Very bright, roundish light.

Relative size was about 1/4". It was fairly far away, at a great altitude.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude

Several Miles away.

Description of Area / Surroundings

Rural Area. No military sites close by.

I was looking up in the sky around 6:00 pm or so. I saw a bright, roundish light rip through the sky at a high rate of speed. it was moving to the left. It stopped mid air and stayed stationary for about 20 seconds. Then changed course and went back the way it came at a very high rate of speed before totally disappearing within seconds. A friend was with me and saw the exact same sighting. We both were standing there in disbelief at what we had seen.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No way. It was moving entirely too fast, and then stopped mid air within an instant at several thousand feet in the air.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

Wasn't for sure how I felt about them. Not really convinced either way. Haven't spent any great amount of time reading or researching about them...but this experience definitely peaked my interest.
