Our house is set in a grove of trees. The kitchen faces a south westerly direction.

As I was sitting at the kitchen table looking in a south westerly direction, a huge black triangular shape loomed up just over the tree tops. It covered an area of about 200 - 300 feet. (i judged this on the theory that our telephone poles are set approx 100 feet apart)

I ran to the front gallery (facing south west and watched as the object moved over the tree line and then over my head at approximately 75 to - 100 feet. I observed that the color of the craft was actually a greenish black and that the underside of the craft looked like an intestine, in that it consisted of a tubular shape running back and forth across the belly of the craft. The craft glided slowly, approximately 5/10 miles an hour, noiseless, no turblence and no sense of heat or cold. I don't remember any lights or windows as this happened a long time ago.

As the nose of the craft glided over my house, which is about 30 feet wide, I ran to the back of the house. The first 1/4th of the craft (the pointed nose and what would be a cockpit ) was passing over and I watched the rest of the craft glide silently by.

My 16 year old daughter was with me but she does not recall much of the sighting.
