My familey and I were sitting on the front porch and my mother in-law said hey look at the firework somebody just set off. At that time it lit up the night sky in are area for about 2 to3 seconds. It looked like it might have landed over Lampasses. It had a whiteish looking tail when re-entering.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
It was a natural object. We used to see these kinds of objects back home in California out in the desert during certian times of the year.

I just find it hard to beleave we are the only ones in this solar system.
