I was visiting Gomera in 1978 (or 77 or 79) in the month of may - Valle Gran Rey is due west and has a small fishing community and few small tourist hostels at the time. I was around 25 then.

Every evening the tourists and many locals gather at a wall that stretches approx 1 km along the shoreline to watch the sunset. It was a totally clear day, no clouds, a not very spectacular sunset. About 30 seconds after the sun had sunk beneath the horizon at an unknown distance a white ball of unknown absolute size comes up from the ocean and hovers for 1 minute about 2 degrees above the water. The relative size of the object is 1.5 times the suns diameter. It glows in shining white light, a perfect sphere. a beam of white light exactly the width of the objects diameter shines down to the water. No sound from the object can be heard. It then takes off in a 160 degree angle (to the left and up) leaving a white glowing tail behind that slowly fades. This tail is absolutely straight (no flames) and remains straight until it fades away during about 2-3 minutes. Many people take fotos (I dont). The locals remain very calm. everybody else is slightly hysteric. Next day the local (spanish) paper has an article with photos.

My wife and I were visiting some friends at their home in Anchorage Alaska. At that time we lived about 45 miles outside of town in a little ski village at Mt. Alyeska. We were leaving their home but when we got in the jeep it was a C5 jeep, I said to my wife we need to get gas or we might not make it home. We started to drive to a gas station when for no reason I felt like we needed to hurry home and I sped out of town. My wife asked me why I didn't want to stop to get gas and I simply said I think we can make it, she argued with me and even though it was about 11:00p.m. and there was no special reason to be in a huuy I felt rushed. We were driving, following the road which curved around a body of water called Turnagain Arm. Suddenly my wife said "what is that?". I looked up into the sky and saw some lights in the distance that seemed to be moving very fast in in our direction. At that moment in never even crossed my mind that it was a UFO. It then swooped down and was hovering about twenty feet above our jeep and was moving at the same speed as we were. My wife said "what is that and I leaned forward over the steering wheel and looked up. I was in shock and I said "screw me, thats a UFO". It appeared to be round about five or six times bigger then our jeep. It had red and green lights around the outside shining down and revolving around its exterior but it lite up all the ground all around us with white light. My wife was braver then me and seemed to be enjoying it but I was scared stiff. It kept pace with us for several miles when it just took off over the hills to our left. There was a dirt road and my wife yelled at me to follow it. I said no we will run out of gas, she was not happy that I wouldn't follow it but there was no way. We talked about it all the way home. We wondered who we should call but decided no one would believe us. We did make it home but on fumes and we called our friends whose home we were at eralier but they acted like we were nuts when we told them what we saw. We stayed up for several hours talking about it. The next day in the paper there was an article that said starnge lights seen in the sky.

My wife and I had no doubt that what we saw was a UFO. It happened twent years ago but I will never forget what we saw. The reason I decided to send this too you is because quite by chance I am reading one of John Keels books and I am amazed at how many of the experiences he reports sounds like the one we had.

It was Friday night.Cloudy outside with a light drizzle of rain.I was sitting in livingroom area watching TV when out of my right eye I saw a big bright burgundy colour object moving slowly twords the ground.As I jump up and ran twords my livingroom bay window I called for my Husband to come right away and see this.He came and saw nothing at that point, then I discribed to him what I just saw.Then out of no where another shot upward out of the ground and rised up at least 100 feet or less and went twords the ground and then another one shot upward twords the sky and came back down onto the open field area in back of my house.All three were large round burning balls of fire , like the size of a full moon.Not red, not yellow, or green, but Burgundy colour.Never have seen anthing like this ever before.I wanted to call police, but my Husband thought that the Police would think we were nuts and would not believe us at all.Since then I have told 2 other friends of this sighting.

driving friends home after the premier of the movie "grease" in dallas. (for time ref.) driving south on hiway 287 4 to 5 miles south of interstate 20 in arlington texas. it was a clear night . when i saw a large black triangle object about 100 to 200 feet above the ground.i would describe it as the size of 2 football fields. it was slient. i drove under the corner of it. there was an illumination to the bottom and i could tell it was not a smooth surface. i remember driving away as fast as possible and checking to see if it was following us. it was not. i don't remember talking to anyone about this because i think we must have thought it was a bell helicopter project. but about 10 to fifteen years later i meet up with jim who was with us that night and ask him if he remembered that night and what he saw. he confirmed the object just as i rememebered. four are five years ago is the first time i ever heard anyone talk about the flying black triangles.

It was about 5pm in Gulfport, Florida. I was headed to work down Gulfport Blvd and I noticed numerous military jets all across the sky on either side. That was very unusual and I don't remember seeing anything quite like that. I continued on and I heard the local DJ on Wild 98.7 mention that numerous callers said there was some type of UFO in the sky. As I got a better look when heading into South Pasadena, I got a clear view of the sky and I noticed this huge object directly overhead with this huge contrail. It appeared to be traveling at an amazine speed and I couldn't make out it's shape. It didn't look like any plane but more like a sphere or some weird round shape.

I was approximately 12 to 13 years old, living in rural Ohio. We lived on a 101 acre farm, surrounded by other larger and smaller farms.We raised soy beans. My brother and I shared one the 2nd story bedrooms, which had a window facing south overlooking a 25 acre soy bean field.

One night my brother awakened me and asked if I felt an odd humming sensation, which I did. Then we both saw light appearing outside of our window. We both jumped up and ran to the window. We both saw a large saucer shaped craft, It covered the entire 25 acre field,was going from West to East very slowly (approx. speed 10-15 miles per hour) It's altitude was approximately 15-20 feet over our field. From our vantage point on the 2nd story we saw a side view of this craft (it was approx the size or height of our 2 story house) This craft was very bright luminous silver/white in color. The south field was about 50-60 feet from our house. At the most, this craft was approximately, 100-150 feet from us. We could see what appeared to be portals with creatures that appeared to be facing and staring at us. The craft slowly covered the distance of this South field and then when it started going over our 2nd 25 acre field directly East, it accelerated at an extremely hight rate of speed, going at a 40 degree angle. At which time we could see the perfectly round shape of this craft as it accelerated to a very high altitude (it appeared no biger than a bright star). It then did a 150 degree reversal, then a 70 degree angle towards our back fields. All of this accelerated activity taking no more than 1-2 seconds!! We woke our parents up and they found this very hard to believe telling us to get to bed so that we could get up for school.

The next day they had reports all over the place about this low flying object. On TV, Radio and the newspapers. Some lover lane couples in Milford, Ohio said that it was flying so low that it broke tree branches.

Within 3 days of this incident, an officer from Project Blue Book came to our farm and wanted to interview us. Our parents refused. He told them that our neighbors directly east of us reported this same craft and said that it had landed in their back field, just directly East of our last field. When we went back there that same day there was a large, circular depression, that appeared to be slightly burnt and covered almost the entire 25 acre field. Many people were there, some taking pictures.

What I find odd about this incident, is that young teenage boys would just go back to bed and immediately go to sleep?? After just seeing a UFO??

On 9/6/04, I reported observations of a very bright cylinder shaped object that appeared in my yard, and was witnessed by 2 people. Refer to post listed on this site on 9/6/04 from Liberty, KY.

Whether coincidence or not, I believe a follow-up report should be included on this site.

Approximately several days following the reported incident of August 22, 2004, I became very ill. I developed a severe skin rash which spread all over my body and, at the same time, a dime-size lump appeared on my left breast. In addition to these symptoms, I was physically weak and nauseated most of the time. I did not immediately connect these symptoms with the August 22 incident wherein myself and a friend encountered the bright cylinder in my yard. Interestingly, my friend reported to me that within days of our experience, his eyesight seemed to be failing. Alarmed, my friend sought medical attention and he underwent surgery on the optical nerve of his eye.

My symptoms turned out to be breast cancer. I had 2 surgeries and 35 radiation treatments.

Prior to the 8/22/04 incident, both myself and my friend enjoyed reasonably good health. I have never been prone to skin rashes and have always done self breast exams. The lump in my left breast had a sudden onset, and appeared at the same time as the severe skin rash. Although cancer was the diagnosis, none of the 3 physicians I consulted could explain the origin of the rash.

My friend and I stood within inches from the opening of the cylinder and the immense bright light emitting from the beam. We interacted with the "craft" for at least, 10 minutes.

I don't believe there was any deliberate malicious intent by the "beamers" but the almost immediate dire physical effects on both my firiend and myself, may have their origin from this exposure.

It is my hope that our government and our scientists will eventually take these reports seriously and cease downplaying their importance or writing them off as insignificant. The excuse for not doing so, seems to be that no empirical evidence exists to support such encounters and sightings. I argue, that experiential data may lack direct evidence but as subjective as it may be, I believe the growing volume of individuals reporting unexplained phenomena deserve an answer.

I was 15 years old and me and my mon were traveling from greenville sc. to california. we were taking hwy 40 but when we got close to the grand canyon we went north to I think hwy 36 witch cuts over to the canyon. we were driving along on flat ground about 50 mi from the canyon. I first saw what looked like a jumbo jet, only it was very close to the ground. as it got closer I noticed it was not a man made vehicle at all. we were in a 1972 pinto hatch back, this craft went over the back of the car I could see it through the window in the hatch back. it was about 70 or 80 feet long and about 15 feet in diamiter. it had a row of port hole like windows along the side. it was no more than 100 feet from the ground. it made no sound. had no wings. I dont have a clue how it stayed in the air. it was going only about 30 to 35 mph. the sun was behind me so I could see it very well. it had writing on the bottom of it that looked like hyroglifics. I didnt just see it I felt it. I wasnt scared, and to this day I cant say why I didnt say any thing to my mon. that ship was very real and not from this world. it was aware of me im sure. it changed my life. there is no doubt aliens are here and probably have been all along.

At about 11:30 pm, while standing outside with my girlfriend, I observed in front of me a bright light falling at a high rate of speed. The color and size was like that of a street lamp viewed from a distance. It crossed through my field of vision through a tree, so I was not able to see its origin. It then disappeared over the neighborhood trees, heading down. The whole incident lasted about three seconds. I continued to look to see if it emerged back into the sky, but was unable to find it again. There was no tail, no sound, no distinguishing features. I live near an airport, and see planes all the time over my house. This was NOT a plane.

My father had been mowing the lawn one summer evening when I was around 10 years old. He called me outside and asked if I wanted to see a UFO. I thought he was playing games with me and expected him to pull out a frisbee he found on the lawn. When I replied yes, he pointed to what I thought was a rather bright Mars (a brighter than usual red "star") in the Western sky and told me to "look there." I told him I thought it was Mars (the sun was starting to set), but he told me to keep my eye on it. I did, and it started to move very slowly to the ground, moving a little back and forth on the way, then stop and hover, then dart an an angle to a higher elevation, then dart again to another point, then hover, then slowly descend again. I watched this for approximately 20 minutes but then got bored. I checked again a few minutes later and it was still there performing these stunts. When I returned a little while later it was gone. My dad watched it on and off for just under an hour and told me when it left it just shot up straight into the heavens. He and I still talk about it from time to time. Otherwise I've not had any other encounters directly, but here are a few others from that time:

- While driving to Church one Sunday morning with my father and brothers around the same year (1975 or so), I was occupied with something on the car floor while my brothers and father watched a low-flying UFO (saucer) pass quickly over the car at a low elevation - but I missed it.

- Around the same time, one of my father's closest friends and co-worker (Mr. Henry W - now deceased) on the other side of our town was heading out to work one summer morning around 6am and saw a low-flying saucer pass over his house and neighborhood.

- I can't remember if this one was from another friend of my father's or from a friend of a friend, but around the late 1970's or early 1980's in Rockland I was told the story of a man walking his dog one night who saw a very small disk (maybe 3 feet in diameter) hovering over a transformer on a utiliy pole and apparently sucking up electrical discharges from the power lines.

- While driving to college in upstate New York sometime between August 1985 and May 1986 with my best friend, we were leaving Rockland County and entering Orange County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway listening to the (now defunct) WRKL AM radio station when they broke in with an important news bulletin - that Rockland County Sheriff's Deputies had been watching a large disk hovering over the Indian Point nuclear reactors for appx an hour, and they had a live report from a reporter on the scene who described it and spoke to the deputies. We found it unusual when we called our parents the next day that there was nothing in the local newspaper regarding this event or on the NYC metro area TV news shows.

- While working at a company in Northern NJ sometime around 1992-1994, I spoke with a co-worker (Mike P) and his wife at a company dinner regarding 4th of July activities I had recently attended at Cornwall-on-Hudson. They then told me how they attend the events there each year and in a very recent year they were heading home after the fireworks one night and saw the then-infamous Hudson Valley UFO - they were stuck in traffic on a local highway with hundreds if not thousands of others when they saw it. They described it as moving silently, huge in size, filled with many lights - but most impressively, due to its proximity to them and the many other witnesses, they were able to see a great deal of intricate "latticework" that made up the structure.

- Don't know if this is related, but when I was a kid in Nanuet in the 1970's my mom, dad, me and my 3 siblings would be watching TV in the evenings in our family room and on many nights heard furniture moving and footsteps in the bedroom above us (this was the bedroom for me and my brothers). My dad would check but never find anything. Initially we were always very frightened but then learned to live with it, though I was often terrified to go to bed at night for many years because of this. I never really felt comfortable until I moved out completely many years later.

- When in my 30s I was in a local bar with some friends and my youngest brother. We somehow got on the subject of UFOs and I told my friends about my one and only UFO sighting (the red light in the Western sky described above) that I shared with my father. They then joked if I was ever kidnapped by aliens and given an anal probe. I answered no, but then described a very vivid dream I had had where I did encounter aliens: in my dream I was sharing my bedroom with my youngest brother on the top floor of our house, so I figure this must have been sometime around 1978-1981, and I awoke (in the dream) one night to hear my parents talking in their adjacent bedroom. From their discussion, they were looking out their window on the side of our house down at some individuals in a neighbor's yard, wondering what they wanted. My father sounded curious but concerned for saftey, while my mother was scared and near panic. I of course wanted to know what was going on, and my little brother was waking up and asking me the same thing. I therefore looked out the window over my bed, which was on the same side of the house, and I saw in our next-door neighbor's yard 3 or 4 little men (bald, slits for eyes and mouth) appx 3-4 feet tall in gray jumpsuits standing around what looked to be an old-fashioned stand-up tripod box camera. They seemed to notice that I was looking at them and swung this "camera" toward my window. When I looked at it, I saw a blue shaft of light coming from it and it paralyzed me completely. I also remember my vision suddenly "whiting" out, like a burn-out on a video or when an old-fashioned flash bulb would go off, or like a bright pulse from a strobe. I heard my brother asking me if I was alright and then heard my dad come in the room yelling at both of us to "stay away from the window!" He then yanked me down onto the bed and I fairly quickly regained my movement and sight. He then told us to stay away from the window, which we did, as he and my mother had just had a similar experience (one of them had frozen up). I then remember we had a discussion about calling the police but don't recall who, if anyone, did. By now my other siblings were awake and wondering what was going on, and my mother decided to let go downstairs to let our little toy poodle out into the backyard. She was giving an excuse that the dog had to go to the bathroom, though it was evident this was not the case, but the dog was curious to see what was outside, as she seemed to be aware something was amiss out there. My mother really seemed to be letting the dog out in the hopes that she might scare away these intruders. I then remember the dog cautiously going out the door and my mother quickly locking it behind her. My siblings and I had run down behind them, yelling at my mother to stop, but we were too late. I don't recall anything more beyond this, but while telling this story my brother looked disturbed. I thought he was thinking I was crazy, but then he and his girlfriend, who was also at the bar when I told this story, told me some weeks later that he had had the same dream with all the same details.
