Appearance / Description of Object(s)

Flat oval back end, flat bottom, sides curved away from the rear ( as if the craft were oval shaped toward the front, not triangular shape ). I could not discern the color of the craft, only the blueish corona cloud, or ionized gas looking cloud that covered the back end.

Size of Object(s)

Back end approx 60 to 100 feet across, 15 to 30 feet high. Did not see the entire length of the sides, but it appeared longer than the width.

Approx one half mile away or less. Estimated 500 to 1000 feet altitude.

Rural area, west end of the Busch Wildlife Area. Scattered houses along the state highway that it was crossing as it headed west.

I was driving south on Hwy DD approaching stop sign at Hwy D, on the west end of the Busch Wildlife Area. Just past the intersection ( estimated one half mile from me ) the craft appeared in the darkness when a blueish corona or ionized gas cloud appeared at the back end of the craft. The blue corona effect lasted for 3 to 4 seconds. During this time, the light from the corona illuminated the side of the craft forward from the rear, until the sides curved out of the line of the light source, soI was able to see the craft for some distance forward of the back end.

The back end was a flat oval shape, and the bottom appeared flat. I estimate that it was 60 to 100 feet across at the back. The craft was moving very slowly to the west, or to my right.

Two nights after my sighting ( the following Sunday ), there were TV news reports of the sightings in Illinois on the east side of St Louis the previous Wednesday. Proir to those tv reports, I was not aware of the Illinois sightings which occured two days before my sighting west of St Louis.

There were obvious differences between my sighting and the Illinois sightings. In Illinois they reported lights shining to the ground, like searchlights or running lights, which were not evident in my sighting. They reported a craft that was triangular in shape, whereas in my sighting the craft appeared to have sides that curved from the back to the front, as if the craft was shaped like a long oval with a flat back end. Although I could not see all the way to the front fo the craft.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

It appeared to be a man made craft, but unlike any I have ever witnessed. It appeared to travel much too slow to be a winged craft. The blue corona effect at the back end is unsual for any plane I know about. I have worked in the aircraft industry, and I can't explain how the craft was getting lift.

I am as open minded about the possibility of UFO's as anyone, but I honestly don't believe interstellar travel is as likely to explain these types of sightings as military advanced craft can be. I have no doubt that there are other civilizations out there in the cosmos, but the distances are in my mind far too enormous to travel in metal ships. However, we know from the past 60 years that the military produces advanced craft that are seen by people long before they are publically acknowledged by the military, for reasonable security reasons.

My father and I saw this UFO in the summer of 1947. My father was 47 years old. I was 17. We were about to get into his car when he glanced up and said, "What the heck is that?" When I looked up I'm sure my mouth dropped open. There was a round object just sitting above us. I say it was luminous as though the sun was being reflected off its surface. Later we agreed that there was no way to tell if the object was round such as a globe or round and perhaps flattened like a saucer. Looking up it just seemed round. There was no way to judge the altitude, but it was low enough to clearly identify it as something which neither of us had ever seen before. (or since)

It looked solid and it was not moving. I remember my father holding up his arm with his thumb outstretched and saying to me, "With my arm up like this, I can cover the whole thing with my thumb." I remember thinking that it looked about as big as a penny, but that is of course very subjective. There were a few clouds in the sky being moved by the upper winds, however there was no apparent drift by the object. It simply remained in the same position for approximately ten minutes. It then moved in a direction away from us, gained speed and altitude at what seemed like an accelerating pace and within about ten seconds it reached an altitude where it was no longer visible. I remember my dad still staring at the sky and saying, "Wow, I wonder what that thing really is." We lived in a rural area and in later conversations with some of the neighbors could not locate anyone who had seen the thing. My dad asked me to tell him exactly what I saw and my impressions of it, then he told me what he saw and our memories about this incident coincided exactly. I started scanning the sky a lot more frequently after that, however, I have never seen anything like that since. WSL

I personally do not belive the earth has ever been visited by space aliens. There is simply no reason why a species of alien who can master interstellar travel would come to our little galaxy, go two thirds of the way out on one of the spiral arms, seek out our tiny, inconspicuous solar system and then decide that our earth was worth a visit. I must say or course it is not outside the realm of possibility, however, the probability must be on the order of billions to one against such a visit. I would give anything if it were true because I also believe our destiny is out there among the stars.

I was 8 years of age or thereabouts & it was Christmas eve.The time was around 2200hrs.I was looking out from my bedroom window & noticed two red lights moving in circles very quickly about a mile from the house.I immediately closed the curtains behind me to ensure this was not a reflection.I continued watching the lights for about 10 minutes amazed at the speed of them.The lights started at rooftop level then moved in an erratic circular motion so high I could no longer see them.The sky was clear.The lights remained equidistant & their brightness was constant.They were moving in a very erratic concentric circular motion upwards.I continued watching until the lights moved so high they were no longer visible.The area below the sighting was a large park in Firswood called Longford park. I went to the park the next day to look for evidence but unfortunately did not find anything.I realise this sounds unbelievable but I know what I saw.It was no aircraft/light show/firework/reflection/weather anomaly etc.Over the years I have told various friends etc but was met with the same response,usually disbelief.I have no problem with this as I would probably react in the same way had I not seen what I saw.I did contact the MOD a number of years later to enquire about reporting what I had seen but did not pursue it.

I never really thought about UFO's too much prior to this incident.Now I definately believe we are under observation from a source that is non human. The body was greyish and the protrusions seemed slightly darker, but it was difficult to see. Lights were whitish/greyish and the one (maybe two) that blinked seemed redish.

In straight arm, the size seemed to be around 2 cm and after a little while the size shifted to be around 2 mm. It was hard to estimate the actual size which could be anything since the distance to the object was hard to determine.

In addition to the above there were a strange sound which seemed to be emitted from the object. I believe I was able to see two trails of exchaust or something like that and there were to or three stationary light on the object (whitish) and I could see one that blinked. I was at a field around 1900 h and it was calm and clear weather.

I have never seen anything quite like this, so I really can't say. It could of course have been one of Sterling Airways smaller jet's, but I'm not sure.

UFO's is a collective term for something which is not identified, and as long as there is an flying object which is not identified there excist at least one UFO. When it comes to the question of extraterrestrial life I'm certain life has not evolved on earth exclusively. However, I concider it highly unlikely that mankind will ever actually meet extraterrestrial intelligent beings due to the vast distances in space, not to mention the presumably short lifespan of any intelligent lifeform, cabable of interplanetary locomotion. I have not read much about the subject in advance.

I was a pilot on a DC 10 (Air new Zealand) and this vehicle flew across our flight path at Flight level 310(31000Ft). It was very very close aprox 150 away and about 20ft above ant right angles to our track. The vehicle was about the same size as the DC10 but No wings, no tail, but all windows well lit up with a very bright white light. the windows were quite large (by airline standards). I called Nadi, Honolulu and Tahiti on HF radio and advise near miss with Eastbound Traffic. All area controllers gave the same answer, we have no traffic except you. It was dicussed with the rest of the crew and to avoid being met by men in white coats no further action was taken. Air new Zealand Management were very one eyed about sightings, as it was considered that one need help if one admitted to a sighting.

There was another phenonama about two years later on the LAX-NADi track. Just north of the Equator. Time 0200 LST, the moon had set, I was in conversation with another ANZ aircraft on the HNL-AKL track on vhf radio. On my starboard side but ahead the there was a very bright white light that lit up then area about 100 miles by one hundred miles. It was night just turned into day. The sea surface was very visable. The other pilot in the HNL-AKL aircraft commented that he had the same visual effect but it was on his Port forward side. This light reamaind on for about 5 minutes and then it went all black again. This was discussed at length on VHF, and the conclusion was say nothing unless we wanted a visit from pointy headed men in white coats. So again the info was suppressed.

I have had one other in flight sighting and several surface sightings in New Zealand.

These were NOT Met balloons, one was at dusk, one in braod daylight, and several at night. They are there, but not close.

I would have to guess that the object was a spere or a cylinder. The surface seemed to be matte black, probably like a stealth bomber surface but at the distance it is hard to say. no lights or atmospheric effects were noticeable nor where any features on the object, but again it seemed incredibly far away.

due to the distance I couldn't state with accuracy but I would guess the object probably wasn't too huge. Maybe about the size of an automobile or a cessna.

Their was nothing extremely special about the area I saw the object. I was at an elementary school in a small town. There is an airforce base that isn't too far away, maybe 20-30 miles in Tobyhana PA. There is also a university with a small space observatory about 1/2 mile away from the sighting. The same university also has a small physical plant for power.

I may not have the date or year exactly right although I know it was in the 80's and I was old enough to clearly remember the day. It was warm and late spring and the sky was quite clear. While playing during recess I looked up into the sky for whatever reason and I saw a small black dot, almost like a gnat, sitting perfectly still in the air. I watched the object for a few seconds and then it rocketed out of view.

The acceleration was what really shocked me. It literally went from 0 MPH to a speed I couldn't comprehend. The coolest thing was that there was no gradation to the speed it was like going from 0 MPH to 1,000 MPH in less than a second.

There were no lights or anything of that sort that I could see but the object seemed to be very far away so details would be impossible to know. If I had to state a shape I would say it was either cylindrical or spherical although again that was hard to tell from the distance.

I asked other kids at the time if they had seen it but I had no luck. You really would have to have been looking at the exact right time and place as the whole thing only took about five seconds or so. I would love to hear if anyone else saw anything similar in the area at the time.

No man made object could move or accelerate at the speed sighted. It could have potentially been something like dirt on my cornea which I would be too young to know about but the movement of the object did not seem organic, nor did my eye feel as if there was anything on it at the time.

I woke up to smoke a ciggarette in the middle of the night. I sat on my front porch like usual.

I was looking sky prior to sighting and saw nothing. About half-way threw my smoke (still looking) I saw 6 bright lights turn on and the shape of a disc appeared above my cove. The lights were underneath the disk. The object was floating and making no noise. The object was very large too (could have been 3 times size of airplane, im not sure) and was very low to the ground (few hundred feet in air, maybe a 1000). About this time I felt total panic (never before experienced) . Then a red light turned on and started going counter clockwise around the disk (there were tons of red lights around the ship and only one would light at a time, but the lights could go around the huge disk in a matter of a second). The red light was located on part of disk going up ward from the bottom where i saw the white lights. This area of ship seemed much smaller. The top was not viewable at this point. Nobody would ever believe me is the only thing I could think, and I thought mom was in bed asleep and I could wake her up and she could see it and I would not be crazy. It only took me maybe 1 min to get her outside. By that time the object was all the way across the sky headed to Frayser (area of town west from Bartlett). The red lights were very visible and mother saw them too. Once out of view i went in (long after mom). During the night on several occasions I would hear this noise in my head that I never heard before and experience a feeling i never felt and ran to the window to look and see if it was there again. I did not see in sky but was way to afraid to go outside. I have no way to explain but I know the disk was above my house. I could just sense it. Mother had the same experience I did (which was told next day). This happened atleast 2 times during the night. The sound was like a very high pitched ZzZzZzZzZ.....that was only heard in head, not ears. The feeling is even harder for me to explain. I felt lighter than usual like something was going on, but as to what I do not know. Mother thought feeling was kindof like being lifted. I was unable to sleep rest of the night. For months afterwards I was unable to do anything but look in the sky at night times. If i saw object in sky I watch for any abnormalities. I did see a few strange things after my experience in the sky but they were nothing compared to the one I described and don't feel like going into. After constantly being laughed at by everyone I told story too, I kindof deemed myself crazy. Its been over a year now and just recently the memorys are coming back to me. I found a picture that I drew day after the UFO and it looks pretty close to what I saw. I keep thinking about this all the time too, just wondering what happened. I know this, whatever was in that disk knew I was there! It came back several times too! This would have to go down as the weirdest night in my life.

Mother had seen before and I believed her but was sceptical. I had good amount of knowledge from tv shows and mother. Did no think i would experience it. I did have nightmares of ufos as a kid. Two large equallateral triangle objects moving in formation side by side as though they were one. They were pitch black and darker than the night sky but could have been easily missed if you were not looking at the stars last night. They were essentially cloaked from view as three lights on each triangle looked like stars that might make up a constelation. They lights pulsated which could have looked like twinkling stars. The reason we know they weren't just stars, a constellation or a satelite is that the all moved together and the two objects were solid moving against the night sky and in front of stars.

With my fist fully extended I could not cover up one of the Triangles. They were very large objects witha diameter that appeared to be 100-200 feet longer than a 747. They were both identical in size and were flying a strange looking angle relative to one another and the direction they were moving.

The weather conditions in San Francisco last night were crystal clear and ideal for sky watching. The crescent moon had also just dropped below the south western horizon about 15 minutes prior. There were no clouds, fog or wind. It was a warm day and mild evening but the tempture dropped overnight as it was clear out.

At around 6:45PM on December 3, 2005, a friend and I were outside on our back deck looking to the crystal clear night sky facing west when we saw two large black triangle shaped objects move slowly and at a low altitude (500-1000 feet) directly over our house from the north west Mt. Davidson area to the south east. We live in San Francisco on the south east side of Mt. Davidson at the cross street of Terasita and Los Palmos in Miraloma Park. The two distinct objects that we observed were flying in side by side formation and appeared to moving as one. Both craft were perfect equilateral triangles with pulsating dim star like lights on each tip of the two triangles, six lights in total. These were most definitely two solid black large triangle shaped objects which from underneath appeared to be much darker than the night sky as they passed in front other stars in the night sky and were darker than they night sky with no moon. The objects were very well cloaked (best way to describe it) against the background of the night sky and could have easily been mistaken as constellations but they were moving slowly which is what caught our attention. The entire sighting lasted for approximately 30-45 seconds. The objects did not appear to change speed, direction or altitude and moved slowly together overhead until they dimmed out of sight near the south side San Francisco crossing over 280 onto the north west of the San Bruno mountain range. I have been an amateur astronomer for over twenty five years now and I can say with conviction that these were definitely Not planes, satellites, blimps, helicopters, the International Space Station, meteorites or fire balls. They were two solid triangle shaped objects that move in perfect formation together and made absolutely no noise as traveled directly over head. The two craft were identical in size and were significantly larger than a 747. The weather conditions in San Francisco last night crystal clear and ideal for sky watching. The crescent moon had also just dropped below the south western horizon about 15 minutes prior before we witnessed this once in a life time sighting. We were both truly shocked by what we had just seen to the extent that we felt it necessary to call into two local TV stations (CBS 5 & KGO 7) to report what we witnessed. I am in my late thirties and the other person in their earlyy 40s. We both have always been rather skeptical of alien spacecraft visiting Earth simply given the vast distances between stars and the time required to travel such a distance without bending space/time. But having just what we say with our own two eyes list night, we can now say with absolute conviction that they were highly advanced craft that ones gut feeling tells them to be 'other worldly'. Nither of us had been drinking nor were we in any other altered mental state of consciousness at the time of the sighting. If anyone else saw any strange objects lights in the Bay Area night sky last night please feel free to contact me. I consider this experience one of the most amazing events of my lifetime that I cannot refute. Weather the objects were deeply classified military X-Project space craft or Alien cannot be proven (yet) but the objects had an eerie feeling to them in the way that they moved together and at the angle the triangles were positioned in flight. I was briefly staying on an inactive farm (fields used for hay) with some friends outside Round Rock, Texas (near Austin).. There had been a thunderstorm with little rain earlier, the sky was still full of clouds and sudden winds. I felt uneasy and was watching the sky from a second story porch. When I saw the light (about midnight) I called my other friends to witness it. It was an orange light (circular) that swooped rapidly across my field of vison and then zig-jagged back and forth in front of me and then seemed to go down vertically until it was behind some trees. We thought it was a UFO right away. We went to see what was going on outside - laughing and making up silly rules (don't show your teeth, don't make threatening gestures with the flashlight). But it stopped being funny very soon. There were cows and dogs and maybe even a donkey making a racket. I was so afaid I could hardly breathe. The hair was standing up on my neck. We just stopped - could not go any further and returned to the farm house. We did not lock the door because I believed that they (whoever they was) could enter if they wished and I was trying to stay in a friendly mode. I know this is discrediting but two of us were stoned (myself and a man I didn't know) and two were not - I had woke them up. I laid on a bed and absolutely thought I would die of fear - there was a cat with me and it alternately was purring and yowling and scratching. I put the thought out - you are scaring me to death; I can't handle this. The next thing I knew I was "falling asleep" although the substance I had taken made natural sleep very unlikely (concentrated peyote juice).

I woke up in the morning about 6 hours later.. People were very confused about what had happened and one man (who I didn't know) was very angry - he said before he left, "I don't ever want to see any of you again; I don't want to talk about what happened."

Years later after I had told my story to a few people,, a man who had heard it brought a man who had been the mayor of Round Rock to talk to me. He had been awakened by two Mexican kids riding a burro who pounded on his door and told him a space ship had landed in the field. It was after midnight - he had been asleep. Eventually he took them in his car to find it. When they drove out on country roads, the kids said, "It's gone now." He always thought it had been a prank until he talked to me. It was the samel summer; we couldn't say for certain whether it was the same day or week.

Other detail: I attempted to be hypnotized to get more details by a woman who was not trained specifically in this area. She taped the session and on the tape I told her pretty much the same thing except with a thick Texas accent (which I don't have anymore). On the tape I heard her say - "Now its OK for you to tell me the rest of what you know." There is the sound of me breathing. I don't remember much of her process and I did not come up with more information (like what happened after I "fell asleep.") When I had my first child in 1980 I had to have an emergency C section. They were moving pretty fast and put anesthetic in my IV and my doctor leaned over and said "Goodnight" and then my vision went like the old dot on black and white TVs. But in that second I was terrified because I remembered another time with someone/thing leaning over me to see if I was out. It was the memory of my experience in Texas and I held onto that when I later recovered and said hello to my son.

Both of my children have had somewhat odd experiences (that they told me about) which are inconclusive but evocative. I had weird experiences as a child - I had a "game" that I played when I was outside as a small child. I used to get frightened in the field by our house and freeze and not breathe. This was in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin.. I wondered if I and my children had been 'tagged." My son (now an adult) used to joke about his nose implant because he set off a few scanners at video stores by walking through. None of us are fanatic about any of this. Nothing has happened to me or us in a long time but I still have dreams in which I see lights in the sky and am compelled to go outside - I don't want to but do anyway as there is an inevitability that I must. The dreams don't go past this - I am walking alone to a uninhabited area because I must. I am both excited and dreading.

When I was a young woman I knew some older people who wanted to have a UFO experience. They'd go down to the beach (Texas coast) and watch for them. I NEVER PARTICIPATED. I couldn't say why then. Later I was very clear that it isn't a great thing to have happen.

My son and my daughter had dreams and my daughter was afraid of aliens and drew pictures of them (age 10 -12). I did not encourage her nor have movies or books about this subject available to her.. My son had a complicated dream or experience that happened when he was alone in the house during the day (he also was about 10) - crows with big black eyes came into the room and stood around the bed. I can't tell you how I felt about this - terror mostly - but I did not make a big deal it. I did write it all down and then totally lost the papers. And then I asked him about 4 weeks later if he remembered his dream and he had absolutely no recall. And I never foundt my draft of his telling it to me.

Appearance / Description of Object(s)

The craft was a typical saucer shape. It was of metallic appearance, a rather blue metal. I think I recall 'windows' but am not sure. The base of the craft certainly had indentations, square or rectangular in shape, I think. These might have been something to do with the propulsion system or alternatively perhaps they housed feet. An interesting feature of the sighting was the strangeness of the movement of the craft. At the time I could only describe it to myself as seeming to be spinning (like a toy top), but at the same time appearing to 'snake' in an impossible way. Always the same view of the vehicle presented itself to me - the underside and the side that was facing me. If you slowly extend your arm whilst describing circles of the hand from the wrist, that's the nearest I can get to the sense of it. But such a movement would mean I should have been seeing different views - and I wasn't. Many years later I read a similar description in an intelligent book on UFOs - the words 'falling leaf' were used. This seemed to tally with my own experience.

Size of Object(s)

Relative size 6 inches across, maybe a little more? It appeared to be not far above the treetops. I would estimate that it was around 20 feet across, and something in the region of 7 to 9 feet high.

Description of Area / Surroundings

The sighting was on the outskirts of London. No special sites or features in the area as far as I'm aware. Mostly Victorian residential housing. The immediate surroundings are described in the details of my sighting, above.

Full Description & Details

I was walking north up the Archway Road (A1), terraced houses on my (the left) side of the road, a small area of woodland on the right. Between the woods and the road is an overground part of the London underground system, leading to some sidings a few hundred yards further north. A couple of hundred yards north of me was a large triangular roundabout on which was locared a pub (possibly no longer in existence). Beyond this the main road continued north. A road fiiltered in from the left, beyond the row of terraced houses.

I became aware of something in the air sweeping round from behind the end of the row of buildings, crossing over the road and turning to head towards me. My first thought was that it was a bird. (Yes, really! But that it might be a plane did not occur to me - too small, wrong shape.) As it came closer my brain figured it wasn't a bird so the next thought was that it was a black bin liner blowing in the wind. But that idea was soon discounted when it became clear that the object was saucer shaped. It continued to travel towards me, almost parallel with the road, and then veered off to its left, over the trees just beyond the railway line and disappeared from view beyond the trees.

The Archway Road is part of a very busy trunk road (A1) leading north out of London. At the time of the sighting (which lasted perhaps 20-30 seconds at most) I recall no traffic passing me. The only other individual I saw was an elderly man on the other side of the road, with walking stick and head down, walking north.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

For reasons too complicated to go into here, I did not at the time of the sighting believe in PHYSICAL extraterrestrial UFOs. I was more open to the possiblity of sightings of UFOs seen as differently coloured lights in the sky (although I'd never seen any). So as far as I can understand, there was nothing in my history or conditioning that would increase the likelihood of my believing I'd seen or expecting to see a metal saucer. I had read some books on the subject, but tended to pooh-pooh much that I'd read because it didn't coincide with my view that UFOs would be of a more rarified composition. This will sound stupid, but I can't remember where I got that idea from!

Other Comments

This was the only sighting I've experienced. I wonder about it often to this day. How could I see something so unusual in London (albeit on the outskirts) and yet hear no reports of others having seen it? (On the other hand, I never reported it either!) It was not unheard of for the Archway Road to have a quiet interlude, but the fact that there was no traffic admittedly lent the scene a dreamlike quality. The fact that there was only one other pedestrian on the road at the time was not so peculiar, though. That part of the road was only really used by residents returning to or leaving their homes - no shops or other facilities on that stretch.
