I was taking a walk on the ice of lake Hiidenvesi approximately 60 km north of Helsinki. I was following two jet planes, when I suddenly saw a very bright white spot above the woods to my south. It was -18 degrees centigrade and bright sunshine. I grabbed my binoculars to take a closer look. The object turned out to be a box-like rectangular rocket with red and yellow lights at the back. The two jet planes turned towards it, but then it suddenly vanished. I could no longer see the UFO although the sky was clear blue and bright!

Finnish description: Tiistaina 20. 1. 2004 olin kävelyllä Hiidenveden jäällä n. 60 km pohjoiseen Helsingistä. Seurasin kahta suihkukonetta, kuin yhtäkkiä näin voimakkaamman valon metsän yllä etelärannalla. Sääolosuhteet oli kirkas auringonpaiste ja tartuin kiikareihini katsoakseni tätä valopilkkua. Se osoittautui maitotölkin muotoiseksi laatikoksi jolla oli takaosassa keltainen ja punainen valo. Suihkukoneet lähestyivät sitä, ja silloin se hävisi kokonaan näkyvistä kirkkaalta taivaalta!
