Full Description & Details

It was early evening during mid to late March, 1987. I had just got off a bus in Fort Lee, NJ, returning home from work in NYC. As I was getting closer to my apartment building,

I happened to look up towards it and my eyes were caught by an aerial craft above the area of my building. The craft was about 300 to 400 feet high. I happened to be interested in this phenomenon and had recently read a book pertaining to the Hudson Valley UFO.

Since I was close to my apartment building, I decided to run home and got to the roof to get a better view. I didn't want to stop to get my video camera as the object might be gone by the time I put that equipment together.

When I reached the roof, I was pleased that the object was still there.

It was full night, and the sky was clear so as to see stars. This object was rectangular with lights staggered around the perimeter. The body of the object was pitch black to the eye, and the lights on the craft did not reflect on to the body of the craft. The color tepterature of the lights were approximately 3800 to 4200 degrees. The only way I could see the shape and size was because the craft was blocking out the sky where I would have seen stars.

The craft was moving very slowly from south to north along the boundary of east New Jersey and the Hudson River just south of the George Washington Bridge.

Now, I'm an Air Force veteran who served in the Security Police for five years from 1970 to 1975. Since that time I have been a professional TV Cameraman with two Emmy awards to my name. I'm a good observer and I know what aircraft look like and how they behave. This object was larger than a blimp, yet moved as slow or slower than a blimp. But, the characteristics of a Blimp is such that there is a slight listing from side to side or front to back. This object behaved as if it was on a solid track. I have never seen any craft have that type of control over itself in the atmosphere.

The lights on the craft were indescribable, but I'll do my best. The short version is that they were organic. Each light seemed to warble back and forth. It closely resembled what an amoeba looks like just before it splits in two. At that point there is what looks like a figure eight shape in which in each half of the figure eight is an organism.

This is what the lights on the craft resembled, except, the intensity of the light would move from one half of the figure eight to the other in a cadence.

The next part of this report would be considered high strageness and I will understand if you don't want to include it.

I had read a lot of reports regarding the telepathic traits of beings with abductees.

So, I decided to do my own experiment. While focusing on the craft, I thught to myself, "If you can read my mind, give me a sign."

The split second I finished that thought, the lights on the craft immediatelyfloated along the bottom of the craft and switched places with each other. Now, someone might say that it was a coincidence, but I would demur. I continued to watch the craft move up the Jersey coast at it's slow speed and nothing with the lights changed again. I probably watched travel for about three miles. Oh, the craft also had a solid red light

on the center of the rear.

While I was observing the craft I continued to look for other conventional aircraft, as that is a major flight path for the surrounding airports. I did see a couple of smaller craft on the opposite side of the river, but frankly it didn't appear that anyone knew this craft was there, which was curious.

The size: If I held my arm up at full length,, it would have been larger than my entire hand.

At that time, I had subscribed to UFO magazine. The one published in the USA.

In the back they published various UFO organization. I called one and submitted a report.

I forget what the name of that org. was, but it was based in Washington state.

I also called the local police to inquire whether or not there were any UFO reports. The Desk Sergeant told there were. Later that night I called a friend and told him what I saw and he patronized me. But, the next morning he brought me the newspaper (New York Daily News) and there was an article regarding the sighting. It mentioned that some elderly couple were accosted by the lights and object in some manner. The article also stated that the State police put out a statement saying it ultra light aircraft.

And there's the cover up.

There's no way that what I saw was a fleet of ultra light planes.

My sighting was one of complete silence. The craft made not even a purr.

I had the article at one time, but since have misplaced it. I'm sure it can be found at the NY Daily News archives.

Well, that's basically it. I'm shocked I actually had the patience to type it out.

All in all, it was one fantastic sighting.
