First caught my intention as a very bright, intense white star like light. Then 'light went off' and in its place was a silvery metallic oval shape which changed to a sphere when it shot sideways from left to right, then forward.

This is a coastal area with tidal inlets, I was about 5 miles from Southwold which is a small fishing and tourist town. No military activity that I know of. The area is approx. 32 miles from Rendlesham Forrest

I am female and was 57 when I saw something unusual at 8.30am as I was travelling from Westleton to Southwold on December 10th 2008. I had just pulled onto the A12 at the White Hart Pub, heading for Southwold. Straight ahead of me, some distance off, and just under the cloud line, was a very bright 'star', hanging perfectly still in the sky. I was intrigued to see such a bright star in the daylight and was wondering which one it was. It was straight ahead, so I watched it for about 10 seconds, when it changed to an oval silver metallic object.

When the oval object started to move, it appeared spherical, (shadow on the underside like a ball) It shot across the sky at great speed towards the sea, then short forwards to follow the coastline towards Lowestoft. Then I lost sight of it as the trees on the side of the road obscured my view. The unusual aspect of this sighting was that there was no vapour trail as it flew in a relatively cloud free patch of sky and it moved away at very great speed. In a blink.

My father was in the RAF and I spent my childhood near runways. I am very familiar with the appearance of aircraft in flight, both military and civilian types.

I am retired now, but have done nursing and care work in the past. The only interesting fact is that I have lived on many RAF camps ( including Lindholme, Compton Bassett, Coltishall, Haverfordwest, Linton On Ouse) I attended Air Shows with my father, saw fighter aircraft overhead for 18 years and have a reasonably good idea of the usual time a fighter jet can cross my line of vision.

I read a little about UFO's, but had only ever heard of 'saucers'. I had never read or heard about spheres, or the fact that UFOs can change direction in a second. I am convinced I have seen a UFO as it resembles photos on your website and moved at incredible speed.

Why I have reported this now, is because something struck me as strange about an email exchange I had at the time. I originally left a message on a Southwold news website and someone responded to say he was passing on my sighting to someone 'with an interest in UFOs' I was pleased, hoping for a 'chat' about similar sightings. I regret not keeping this email exchange because I got a very patronising and rather odd reply from the person with UFO 'interests'. He was unimpressed by me saying I had lived right next to military runways for 18 years. He said that he had once been on a golf course and had also been fooled by sunlight on an aircraft. Then he stated that there had never been one single verifiable sighting of a UFO EVER. I replied what about RAF pilots' experiences? What about astronauts? He did not reply.This struck me as an odd response from someone I had been told was an interested party. It felt more like a cynical debunker, or something more sinister and got me wondering WHO WAS HE?

Right Circle Cylinder Grey Shaped Object with wings on either side sighted above tree lines in Loring Maine 3/6/12 @ 3:55 PM. Object appeared out of Nowhere, floating in stationary manner for approx. 10 minutes, then literally vanished. I met 'Death' he is real and nearly killed me too, I met other beings from Orion too...

it was white with a blueish tinge. it looked like a ball with a widened tail. it was quite big and moved fairly slow across the sky. Im sure it was a comet but cant be positive.

My son was outside and saw a bright light moving in the sky. He called me to come look at it. we saw a bright white light with a blueish tinge to it moving across the sky from the east to the west. It was going fairly slow. It was something I have never saw before. we watched it for about 10 min. I tried to take a few pictures of it but they didnt turn out. I went on facebook to report what we saw and found a few other friends also saw the same thing.

had an oval shaped orange was not a plane because I had no colored bulbs that have a plane. The whole ship was orange and was flying so low that perhaps could hear the noise.

Hi: In the night of Saturday 7 April 2012 at 7:35 pm, my wife the l saw a very rare object with an elliptical shape orange color.

l took several picture because I saw him for about 20 seconds then disappeared after about 3 minutes I saw another of the same shape and same color, this could see it with binoculars it looked weird, really what I was seeing was a craft not of this world that it I saw about 30 seconds. both are moving from north to west, I can assure you that my wife and I saw was not of this world.

It was a vivid bright white light object. Appeared to be smaller after a half an hour but still had the vivid bright white light. It did not vary much from the fixed point northwest night sky position i viewed it in but it did get smaller and slightly higher in the northwest night sky which seemed that it was traveling due northwest.

The moon was to my southeast and the bright white light object was in front of me to the northwest. At first from my reference point being the moon it seemed to be one quarter its size. If you put a hand in front you might eclipse it but i did not try that and i did not have a camcorder with me so i would guess the object was several inches and appeared slightly disklike or spherical in shape.

It was at a relatively fixed point in the northwest sky at night and a near earth object in space.

The bright white light object in the northwest night sky 4-3-12 at 9 P.M. was vivid in its brightness from my vantage point.. I was standing outside in a parking lot on Sandy lane in Warwick, Rhode Island and viewed this spectacle for a half an hour. It was extremely bright and easily viewed with my naked eye. It did not vary much from its seemingly fixed point but did get smaller after a half hour but the brightness of the white light object remained constant. The moon was to my back in the southeast and I turned and I looked and saw how bright the moon was and then looked at the bright light object in front of me in the northwest night sky and it was just as bright in luminosity and it wasn't a plane or any type of aircraft. There was no noise. At 9.p.m it just stood out as plaln as day in the northwest night sky and even appeared to be slightly disklike as it got smaller after looking at it for a half hour. I wondered if it was a comet or a meteor but it didn't act like a shooting star at all. It wasn't a twinkling star or aircraft. The bright white light object looked like it was in space at a relative fixed point near earth from where I was standing and in a half hour the brightness of the object was still viivid though it was smaller and its movement did not vary too much but did appear to be smaller and a little bit higher up or farther away in the northwest sky indicating a northwest movement. It was vivid. I left at 9:30 and went home.

no. I'm just reporting what I saw whatever it was. I'd be pleased to find out it was a comet but it sure wasn't a meteor. It was a vivid bright white light object in the northwest sky at 9.p.m 4-3-12 and I noticed it because it was unusual.
