Full Description & Details

I am a 30 year old NJ resident, who was born and raised in Trumbull, Fairfield County, Connecticut. My home was on a hill approximately 1/2 mile from Exit 47 (Park Avenue) of the Merrit Parkway, and a little over one mile from the Trumbull Shopping Park. I am currently an attorney in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Other than my family members and fiance, I have never told this story to anyone.

Back when i was in middle schooll (in the late winter or early fall of 1985) my mother excitedly woke me one night shortly after i went to sleep, rushing me outside to view a strange object flying over the house. When I went out to the back yard, I immediately saw an enormous object flying directly overhead. It was triangular or boomerang shaped, with several lights (maybe 6-7) on the bottom that appeared to change color as the object moved above. In fact, it was the only the lights that were visible at first. The object moved very slowly in a large circle over the area, emitting a quiet hum as it moved. At some points, the object appeared to be still, hovering in the air above the neighborhood. Although we lost site of the object on 1 or 2 occasions, we could hear the low humming noise as it continued its turn. We were able to view the object for approximately 15-20 minutes (or at least it seemed that long) before it rapidly disappeared over the treeline (in a Southerly direction). My mother initially thought it was several new planes from nearby Sikorsky that were flying in some sort of formation. In fact, we debated whether it was possible to fly in such a perfect formation, at such a low altitude, through a turn, making this quiet humming noise, with any planes we know about, until we both saw what appeared to be some sort of undercarriage or metal structure between the lights. This is what convinced her that this boomerang shaped set of lights was a single structure. I was already convinced. This object was huge....like a football field ! There is no way that this was any kind of flying aircraft that we know about as the general public, & no way it was a series of aircraft flying in formation. It is also not consistent with any of the weird experimental stuff i have looked into. In fact, I couldn't even make a reasonable argument for any of the legitimate explanations i've ever heard for "UFO" sightings that would explain what my mother and i saw. And its unusual for a trial attorney to have no argument at all!
