It was in the mid 90's,I really can't say the year.One cloudy and cold winter evening ,me ,my mother and 3 sisters could see what at first seemed just spotlights reflected on the clouds,but we soon ruled out the possibility as the neighbourhood we were living in was almost empty during the week ,and more in the winter.What we saw and one of my sisters (who was studying photography at the time) could photograph was 3 bright and silent spots going in circles in the sky,they crossed each other and made circles but without moving to another place, ,I mean it was just like the movements of spotlights,that's why we mistaken them at firts.But,once the photos showed up,you can perfectly see the oval shapes of each spot even turning.The phenomenom took so long that we quit looking through the window.

I was around 16 at the time but I remember seing these spots a few days before,also on a cloudy day,but in another part of the neighbourhood.

I was driving north on I-85 approaching the UNC Charlotte campus. Traffic was heavy during the 5 o'clock rush hour. I was going about 15 mph. Suddenly in the sky ahead of me about 1/2 mile away appeared a large gray rectangle. I estimate it's length as long as a football field. It was gray with panels that were somewhat reflective. It floated motionless and then drifted to the right. I lost sight of it behind the tree line as I drove along. I had time to remove my sunglasses so I watched it for approximately 10 seconds.

As I drove along toward the campus, there were several auto accidents. I can't explain what I saw.

Neighbor knocked on door yelling come see this thing hovering above the Reynolds aluminum plant down at the end of the block ! Us and several other neighbors watched the ufo 50 feet from us , hovering with lights at the top and windows, we saw a figure waving from the top area, it hovered approx 15-20 minutes shot out at a 45 degree angle and then straight up at an incredible speed! Then after it was gone we discovered it was hovering above a power transformer thing fenced in that was smoking after the ufo left ! No one ever talked about it again on our block.

Ive seen ufos since out here in the country, saw one land in a field one night and I got out of my truck and shut it off to see this thing, it was on the ground with pulsing lights, it must have seen us because it took of slowly and moved when ever we would try to get somewhere closer to see it, it would go behind some trees or hill.

It was late in the afternoon on the day of the first landing of the space shuttle Columbia. I was a stringer for NBC news and shot the landing from the dry lake bed.

I left Edwards Air Force Base and headed back to the San Joaquin Valley on Highway 99.

Late in the afternoon, I saw something that looked to be a dark spot on the sun.

I pulled over and got out my binoculars. The sun was too bright, so I waited till the sun started to set. Soon, the dust from the earth allowed my binoculars to see what cannot be anything but UFO’s.

First there was the large round ship that I could see with my naked eye and gave me the reason to pull over, (thinking it was a sunspot). When I looked below the large ship, I saw six smaller ships lined up three in a row, like on a dice, all at 45 degree angles. Next to these “dots” was a long dark bar (like a pencil) that was twice the length of the large sun spot ship. All these items were stationary is space between earth and the sun. I did an experiment to see if I was just seeing things. I positioned myself in front of distant telephone poles and placed the UFO’s directly behind them. I watched as the group slowly dropped at the same rate as the sun. They started above the telephone wires and as the sun set they ended up below the telephone wires till they all sunk into the horizon.

These things had to be huge since they were not even close to being on earth and dropped into the horizon at the same rate of the sun.

I am amazed to this day, that no one has reported this and if they have, I would sure like to know about it.

I moved back to Clarksville Iowa in the summer of 1994 where I ended up staying with a friend. My friend's sister, (name withheld), early one morning ran up to the east window from the living room and yelled, "What the f*** is that?" And she ran outside. I went to the window and saw what I thought was a police car, a very odd thing to see in a town of less than two-thousand people at 3am. I followed her outside and we watched.

It was immediately apparent that the object was in the air and was moving closer. It flashed red and white, and at times was hard to look at. At this point my thought was that instead of a police car it must be a helicopter or airplane flying very, very low directly toward us. Once past the trees we could see it clearly.

The object was red light on top, blue light on the bottom, white wispy flashes of light around the outside circumference in a ring parallel to the ground. The white flashes of light were evenly distributed equatorially, and seemed to rotate in a random way. The rotation of the white lights was similar to how a wheel looks when captured on film in a movie. All of the light seemed to be a causation of the distortion around it, and the mechanical part was only faintly visible. The best way that I can describe the "field" around the craft would be like looking into a spinning ball of glass. The object made no sound at all, and hovered along as you would expect a helicopter to fly. The field around the object seemed to be spinning, as for the parts inside, I really can’t say for sure. It was hard to tell the size from the ground. I estimate its size was 7.5 meters (25 feet) internally, and the field around it possibly 12 or more meters(40 feet.) I guess its speed was near 50-60 KPH (30-40 MPH). The altitude must have been close to 100 meters (100 yards), and closest point directly to it through the air near 150 meters (150 yards). The air was clear and it took about 5 minutes for the object to disappear behind the trees of Herry Woods State Park. Its path from when we first saw it was in a smooth arch from the east to the south.

I believe the date was the 16th of January 1995, and it was approximately 3 AM. Overall my impression was that it was something of great power and control. Logic tells me that anything that has the power to warp light around it is dangerously powerful. This feeling could have been my adrenal gland; an emotional response to the "magic."

I would like to find time to create an animation digitally that is a near to what we saw as possible. We didn’t have a camera with us that night.

Hi there, I really enjoyed looking at your site and thought I'd send you a photo I took yesterday.



It was taken mid morning while I was admiring the sky forming into a lovely storm. I did'nt notice or hear the 'object' until I put the photo onto my computer. Having enlarged the area ( bottom left) I still have'nt a clue what it might be.

Attached photograph was taken just over a couple of weeks ago in the Sooke area of Vancouver Island. It was taken by me using a Nikon Coolpix 5700. I saw nothing in the sky when I took it, in fact it only came to light when I uploaded the photographs to my laptop later in the day. It was one of a group of photographs I took within a five or so minute period (almost a panorama of the Becher bay area) It appears in none of the other photographs. My wife and kids were with me at the time. They saw nothing either. It was the middle of the day. I thought it could be a bug on the lens but it somehow appears to have a sort of depth of field, and focus is in line with surrounding trees, clouds etc. It is not a bird, even at this quality of image this camera can pick out a seagull at 400 ft!

I have only had the camera a month but as we spent the month on holiday in BC I shot around 700 pictures no other photo displays anything like this so I am guessing it is not a lens fault. I don't knoe if you have any special equipment for sharpening images but would be interested in what you think? I have all the other shots taken either side of this one. If it is not a bug, it is definitely not a plane or helicopter. This has to be one of the most tranquil places on the planet aside from the odd floatplane.
