Duane Nelson, Jeanine Nelson and myself were at a friends house playing cards. When we left to go home we took a two-lane road that was a short cut to get to our place in Rapid River. (Located in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan about 50 miles south of K.I. Sawyer Airforce base.) Jeanine was the first to see the "star" moving radically in the sky. I leaned forward to take a look and was awed and skeptical. The way it was moving one just knew that it could not have been an aircraft. Duane pulled the car over wanting to be "the first to shake thier hand". Keep in mind that this is still just a dot in the sky. When he pulled over he started to flash the headlights. Next thing you know, the star quit its erratic behavior and zoomed to a point directly above the car (still a dot in the sky). I started to get fightened at this point and begged to go home; which we did. I kept looking at my watch, because I had heard that people who were abducted lost time. At some point I quit looking at my watch, because I can't tell you when we arrived at the intersection, where the sherif's car was, or when we got home. When we got to the intersection I remember looking up and seeing this large disc-like object hoovering about 50 feet or so above the car. I remember pointing to the object, then to the Sherif, then back to the object and the Sherif nodding his head up and down very slowly with an awed look on his face. It all seems so surreal looking back because even now with the UFO so close, Duane did not get out of the car to be the first to shake their hand. When we drove away, we didn't talk about it, and when we got home, we just went to bed. The next day when we told our friends about it, of course they all thought we were on drugs or something until the report on the radio. It said that the Sherif's department chased an unidentified fliying object past Stonington until they lost sight of it. I was told years later that the Sherif (John LeMire) did a story for a UFO magazine.

Other Comments

The craft was circular with what appeared to be an opening in the bottom in the shape of a diamond with a line through the center. Perhaps a door. It had multi-colored lights that rotated and flashed around its circumference. It also had a spherical rise in its top-most center that could be described as a viewing area. It was your typical UFO that it seems everyone has seen.

One night I woke up for no reason to check on my children. When I went into their room I saw this big white light and thought it was a plane coming towards our home. I decided to watch it and see if it would crash into our roof, as it seemed low and close enough to do this. I then saw a plane with flashing red and green lights following this light. The plane was about 1/10 the size of the ball of light. I then realized they were both heading south towards Chicago. Then I thought it must've been a UFO and went back to bed. The next afternoon I realized what I had seen that night and went into shock.

One month later I met a woman and in our conversation she mentioned she heard about a UFO sighting in Chicago over the radio last month. When I mentioned the date and time I saw the UFO she was surprised as it was the same timeing as when she heard of it. That was the confirmation I needed to know I wasn't crazy.

My life changed abruptly after that sighting. Within a few days I took a course in The Silva Method and realized I had powers to see the past and future and do healings. I worked with these gifts for some time and then just turned them off due to fear. Now I think it might've had a lot to due with the sighting also.

In 1980 I also saw a silver saucer shaped ufo dive into the Pacific Ocean off of Santa Monica beach around 8:00 AM. There were several other people there who also saw it.

Hello

My name is Ron Fagan. I am 45 years old, married

with three children and a business owner in Knoxville Tennessee. I am about

as average as the next person and not prone to making up stories. Like

most people where UFOs are concerned I have always been very skeptical

until now. On Monday Feb. 22, 1999 I stopped at Hardies to get a coffee

and biscuit on my way to work as I sometimes do. The time was approximately

9:40AM. The weather this morning was exceptionally warm and clear with

no visible clouds, a very bright morning. Most of the time I would leave

Hardies and turn right and head on to work, but this morning I pulled straight

across the road into a parking lot to fix my coffee. As I got ready to

leave and looked out the windshield I noticed an object sitting just above

the tree line directly in front of me probably no more than three blocks

away. I could not make out what the object was and at first I thought it

might be a construction crane or something. The object was bright red not

as in a red light but painted very bright red. The sun was reflecting off

the side of it and so I could tell this was a large metal object of some kind

and it looked totally out of place. As I was staring at it, it began to lift

up and move toward me at the same time. I have to say that I was dumbfounded

and mesmerized as I watched this bright red craft of some kind just glide

through the sky and come to a stop right in front of me. The craft hovered

at about 100 to 150 feet off the ground and no more than 300 feet in distance

from me. My window was down and there was absolutely no sound coming from this

craft. The craft seemed to be changing shapes as I looked at it which I decided

it must have been rocking or twisting in the air, which made it hard to determine

the actual shape. I came to the conclusion that it must have been triangular

or boomerang shaped. The craft had several large round lights that were pulsing

on and off. The lights were incredibly bright and the best way I can describe

the light was that it seemed to have solid spikes shooting into the air and then

dissipating. I remember red and yellow lights, if it had other colors I don't

remember them. I would guess the size of the craft to have been somewhere between

50 to 100 feet across. It was hard for my mind to grasp what I was witnessing.

I wanted to see wings or propellers or something recognizable but there was only

this bright red craft with these unbelievable lights just sitting there in the sky

in front of me making no sound. The amazing thing was that I was not frightened,

mesmerized yes. The craft began to move away from me at a slow rate of speed, on

the same path that it had approached me on. It was staying about the same distance

from the ground. I decided to follow it since it wasn't moving very fast. I followed

it through a neighborhood and back onto a main road and got caught at a traffic

light which allowed it to get out in front of me and off to my right. It was

unbelievable to sit and watch this thing just cruising above the tree tops at

about 35 to 40 miles per hour. I pointed it out to the man in a truck next to

me and he watched it with me for several 100 feet

and then just drove on. I followed it into another neighborhood where I

came to a clearing. It was just sitting there about 100 yards away and from this

view I could see what appeared to be a metallic like cone protruding from underneath

the craft. A woman approached and got outof her car and watched it with me,

her explanation was that it must be a weather balloon. I don't think so. The craft

began to move again andI headed back onto the main road where it crossed over the road

I was traveling on, US Hwy. 411 south. I followed it for approximately another mile at

about 40 MPH. I turned left off the main road and traveled about a third of a mile and

watched as it passed over several construction workers and none of them ever knew it

was there,because it made no sound. I pulled into my church's parking lot and watched as it

rose straight up until it had become the size of my fingernail. At this height and

as small as it appeared from this height, I could still see the lights on it blazing

as they flashed on and off. I had to get to work as dumb as this may sound but my

wife would be opening our store and she would be alone so I drove off with this thing

still visible, can't believe I did that but I did. I know most people will never

believe this story but I know what I saw and I will never be the same. This was

the most incredible event I have ever witnessed and I can't get it off my mind.

Just a note to say that ever since this happened I have been searching the internet hopping to see photos showing something like I witnessed, if they are out there I haven't found them. If I had been in the possession of a camera that day I could have rocked the world or I could have disappeared, Just kidding. I do find it amazing that as far as I can see know one has ever photographed anything remotely like what I saw. I know they are here and I know they are real, Why can no one seem to get a picture that is indisputable, or are these pictures just disappearing?

I was on my way home from Burgettstown with my 2 sisters and my mother who was driving. I was about 10 and the year was 1989. It was dark out and we were at the T in the road where 18 (the road we were traveling on) intersects 50. At this T in the road we stoped to make sure no cars were comming from the left or right. In front of us was a small bare grass filled hill revieling a large view of the night sky. Befor we could make our left hand turn onto 50 I heard my mother well from the front drivers seat "What the hell is that?". As my 2 sisters and I looked out the front wind shield we say a Large disk shaped object half the size of a football field with about 100 lights 360 degrees around the bottom outside edge. Object was suspended about 200 feet above our car (about 2 teliphone poles high) for 15 seconds. How I know it was nothing our government was manufacturing was because it was a Disk, it Huvered above out car, and most inportantly it made NO Noise. All the machined we make because of the pullys and pistons make NOISE. After about 15 seconds of huvering abouve out car it slowly moved over and past out car and down the road we just came up (18). I don't ecpect anyone to believe this acount unless they have seen it for there selves. Now I am consumed with the thoughts of "during those 15 seconds of huvering over out car WHAT IF??????

Last week ( January 2005) I was out of town and my Aunts brother who was in town visiting from Virginia said he saw a triangular object with lights shining down like a laser not a flashlight in my back yard. The funny thing is " I never told him of my encounter 16 years ago. When I told my mother who was a witness of my first encounter said jokingly "Well David it seams like they are following you"

I was living in South Africa then. Me, my brother, and his two kids 6 and 15 years old were sitting on the tarrace of our house in the holiday resort when we were spending vacation. The terrace was overlooking Indian Ocean and we were watching amazing atmospheric phenomena, it was very spectacular thunderstorm of enormous proportions. The whole horizon over Indian Ocean in front of us was being iluminated from left to the right by thunder lightings that seemed to jump from one side to the other. We were fascinated by this spectacle and were talking about it with my bro, speculating on how far from us it had been happening. I should add, that we were not sitting in the middle of this storm, we were actually watching it on the horizon and the skies over us were clear and full of stars, and it was so far, that we could not hear any sound of these thunders. The only sound we could hear was coming from the beach, and was made by big brakers. That's why it was so amazing.

And then my brother shouted - hey, look here, what is it? And I saw it in the very same instance - big, silvery, greish machine flying from South to North along the beach. In two, maybe three seconds she was above us. It was as big as Jumbo jet flying one, maybe two hundred meters above your head. We could see it very clearly, it looked like triangular wing, with oval dimmed lights along the edges. I saw something like strange construction features on its body and I knew immediately it was not an airplane. It did not make even slightiest sound, it moved fairly quickly to the North and disapeared behind the hiill. The whole event last for 10 sec at the most, she made very short arc and disappeared as quickly as she came. Judging from the perceived size of the object and the length of the arc she made ,i would say she could fly at the speed of say 200km/hour, like the landing craft. We were talking about this all the time, but this was not the end of the spectacle. After the strange craft disapeared, we kept on looking into the sky, and after 1 -1.5 hours we spotted three lights in a triangle formation high in the sky. They were moving pretty fast, quickier then most satelites do. then all the lights together took a sharp turn, made like half loop, rapidly accelerated, got together, and disappeared. It was like watching SF movies, and space ships going into hyperspace! I know it sounds unbelievable, but it all happened to me on this strange night on the Indian Ocean.

I stil have my diary in which I made a note about this event, and even made a sketch of it. If someone is interested, I can send a scan. I was living in South Africa for almost 14 years, skies are beautifull in this country, clear and stars are bright. As a hobbist I have a great interst in astronomy and related subjects and I watched the stars frequently. During that time I have encountered three sightings of UFO, out of which the one I described above was the most spectacular. I used to be sceptical about EL, but not anymore, I know my truth. And the only thing that may change my believe is, if in next ten years or so, we all find out about kind of new propulsion system which is completely noiseless and was in prototype phase from early nineties. I n other words, I will have to see what I saw then, to be convinced that what I saw, was not what I think it was.

Hello: I took this photo in summer of 1978 in ValDor,Quebec ,Canada.

I was on a fishing trip.

Looked up and saw object hovering over tree tops.

Grabbed camera and took 1 shot with I believe Kodak instamatic? camera with the old 110 film I believe it was at the time.

I had to lower camera to wind film and when I raised it to take another shot craft was gone.

This photo was taken in a very remote area,still that way today.

Nearest town of significance is some 60 miles,nearest airport at the time was over 200 miles away.

This is native virgin country,and this photo is not a plane or balloon as there is no one or no government or no agency that could have been doing anything.

This object hovered for at least 15 seconds that I saw, could have been there for a while as my line of vision to fish way away from the craft and I had not looked up or noticed it.

Craft then departed silently at a very high rate of speed.

It was the evening of August 24, 2003 and I was camping in a tent in the campground located on Second Mesa. Second Mesa is part of the Hopi Reservation in Arizona.

Three other witnesses saw the same thing as I did that night. We were just starting a campfire (around 8:00 PM) to cook some food for ourselves that evening, when I heard the sound of after burners roaring. One witness turned around and screamed,"I see one! I see one! O, my God! I see one!"

I just thought to myself,"Oh, yeah, he is just seeing some military aircraft that run over the reservation for training flights." When I turned around (along with the other two witnesses--one of which was an ex-pilot from Vietnam) I saw four round yellowish-orange lights and following close behind it were two blue colored lights that seemed to be separate from the main craft. The four lights seemed to be emitting from the bottom of a very large craft! At first I thought the craft was flying very low, but then it dawned on me--the craft was being chased by at least eight fighter jets moving at full MACH according to the ex-pilot witness who also had a couple of nighttime monoculars. This witness had put the estimate of the speed of the fighter jets at about MACH 2 and this very large craft (larger than a Nimitz Class aircraft carrier, perhaps a couple miles in size!) was easily manuevering away from them, along with the two minor craft that followed behind it.

The craft was heading from the northeastern sky to the southwest, with the fighter jets in tail. We thought that that was it, but then it manuevered at a 90 degree angel and proceeded to come about in reverse back towards the Cultural Center. This was a great oppurtunity for an observation! It flew above a second time and the lights on the bottom changed from four separate yellowish-orange lights to two crossed bands of yellowish-orange lights!

The craft had three tyres to it (very similiar to a Mayan-type pyramid), and there were small lights like windows all around the sides of these tyres. The shape of the craft was hexagonal. I don't know the precise altitude of the craft, but we can use the strobe lights of the fighter jets as reference. You could only see one strobe light blinking, when there are actually two strobe lights on a fighter jet, so we could only say that this craft and the two additional blue orbs , including the fighter jets, were flying at an extreme altitude.

The craft flew over us a second time and then continued on its southwesterly movement and disappeared. The next day, some Hopi Indians, none of which I revealed anything to, had witnessed the same crafts flying over First and Third Mesa that same night. I find it also interesting that the timing of the sighting was within the period of the aproach of Mars to earth that year.

I think it is important for everyone that has had an experience like this to start coming forward and not be afraid. It seems that of late, that many sightings are starting to occur all around the world. The Hopis believe that we are entering into a new world of existence and that this old world is becoming destroyed through a process they call "the purification". The Hopi have said that the people of earth will again be saved by what they call "the ant people" who take us into their "ant-hills" (spacecraft?) and then transport us to safe havens on earth and other planets. The Hopi belief is that the earth will be struck by a number of great earthquakes caused by an imabalance at the North and South poles. They understand this pole shift as "two twin warriors who ride on top of two giant water serpents. When these Pokanghoyas (Twin Warriors) jump off of the heads of these water serpents, the water serpents twist around the entire world and it causes earthquakes and floods. And this is how the world purifies itself."--Hopi Acolyte of the Water Clan--Hendrickson Begoshytewa.

It is also interesting to point out, that I saw many strange objects in the night skies of the Hopi Reservation, and I highly recommend UFO watchers to make the trip to the Reservation, the Second Mesa Campground is ideal and if you are invited into one of the villages on top of the mesas, you will have ideal observation environment! I was told by a number of Hopis that these spacecraft visit Hopiland regularly because it is considered "the Center of the Universe" (Tuwa na'savi in Hopi).

On the night of January 2nd 2005, three of us witnessed an unidentified floating light hovering over our field out back in Norfolk Connecticut. The sighting occured between 10:30pm and 11:15pm and we left before it disappeared. The light was white and moved about in the air in random directions--vertically and horizontally, diagonally too. The sighting occurred approximately 200 yards away. The altitude of the light ranged from just above ground to 100 feet in the air. When two of the three of us looked at the object out of the side of their eyes, it appeared to be flashing brightly for an instant. The area is very rural. It occurred over a small field of ten acres and there are few houses in the area, primarily hovering over a copse of pine trees in the middle of the field. Upon noticing the light, we stared at it for a while wondering what it could be. It wasn't a spotlight because we drove our car around to the other side of the field where another house sits and the light looked exactly the same still. We were afraid to venture close to it because we just didn't know what it was and thought it might be dangerous. We've never seen anything like this before and its been our weekend home for over 20 years. We have noticed in other sightings reports that lights such as these have been seen in Torrington recently, as well as in other parts of COnnecticut. It made no sound whatsoever.

We did actually take a great photo of the object. And it will be submitted to this site. It was also enlarged and enhanced. It looks like the moon but it's not. There was no moon that night--you can check it. It was overcast. And there were no stars. The light seemed much smaller than the moon yet larger than a star.

"A Norfolk Couple's Mystery: What Was That Ball of Light?"

NORFOLK-At about 10:30 on the evening of Jan. 2, Drew Quale and his wife, Sally, were with a friend at their weekend home on North Colebrook Road, packing up their car for a trip to Bronxville, N.Y., when they say they saw a brightly-lit orb hovering above a 10-acre field nearby.

The object zigzagged over the dark landscape, sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly, darting "randomly like a hummingbird" from just above the field to 100 feet in the air, according to a report the Quales submitted to www.ufoevidence.org.

For about 45 minutes, Mrs. Quale took pictures of the object with her digital camera, following it from the backyard as it ranged over a copse of pine trees in the middle of the field and behind a crabapple tree on one edge of the field. The Quales were from 200 to 300 yards away from the object. It made no noise.

About 45 minutes later, at about 11:15 p.m., the Quales decided they ought to leave. It was a Sunday, and they had to make it to Bronxville, a town in Westchester County, that night and go to work the next morning. As they were leaving, they drove to the other side of the field and into an ancient driveway, noting that the shape and intensity of the object didn't change. They left while the object was still visible.

"We were afraid to venture close to it because we just didn't know what it was and thought it might be dangerous," the report says. "We've never seen anything like this before, and [this has] been our weekend home for over 20 years."

Mrs. Quale, a public information officer for the Bronxville School District, said the object appeared to be about the size of a basketball. The Smith College graduate said she has explored the possibility that it was ball lightning, a vaguely-understood natural phenomenon in which a ball of electrical energy appears and moves horizontally through the air. She now doubts that was what she saw because it stayed so long, even after the Quales left. It remains a mystery, she said.

"It was like someone had a mouse and was moving a cursor," Mrs. Quale said. "It was like you might move the cursor this way and that way and click on the word you wanted to correct. We thought it was so weird we didn't want to go out there."

Mr. Quale, a Harvard Law School graduate and a senior partner with the Seventh Avenue law firm of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP, was quoted in Norfolk Now, the community newsletter that first reported the story, as saying, "We still have no idea what it was."

Though the object looks like a full moon in pictures, Mrs. Quale said she was certain it was not the moon or any other celestial body. The sky was overcast that night, she said, and everything was black except for the ball of light.

"It was absolutely black, because there was cloud cover and no moon and no stars, and if you looked out at the field with the eye you couldn't see anything but this white light," she said.

A meteorologist at the Western Connecticut State University confirmed that the sky was overcast the night of Jan. 2. Records compiled from a weather station at the Great Mountain Forest in Norfolk show that at 10:31 p.m. the temperature was 35.6 degrees Fahrenheit, and the humidity was at 97 percent, which is very high. The wind was calm to mild, and a very light rain fell sporadically between 8:30 and 11 p.m. that day.

Sixty percent of the moon's surface was illuminated on Jan. 2 in Norfolk, but the moon didn't rise that night until 11:31 p.m., 15 minutes after the Quales left, according to data from the U.S. Naval Observatory.

The Quales' strange encounter is certainly not the first of its kind in the region, though the Quales appear to be decidedly more credible than the average UFO spotter.

UFOs of all brands-from hot-dog-shaped ships with blue spotlights emanating from portholes to a small, star-shaped craft hovering above Main Street in Winsted-have been reported in Litchfield County on Web sites like www.nuforc.org and www.ufoevidence.org.

One story described a "mothership" visiting Litchfield center in 1971. Another reported a "bizarre star" that moved quickly across the sky in Washington in 2002.

One recent report bears a striking resemblance to what the Quales say they saw. On Sept. 7 of last year at 8:30 p.m., a 50-year-old quality assurance technician from Torrington reported seeing an orb whisk across the sky from the balcony of his second-story apartment. The man, an "amateur astronomer from a very young age," wrote that he saw a globe moving slowly through the air for some time before darting away quickly and disappearing.

It "appeared to be illuminated from within," according to an account on www.nuforc.org. "At the last before it faded from view, it was very dimly lit and looked like a crystal ball. It looked transparent, like a globe or sphere. From the time it moved quickly till it faded out could have only been a second or two. This quick movement probably covered 10 degrees of sky."

The man reported seeing the object again a week later, on Sept. 12, and then again another week later. The object looped back and forth and then zipped away.

"It was a very unusual zigzag type of pattern," the man wrote in a report on www.ufoevidence.org, where he also posted a diagram of the object's trajectory. "It did this zigzag type pattern about four times before flying off."

While on a road trip through Arizona and Utah on Labor Day weekend, 2004, my son and I visited several national parks. We stopped for a very brief visit in Zion National Park near Cedar City, Utah. I took 27 photographs in the park on the morning of September 7. The accompanying image, #22, is the only one with anything unusual. It is the raw, unmodified, image taken by my Minolta Dimage A7 camera.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I had imaged a UFO until I was back home that evening.

This is a first for me. I've never seen anything like it before. I've been looking for similar photographs on the web, and for others who may have captured the same object, but so far without success.
