driving home in lower Hudson Valley (Bedford NY) Rte 22, south, and saw a very straight row of red lights above the gas station at intersection with rte 172. Funny I never noticed high tension wires there, i thought, but then the lights started to move. I turned the corner onto rte 172 and said, 'what the hell is that?' and my daughter (age 10) and I started watching as I drove. "It" was floating (no sound) just above the treetops, the shape was implied (blocked out sky but i couldnt see anything but the lights) and i said, this thing is huge! It followed along for about two miles at our speed about 40 mph, passed over the car, and eventually went down below the tree line out of sight when I got to Rt 684 and could pull off the road to watch it. The lights at that point were some red and some amber. When we got home my daughter and I both drew (separately) a picture of it but I don' t have thepics anymore. It was very large, soundless, floating or gliding, very low to the ground. Black in color except no form could be identified, but from the lights it was a triangle then a boomerang shape. It wasn't scary but I would love to know what it was. It made no sound at all--I rolled down the window. That's about all . Thanks

Thanks for your work. I am wondering what this "UFO" is, as it appeared in the Hudson Valley during the nineteen eighties too. I don't get it.
