned great grades while we were in high school and graduated with 'honors' from Northern Michigan University. He deserves being considered. He was no fly-by-night. Sadly, Mike just passed away two and a half months ago on a Moose hunting trip. He would be of no help to this endeavour because, afterwards, he was reluctant to talk about it. After 5 or six years passed he'd no longer discuss it with me at all.

When we returned to the spot where we should have been as close as we could be from the highway there was absolutely no sign of it. I opened the door and stood on the truck threshold to gain more height 'cause I just could not accept the fact it had simply vanished ---- 'cause NOTHING can move that fast! I searched the clear blue sky. I scanned the surface of the plot of land it was sitting on and nothing. I even scanned the waters edge and no wake or roil where it might have slipped in and then under the surface. Nothing.

I don't recall how long ago, ( maybe I have it in my "sent" category in my e-mail account ), but I sent an account to MUFON - Alaska. I don't know if you'd like to view it but feel free to contact them to read same. Should you need an official permission I shall certainly provide it.

Came out of a resterante about 8:30 or so. It was raining out , so my brother inlaw walked across the street to go get our cars to come around and pick up our family. As i was walking away, i turned around to tell my family that id be right back. Something cought my eye. I looked above the building and going from left to right was an object dark in color, two sizes of white lights, small and some just alittle bit bigger. Like if you were looking at stars. The largest light, was the size of a large star and the rest smaller. Could of been from 15, 20 lights . It was moving real slow and very low. I could see the shape and could see that it was darker in the sky. When it slowly went buy, it was over a building and the peak of the building was blocking some of that craft. If i had my car there and saw it . It seems like i probubly could catch up to it . It was moving that slow. I said to my brother inlaw, did you see that? He said he just saw it in the corner of his eye. He was alittle bit in front of me walking away from the buildings. He is retire from the airforce. And ive been working at an airport for 20 years. Never seen anything like that. Slow, and no noise. Almost seems like, if i was on the building , i could throw a stone and hit it. The building could be aroung 30 to 50 ft. Up so eather it was low and small or very big. I guess what ever it was didnt know it was raining and overcast and showing there lights to make it look like stars . Those were the only lights in the sky that night. Ill never forget that night.

This was about 20 years ago , but my son and I both remember it clearly . Actually , it's easy to remember some thing that out of the ordinary. I don't remember if my son was 10 or 11 , He'll be 30 soon . After a hockey game or practice , we left the arena , took a left and went up the hill to get to 1st Ave South where he lived with his mom . The hill is about 2-300 Ft. to get to 1st Ave. The hill is steep enough as to be seeing the sky as you drive up . I looked up and saw this very dark, moving object with many colored lights . It was all the different colors that caught my eye , so I rolled down the window and looked up , approx. straight up . I took the immediate right and stopped the car , got out and looked straight up . I thought I was seeing things . Had to stare at it for no more than 10 seconds or less and told my son to get out of the car . Just to reassure what I was seeing , without telling my son anything , I asked him what do you see? He said lights dad . I said , what color? He said all kinds . The best part is , when I asked him what shape it was , his response , triangle ! I said what do you hear ? Response , nothing. We watched it move , about what I estimate, about 30-40 mph to the WNW. The way it was moving , i would have had to zig zag to follow it , but we did see it for about 30-40 seconds . I knew I never observe any aircraft with so many lights , that big , and what we both describe as floating . P.S. I will take a lie detector test anytime and pass it . It was right at dusk.

Leaving my parents house in Salina, Kansas at 10:00 pm for the 30 minute trip back to my home in McPherson, Kansas. I made this trip several times each month and knew the trip took approximately 30 minutes to travel. With me in the car was my 4 year old daughter, asleep in the back seat and my 5 month old daughter in her infant seat. Approximately 1 mile North of the exit on US 81 that, if taken, would lead me into the city of Lindsborg, and at which the "Stuckey's" gift shop and gas center was located, my attention was drawn to a triangular shaped object in the sky to my left. I noticed the complete blanking out of the starfield, also that there were small lights on each corner of the triangle - white, green and red. They were not pulsating, but possessed a soft glow. I remember watching the triangle as I drove, thinking it was around 300 feet off the ground. I remember pulling over the car on the shoulder of the highway. I remember seeing cars on the opposite side of the highway also slowing and pulling over. I remember opening my car door and stepping out to stare up at the absolutely silent triangle. That is the last thing I remember until my tires on my car bumped over the entrance to my driveway 17 miles away. I carried my children into my home, and was very surprised to see my husbands car pull into the driveway behind me as I carried in the diaper bag after putting the children in their beds. He was very distraught and rather angry. My mother, not hearing if I returned home safely or not, had apparently been so upset she had called the sheriff's department and reported me missing. My husband had the department out on the road searching the ditches for my car. I was at first indignant, "I just LEFT there 30 minutes ago, what is the problem?" then I became numb when my husband shouted, "No, you didn't ! It is midnight, where have you been for two hours?" After I explained about the triangle I had seen and how I had stopped my car to get out and look at it closer, he made me call the SAC base in Salina and ask if there were any military training manuevers going on with new aircraft. I was transferred around on the phone and ended up talking to some Colonel that at first was very solicitious, then became very cold and wanted to know where I lived, my name and phone number. All this was before the day of caller ID's. My husband told me to hang up and not give out any information. From that evening in 1987 until I underwent a hysterectomy in 1997, I would have great difficulty going out in the car at night, I would hear a heavy "thrumming" sound in my head, and find myself always watching the night sky, peering up into the stars, listening to the throb of far off "engines" that apparently, only I could hear.

It is possible it was an aircraft of some sort. The Blackbird is a very familiar shape, and certainly could have been that type of hovercraft, yet in 1987, I do not believe the stealth bombers were built or designed yet.

Here's what I saw, as it came towards me, banked, and went right over me. This is the "underside" and it was solid black. It was blacker that the night sky around it. @ each "point", was a dim light that wasn't flashing. It was approximately 1-200ft above me, and it just cleared the tree line infront of me before it came towards me. I had both my window down, and sunroof open and had my truck stopped on the side of the road. No sound came from it @ all as it went over, and there was no wind. It was a perfectly calm night. It moved very slowly, and could even stop in mid air. And as it went over, this is what I saw through my sunroof directly overhead. It kept moving slowly away, and never seemed threatening but as if it was just look for something. And as it flew across the field, I was able to follow it for about two minutes before it finally disappeared.

This was witnessed coming across an open corn field, so when I saw it, it floated through the open night sky. There were no clouds, no wind, very calm and quiet night. And all of the fields were harvested, so they were flat and open.

As I turned down a pitch black country road, I look to the right, and see a bright white light, as if a bright spot light was shinning right at me and it was low in the sky. It doesn't seem to move. So I slow down to a stop and watch it. It dims slightly then moves across the corn field slowly. I pulled my truck over to the side of the road and stopped. I watch as it makes a circle towards me. "What the hell is that?" I keep asking myself as I continue to watch as the light is now infront and above me. I roll my window down, and also open my sunroof because I want to see if it's a helicopter or a plane.. Then the damn thing comes towards me as I sat still in my truck. It then banks, turns and it hovers right over me.. The freaky thing.. It didn't make a sound! I was able to see that it was a solid black diamond shape with four points, and a dim light @ each point that stayed lit. It did not have any flashing lights whatsoever. I watched in awe as this.. Thing flew over my truck, silently and it was just above the trees.. And I watched as it went across the open fields and into the distance..

Note: Approximately a week earlier, I witnessed a meteor wich I watched trail tru the air and then fall apart into multiple pieces and burn up. This duration was about a full 5-8 seconds. That is why the ufo light caught my attention, I thought it was another meteor and stopped to watch it. Then I started to think, maybe it wasn't a meteor I saw the first time.

I was in my bedroom and was walking to my window, I saw what seemed like christmas lights reflecting on my window. My sisters house is below mine and I thought maybe her lights from her christmas tree were reflecting on my window. I went to the window and realized it was not that, as I looked up to the sky, there were a bunch of orange lights in the sky. I quickly ran out the door and there they were, then ran inside to get my phone, I took a picture but unfortunately it is black as it doesn't have a flash. I shouted for my sister and husband, by the time they got out the rest had disappeared into the clouds and there was one that had been a bit behind which they managed to see. They said it could be air force planes or something. Never have I seen anything like it. They were like balls of red light, there were about 11 of them(estimated). They were not one behind the other, they were more like scattered but moving together.

The light was a very bright white orb-looking object. It had a circular, round shape which i think in part was achieved by the vast distance their seemed between it and myself because it was like I could see other shapes behind it.

At around two thirty in the morning I was outside smoking a cigarette on a balcony in my apartment complex from which there is a great view looking over the San Bernardino Valley. I was looking at the sky when my eyes noticed and focused on a small, very bright white light traveling left at an upward slant across the sky. At first I thought it was an airplane and perhaps it came from behind a tree or building and that was why it seemed to appear so suddenly and out of nowhere but as I watched it move (and after I concluded that there was nothing that could have been blocking my sight) I was pretty sure it wasn’t an airplane. The light didn’t move in a straight line but it wasn’t at all erratic and it also seemed to vibrate. It curved up (I may have imagined it but it seemed to slow down) and it looked as though it were flying right at me. As it did this I got very nervous; I looked down at my cigarette for a second, the only time I took my eyes off that light, and even though there was much of it left I contemplated throwing it over the balcony and rushing back to my apartment, but curiosity held me in my place. I know this almost very possibly was my imagination but I felt and still feel that the light was aware of me. The light then curved left and continued in its original direction. The light flew behind a cloud but I could still see it perfectly and again it stood still but then slowly faded smaller and away. But the way it faded I feel needs to be emphasized for it was so extremely and beautifully fluid that it convinced me what I was seeing was real. What came next is very hard to explain; there were two flashes of light above where the light had zoomed away and they appeared in an almost zigzag formation, but they weren’t flashes of the same white orb, or they could have been but what I’m trying to say is their looked, their effect was very different and the color was golden. When I saw the flashes I instantaneously associated it in my head with pictures of fireworks or glitter being tossed. I also felt like I knew the UFO was accelerating away. And then it was over.

The only other thing I conclude it might have been was a satellite because of the white light, but satellites don't move or disappear the way this craft did.

the object was brilliant blue from top to bottom, was a cylinder rounded at both ends, no markings, holes or other lights, completely blue in colour, found it strange that it was'nt luminating anything around it, may not have been on the ground but was below the height of the horizon as I could see where the sky started and was sat below that

we were travelling north on the M74 after Carlisle and before Lanarkshire, it was pitch black, cant recall any cloud cover, there were no street lights, no houses or industrial works, nothing, just a motorway carving its way through the countryside, only other lights were coming from other cars using the motorway, no landmarks around as its just miles of fields although I could probably find the exact spot as I travell that road a lot

a friend and I were travelling from coventry in England back home to Falkirk in Scotland after he bought a car from a friend there, we had left Carlisle and were travelling north on the M74 for about a half hour(ish), the road was not luminated and there was no houses, street lighting or any other light source for miles other than the cars using the motorway, the time was early am, around 2 - 4 am, I was travelling in my car and my friend in the car he had just bought. I noticed a odly luminated blue cylinder below the height of the horizon on my left about 100 - 200 yards away, never lit up anything around it, it was the kind of blue on your toolbar of any windows pc (brilliant blue), it sat there motionless for about 4 seconds then seemed to drop a little then shot upwards and dissapeared from sight, the way it dissapeared was strange as it seemed to dissapear behind something which I never saw, bearing in mind Im still travelling along the motorway at about 70 mph and never pulled over. I grabbed my phone and called my friend travelling behind me and said "Oh my god did you see that" to which he replied "The blue thing" "Aye" I said "that was f***in mental what the F was that". Never got a picture of it as I was driving and kind of awe struck at the time,

We never reported it as at the time I was unaware how to go about it but both my friend any I agree that it was NOT anything that we have ever seen before and both believe that what we seen was not anything that we could explain other than it being a "ufo"

On this evening, November 2, 2010 at 11:07 PM I was standing at the WEST side of our house (between our house and neighbor's house) looking up at the sky and ready to say a prayer for my sister as she had just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer (low level Thank God). I was facing west, looking up at the sky when all of the sudden, no more than 30 - 40 feet to my right, and no more than 80 - 90 feet high, a large, dark and TOTALLY SILENT TRAINGLE flew by quickly. So much to say: When I say this, I was in TOTAL shock. I COULD believe what I saw going over my house, me, little no body in a "small town" America!!! I was in shock, I was in dis-belief of what "shouldn't be" --- a huge air craft flying no higher than the palm trees in this neighborhood. I was petrified, I was elated. I ran inside like an ant who just lost its bit of crumbs..I felt it urgent to call SOMEONE, the police?!* the local military airbase (but who/what # there???). I thought this air craft needed to be reported BECAUSE it's trajectory, if it continued on it, would certainly taken it directly over the Seeley, Calif military airbase there. The craft was dark with one round light at each tip/no lights in center. The lights were not casting light downward. They appeared to be illuminated, much like florescent lights that are on, but not shinning a light downward. As long as I live, I will never forget what I saw. The object flew past quickly, westward going. Because the roof of my neighbor's house, I saw the object go by overhead, but unable to see it moving off and away. P.S. Lots of UFO traffic coming from south (Mexico) traveling north-bound.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! This thing flew LOW, almost directly over my house!!!!!!!!

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I am practical, and try to use logic and reasoning for living. I guess I have to say my life was interruped early on by UFOs. When my parents and us children arrived in Morgan Hill Calif to work at a strawberry fields, one night our parents RAN hysterically in the house, screaming and screaming that they had just seen a "round plate" directly over the trees, with beautiful lights all around. Parents in panic. Later in life, my dad camped in an area by the CA/Mex border, south of Mexicali, dad used to return greatly disturbed as he regularly witnessed hundreds at a time, UFO flying northbound. Dad used to see them. I had another TRUELY astounding eye witness later in life.

Most EXTRAORDINARY EVENT IN MY LIFE/SUMMARY: Years ago, (can't remember year) I was standing at the corner of 8th street and Vine Street here in El Centro: I was quietly contemplating the beginning of a new year (?), what will it bring, what will happen? Etc Etc. Looking south (El Centro = 20 miles away from the Calexico, CA/Mexicali, Mex border) I saw this VERY BRIGHT WHITE object coming from the south sky northward towards El Centro. This object caught my attention because of how bright white is was shinning (not from within, but from the shine of the sun ?) The closer it got, the more bizarre it looked. As this object was coming near the east sky I was facing, I saw it was moving ever SO GENTLE, like a kite moving one tip down, then it's other tip down, VERY GENTLY!!!!! THEN I turned and looked to the left (northward) and saw a pcargo plane passenger?/commercial? HEADING EASTWARD. So here I am standing alone, early in the AM, looking at this BOOMERANG SHAPED bright oject flying NORTH, and a plance flying EAST. To my horror, I clearly saw that the seemingly very slow moving north-bound boomerang and the east-bound plane (PLEASE use your hands to simulate movement) were going to crash...I was about to see a mid-air collision! What I saw I will NEVER forget: The boomerang and the plane met at the SAME spot, but the boomerang flew DIRECTLY over the front tip of the plane first and under it and OVER IT AGAIN... like a wrapping motion!!!!!! This thing still flew around the tip of the moving plane ever so CALMLY!!!! When it finished flying around the moving plane, it started moving south again, but more on a south west route. i kept my eye on it, until I lost sight of it on the southwest horizon. I could not believe what I had just seen. THEN, about two hours later my phone rang. I was washing dishes at the sink, feeling like I had just been violated somehow. It was my mother on the phone, she was calling from nearly 4 hours away from here, working as a nanny for a Dr. & his wife. He was screamingover and over "honey, quess what I just saw here (Laguna Nigel?)!!!!!!! I QUICKLY stopped my mother from telling me what she had just seen, I told her WAIT, let ME tell YOU what you just saw. I told her what I had seen, that it was a shinny boomerange, flying and rocking GENTLY side to side. When I told her this, there was COMPLETE silence on the phone. We were both in true shock. She said she also was in her kitchen looking out the window. I believe the house sat on a hill and the ocean was down below and away. My mother said she saw a HUGE triangle fly from south to north. That it was moving ever so slowly. Mom said it was as long/big as a football field. She and I NEVER forgot. We talked about it, but almost with a sense of real concern and worry. What are the odds that daughter and mother saw the SAME THING, and we were miles/hours away!!! My mom has now passed. I need to find out the date of when this happened, and the address/where she was working. To my death bed, I KNOW what I saw!!
