Full Description & DetailsAt 22:30, 13 Feb. 2004, I live in a shoreside residence on Pennant Cove, about 15 miles south/soutwest of Halifax. I was in bed preparing for sleep when my wife, beside me, said, “There’s a bright light in the sky.” She was looking through our bedroom window to the southwest over the sea..I raised myself on one elbow and looking out, saw a reddish-yellow, unblinking light hat appeared stationary in the sky at an elevation of about 30 degrees. Looking much like a streetlight at perhaps a mile or more distance, it was too big and much too bright to be a star though in colour and size we could have been persuaded that it was Mars at its brightest.
