Just looks strange to me and wondered what it was.

i was having a bbq that summer with a lot of people over.it didnt seem like a big deal at first to me because i had seen one before,then i said to everybody to come and look at this thing in the sky.clear day mid afternoon.they all saw it and agreed to what its description was.it looked silver but would split into two halves red and green and then go go back into one piece again.i asked my girlfriend to go inside and get binoculars and everyone had a look at it through them.it just hung there about i would say 20 minutes.then everybody got bored and didnt pay attention anymore.i was hard to tell the distance,but i would guess about a half mile away.when i looked up to check on it it was gone,and thats it

i could see a bright light through the back doors frosted glass before i opened it. when i opened it, i looked up and saw a large round bright light. it was stationary and made no noise. it wasn't a helicopter search light or anything like that. the intensity of the light was too big and bright to be a flare. it started to dim, then completely disappeared, it was strange the way it disappeared, like something i have never seen before and know is not a regular occurrence. the whole period only lasted about 5 seconds from when i opened the door. this is the first UFO i have ever seen.

I only saw the front side of it, it appeared saucer shaped, and quite large. There were lights on the outermost part on the underside. The lights were dim, I believe they were more than one color, and were in the shape of a square or rectangle.

I would say this craft was about 100 feet wide, if not larger.

Rural, tree lined road. Only occasional street lights, but was very dark in this stretch of road. The dusk sky was still illuminating along with the stars in the backround. Not sure if there was any light from the moon. The main source of light was coming from the craft.

I grew up in Bethel CT and was 17 at the time of the sighting during the summer of 1982. There were actually 2 different occasions within the same 2-3 mile radius that occurred that summer which I will never forget. Like most people who have witnessed a UFO, I have kept it to myself for the most part, not wanting to share what I saw for fear that people might think I'm crazy or lying.

I cannot remember which happened first - the sighting or another strange phenomenon I witnessed (along with my boyfriend) but I will describe both, starting with the UFO sighting.

My boyfriend lived in Newtown CT and we were in separate cars driving to my house in Bethel, CT on a summer evening, probably between 9-11 pm. He was following behind me. It was a clear night and I had my window rolled down. Something in the sky caught my eye from my left side car window. When I looked up, I saw the faint outline of what appeared to be the front part of a saucer shaped UFO. It had the dim lights on the underside which helped to outline the form of it. I remember they looked more square shaped and fairly large, different from a round shaped light that might come from an airplane. It was not moving, which was the most alarming thing about what I was seeing It was quite large. I was still driving but slowed down considerably as I would look at the road and then look up at it. Hoping my boyfriend would see it, I reached my arm out of the window, pointing up to it as I was hitting my brakes. He backed off so I wasn't sure if he saw it. After that when I looked up I no could no longer see it. It could be that I had driven too far past it, or it could have moved. I felt at the time it was because I had driven past it.

I was too afraid to stop. When we arrived at my house I immediately asked my boyfriend if he saw what I was pointing at. He said no. I told him I thought I saw a UFO and was trying to get him to look up. He said when he saw my car swerving all over the road he backed off. I was very disappointed that he didn't see it and knew at that point there was no sense getting into what I saw with him. I dropped it shortly after.

Another incident that happened that summer was just as strange. My boyfriend and I were parked in a car in the same area on the border of those 2 towns. After being parked for about 1/2 hour, I started my car and drove out to the main road. While I was driving on Route 302, the same road where I saw the UFO, I was seeing large particles bouncing off of the pavement like hail. It was a clear night, around the same time, between 9-11 pm, and it was again warm. There was no precipitation coming from the sky. It was more like the particles where already on the ground bouncing, as opposed to dropping from the sky. They were about the size of small hail and and silvery white in color. I decided to ask my boyfriend if he saw what I saw, and he responded 'yes, what is that?' I asked him to describe it just to be sure he wasn't going to trick me or pretending to know what I was talking about. When he described it, I knew I wasn't seeing things. We were driving though it hoping it would end because there was no rational explanation for it and we were very confused. After about a mile or so it faded out and stopped.

Strangely we never brought it up to one another ever again after that . We broke up a couple of months after, but I doubt he has forgotten about it after all of these years.

I've always had very good eyesight and feel as though these sightings were tangible and real. My fear at the time prevented me from stopping to further experience what I was seeing. Even though I still feel the same since the incidents there are a couple of things that I have thought may or may not have any bearing or relation to these events. The first is - about 2 years later, I became very sick with an illness that I have never fully recovered from. Another is I have a heightened sense of awareness around things involving my safety. Intuitive things that have saved me from things like break-ins to my house. I also find that sometimes people places or things pop into my mind that I haven't thought about in quite some time, then I soon come into some kind of contact with them not long after. Don't know if these things have an relation to what I saw/experienced, but who knows.

I would be very interested in hearing or reading about other sightings from people in the area that summer.

Because it was hovering so low and not moving, it was a very alarming sight. It looked very smooth, round and flat from the underside. I can't imagine it was anything man-made that I have ever seen.

I have never been interested in the topic before or after. I realized after the sighting that it was something I would not be able to share with anyone. I may have discussed it with a handful of people in an offhand way since it happened. My ex-boyfriend did witness the hail-like sighting, so i would be interested in talking to him to see if he remembers the incident. Being as young as we were we probably didn't feel as if there was anything we could do with the information.

V-shaped. Light or pale amber lights, I think 7 of them. The lights were all I saw yet I seemed to see or sense that there was something there holding the lights together or something the lights were attached to that I could not see.

Holding my hand up I would say that my thumb and index finger would be about 2 inches apart and I estimate the object about 100 meters above me. My guess is that it was about 10 m long by 10 m wide.

I live in northern part of Edmonton city. I was outside our townhouse at 1:15 AM watching the stars and the northern lights as I sometimes do. While looking up, some lights in a V formation seemed to appear out of nowhere. The lights were in a V formation and seemed to be positioned on to something because they moved together perfectly. I couldn't see anything solid but at the same time I sensed that there was something that the lights were part of. The thing seemed to be about 10 meters long by 10 meters wide but V shaped. It made absolutely no noise and was heading in a SSW direction. I watched it for as long as I could until I could not see it anymore. The duration of sighting was about 5-7 seconds or so. I have NO DOUBT the thing was not a helicopter, or a plane, or a weather ballon. It moved with purpose. It freaked me out. I have never seen that sort of thing before.

Absolutely not. I have NO DOUBT it was NOT a helicopter, plane, ballon, birds. It certainly was not a star or cloud. It was close enough that I could distingiush it from such things. It had purpose, was absolutely silent. Seemed to appear abruptly as I was looking up at the time.

I was working on call that weekend and had just left my last patients house around 9pm. I had just turned onto the street leading back to my home when I had noticed a bright cluster of lights a few hundred feet in front of me. I didn't really pay any attention to it at first but as i was getting closer to the object i began to slow down to try and figure out what it was. From what i can remember there were four to five bright lights which were illuminating the trees underneath it but I could not see anything above the lights. As i drove under the object I still was not able to make out any shape but judging by the distance between the lights it was around the same size if slightly bigger than my vehicle. After passing the object I made a U-turn at the next intersection and drove back to the object to get a second view. I lowered my drivers window as i approached the object to see if i could make out what it was but once I was in a hundred feet of the object it took off along the tree-line. The whole time this happened I didn't really know what to make of the situation but what really freaked me out was the fact that absolutely no sound was made when it sped off. I've tried to rationalize it by telling myself it was probably a helicopter but considering how close it was to the ground it should have made some type if not a shit ton of noise.

Natural: No, Manmade: not sure, considering i wasn't able to get a clear image on the object but i have little expertise on manmade objects that can hover over trees and speed off going 200+ without making a sound

Before: not sure considering i had never really experienced something i couldn't explain, Now: still not sure because i don't know what i saw so i don't want to jump to conclusions. just looking for explanations as to what the hell it could have been. Always have found the UFO documentary shows as entertaining but never really taken much as fact out of them.

I saw a black rectangular object hanging stationary in the air for approximately ten minutes.

This was in broad daylight at around 1 or 2pm. The rectangle had protrusions all over the side of it like half basketballs. (I could only see one side of the object) The rectangle was not hanging flat but rather perpencidular. My attention was diverted for about ten seconds and when I looked back up the object moved high up in the air to just the size of pinprick. I'm not saying this was a "ufo" but I had never seen anything like it before and someone called in to a local radio station reporting it as a ufo. There was no source of propulsion or noise. The only thing I can think is this might've been a balloon of some sort. Has anyone heard of a black, rectangular balloon?

If it was man made it had to be a balloon of some sort. Did not look like a ballooon but was rectangular. Could it be a new kind of weather balloon?
