Hovering above empty field behind residential area. Within 10 miles west of small airfield, 3 miles south west of Territorial Army Centre.

My neighbour came to my door at about 21:30 grasping a camera and asking for my dad, a senior police officer. He was out, but I asked him what was wrong and he explained that he had seen six red/yellow lights hovering above a field behind a residential estate. He said that he looked at them for several minutes, just petrified and he ran home and got his camera. He returned to find them still there, but when he raised his camera, they started to disperse upwards and "woosh" away into the sky. He took a single photograph, as they left and then returned to the housing estate straight to my door.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Look at the photo, decide for yourself. But we think that it's not of this world.
