They were a few high strangeness cases, but scattered and not to well documented. Some Puerto Rican and Italian reports were impressive and highlighted the year. It appears to be a slow start for this year with only one recorded case, again from Chile. We will see what develops later on the year. 2001 was pretty busy but it was a decline from 2000. Maybe we will see another down trend again, later to pick up again in the near future. This seems to be the ever-ongoing trend of the phenomena. Will it always stay the same? Time will tell. Following is a list of known 2002 humanoid cases.

Having been involved in UFO research one way or another since the early 70’s, my fascination has always been with the UFO “occupant” encounters. I am currently engaged in attempting to catalog most reported encounters with humanoids, entities, beings, etc. So far I have over 4000 cases in my files, many known, many not so well known. I obviously do not believe every single story, but I believe all stories must be told. Many are first hand reports, others are just anecdotes, but all are included.

79 Humanoid reports. The end of the "High Strangeness Decade" went out with a bang. A decline was noted from the almost record breaking year of 1978, but humanoid reports were still wide spread and many bizarre in nature.

1978 Humanoid Reports, the year the bottom dropped out. As far as range and variety of incidents 1978 led the 70's decade. All types of humanoids were reported worldwide and in all types of situations. Besides your standard abductions, there were numerous types of entities reported. Humanoid waves were reported from Italy, France, England, Malaysia, Spain, etc. The first reports coming from behind what it used to be the Iron curtain were beginning to emerge. It was an unprecedented year; it took 11 years to almost equal the quality and amount of reports recorded for 1978.

America's most uncelebrated UFO hotspot first came into the public perception in 1987, when it was mentioned in passing in Dr. J. Allen Hynek and Philip Imbrogno's, Night Siege: The Hudson Valley UFO Sightings. Though Pine Bush played only a minor role in the Hudson Valley UFO flap of the mid-1980s, it was just outside of Westchester and Putnam counties, where the bulk of the sightings were taking place. 1954 Humanoid Reports. Focus in France. The unprecedented and until possibly 1973 unduplicated wave of humanoid reports took place throughout France and some parts of Italy. Other reports came in from England, US, Germany, Canada & other European countries but at a much lesser extent. Towards the end of the year the focus seemed to shift to Venezuela & Brazil.
