Size of Object(s)coin at arm's length Distance to Object(s) & AltitudeCannot begin to estimate Shape of Object(s)classic disk shape Color of Object(s):silver Full Description & DetailsI've never before reported this to any agency or organization. I was returning home from work in Birmingham so the time must have been between 4 and 4:30 PM. A friend, JD, was with me. I was heading north on a cut-off road about midway between Snead and Oneonta, AL when I noticed a silvery disk in the sky. The size of the craft was maybe like a dime at arm's length. What struck me the most was the extremely polished look, like uncrinkled aluminum foil. The craft was definately disk shaped and at an angle of about 25-30%. I drew the attention of my friend to the craft and asked him if he saw it as well. He confirmed the sighting. We observed fhe craft for a few more seconds until it seemed to disappear in the distance. It seemed to move away from us and was lost in the haze. I cannot estimate the size, distance, or altitude as there were no clouds, aircraft, etc to act as reference points. It has been almost 30 years ago but I definately saw a sliver disk in the sky.
