My hsuband (now X) was coming back from a friends house who lived in the country outside of Asheboro N.C. back in October of 1973. I remembered the date because I had a newborn baby that was two weeks old, it was the first time we took her out.

We left our friends house at 2:00 am. We were on a country road and had to stop at a stop sign before turning left. All of this is still so vivid. We looked ahead of us and saw a light dancing in the sky, my husband had been in the military for 4 years and worked with aircraft and he said I've never seen anything that can move like that. This object could go back and forth and up and down in seconds, it was unbelievable, we stayed and tried to figure out what we were seeing. As we sat there it flew and hovered over our car. I remember a very brite light and it remember different colored lights around it but I can't say what they were. I remember my husband saying it doesn't have lights like a military aircraft. I stuck my head out the car window and my husband looked through the windshield. I can't tell you how long we were there for some reason that part is a blank to me but I heard my husband say lets get the HELL out of here. That was unusal for my husband to swear. We were very straight, no drugs or drinking. Er turned left onto another country road and it followed us. It stayed right behind us at the same speed which I'm sure was faster than the speed limit, I watched never taking my eyes off this craft, we were very scared, then it left as fast as it came and in a second it was behind the mountains far in the distance. I think we got home around 6:00 that morning although our friend only lived about 30 to 45 min.'s away. The only people we told was a few family and friends years later.

It's something I'll never forget.

The reason I'm writing this know is because my family recently went through Roswell. We stopped at the musem and I read so many articules that sounded like what we had seen. I had two of my daughters and my husband (now) with me, it was really nice being able to show them it wasn't just me who saw this object that I've told them about all their life. Although they have always believed me I think they are convinced now.

Im 50 now and I was 18 years old married with a 17 month old and a 2 week old daughters. My husband who was with me was 24 years old and had been in the military for 4 years.

I really don't remember what it looked like because it was so dark that night and the light was so brite. But I do know it was a disk shape. It seemed to have three lights around it and a spot light that shown down on us.
