Greenwood and Fawcett spent years compiling the information in this book through numerous Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and hundreds of hours at local libraries and pouring over microfilm newspaper accounts. In the end, any proceeds gained for the authors in this work will nowhere near compensate them for the out of pocket expenses to procure the information contained within. This shows the love of the subject and the dedication put in to see it through. Greenwood lacks in formal education but is a superb historian with an expansive command of many subjects easily the equal of more paper-heavy,credential-laden professionals. Fawcett is credible for his contribution,having been a police officer with Greenwood having edited the CAUS newsletter and provided reference services and archiving for UFO researchers worldwide.

Greenwood, a postal clerk,and Fawcett, a former cop, share the fruits of years of FOIA(Freedom of Information Act) requests and rigorous research. Fawcett at one point was intimidated by the FBI for requesting info on a Cuban UFO sighting.In addition,there was a failed attempt to hold the NSA accountable in court for UFO reports but the judge in the case dismissed the suit after a classified debriefing without their review was given to the judge by NSA. Greenwood also edited the CAUS newsletter, dedicated to serious,objective research of the UFO phenomenon and govt accountability.
