suburbs, we were in a block of flats but the area where the craft was stationary, had single story homes, it was situated above the roof of the houses

In 1976, I was living in a high-rise block of flats in Melbourne, Australia (we were on the third floor). One night at about 7:30, I spotted an object through our large kitchen window. I could see it clearly; it seemed to be floating, quite steady with no movement at all.

I called to a friend who was in another room, when he saw the craft, he agreed, yes, "He could see the object" This craft would have been100 meters away from us, the object looked cigar shape, metallic and possibly 20 meters long and 4 meters high.

The skin of the craft became "clear" on one end, (as if a portal had opened) we both saw two “beings” inside, they were watching us.

This lasted a few minutes then the craft simply "Vanished.”

I became uneasy when I saw these two beings watching us. I sensed something was not normal, "internally" I was very nervous.

Yes, at this point I doubted my sanity.



There was knocking on the door, we let two neighbours in; they were yelling at us "Had we seen the UFO?"

They stated, "they had driven under it" and then rushed back to the units to view it better. They saw it from a few different angles.



What always amazed me was, none of us ever spoke of it again, like, it became an old memory, something you "wouldn't bother discussing.”

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

not a chance- the sides of the craft became clear and two being were seen by two of us walking around, they came to the side of the craft, and watched us...

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

before the sighting i could care less about aliens and UFO's, never thought or read about them at all, years afterwards i started to think about the encounter
