Full Description & Details

I was out with my girlfriend to watch a meteor shower. While it was still rather early in the eveniong for that activity, I was pointing out various planet positions for that night , and where we should look in the sky/horizon directions for our best viewing, when Carolyn pointed to a rather bright object in the sky that I could not identify.

It was just a bright light, that I at first that was a oncoming helicopter, but after several minutes it turned red, then blue, then white agian, and it began to "squiggle" in the sky.

We watched this for several minutes, and then a large plane, probably a commercial aircraft, flew by, and the object came to a complete standstill in the sky, anyone looking at it would swear it was just a star. I watched the object with much stricter attention now, and sure enough, it began the squggling again.

Carolyn was also witnessing everything I was witnessing as it happened, we even stated out loud what we were seeing to be sure we werent each having different different eye problems or something. We were both getting quite excited and kinda creeped out, it was exhilerating, and I knew I had to be sure, so we flagged down the next vehicle that passed by,(Something that a guy would normally choose NOT to do in the middle of nowhere with his girlfriend, not knowing who, or how many people are in the oncoming vehicle) we were out in the main logging roads of Taylor River, a logging area near North Bend Wa.

We asked the to look at what we were looking at and tell us what they thought.

WE watched for almost 41/2 hours,during that time, our new companions spotted the first of the additional objects after a jet passed in the sky within the first 20 minutes after we flagged them over.

The original object did its "freeze in the sky trick" when a jet passed by, and one of the other new witnesses followed the jet instead of staying on our object. Suddenly he exclaimed "Look theres another one!" The amazing thing was that it did every move and squiggle in the sky, at EXACTLY the same time and speed as the original, we all saw it.

By the end of the evening we saw over 16 of these objects doing EXACTLY the same thing at the same time.

These objects were spaced evenly, in a perfectly strait line all across the sky, in a north to west arc.

At one point in the evening, about 2:30am, the "second" object (the one our friends spotted first) dropped a red dot, that shot off into the sky, and then a white, dimmer dot dropped out of it and went strait downward, then went east much slower than the red one, I jokingly said "Someone's getting abducted tonight" and we all kinda laughed, then we got real serious and I asked one of my companions "did you just see that?" and he said yes, and proceeded to decribed exactly the same thing I saw as well.

I swear on my childs life this is a true report of actual events.

WE called the news stations from my cellphone, the first laughed at me.

The second, said it was meteors because of the shower. I explained to them that I was an amatuer astronomer, I spent alot of time looking at the sky, I know what a meteor looks like, I know what a satellite looks like(these objects were too bright, and did amazing arial moves, not to mention they were too low in the sky to be satellites, I've seen them hundreds of times, these were not satellites) I know what a helicopter jet etc. all look like as well, for I have spent years living next to airport and military bases.

She hung up on me.

The third said I was picking the wrong night for wasting their time.

WE continued to watch the objects until we simply had to leave for it was getting too cold, and it was getting towards sunrise in a couple hoursl

I was at work the next day and one of my co-workers admitted he saw something too, while he was out waiting for the meteor shower to start but he was quiet about it.
