Very bright orb with an orange-ish tint.

About a centimeter across. Looked like it was about 300 feet wide atleast.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude

It was about a mile away but continued to get closer.

Description of Area / Surroundings

In the Sonora area looking over Columbia. It was over land full of mountains and trees. Must be something near by since helicopters looked to see what it was too.

Full Description & Details

I saw a huge bright light, very bright; hovering upwards and it was around 11 P.M. It was so bright the sky actually glowed a bit. I was home alone so I didn't have anyone to show. Then the light disappeared. It reappeared again but lower and closer. It floated upward again, then exploded bright orange. 2 minutes after the thing exploded and lit up the night sky two helicopters quickly flew to that area, circled it, then flew back to ground. They obviously knew something was going on.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No way. Nothing on Earth could have done what I saw. And it couldn't have been a rocket because after it disappeared it showed up again lower and closer. And I could tell it was the same thing.

Well, I am 14 years old and I happen to have a lot of UFO encounters. My mom is the only one who believes me because three times, ufos i reported to her, showed up in the news or newspaper/
