A flashing pulsating light which went on for some 30 minutes

there was a fog type mist around the area of light, it was very hard to gauge the size

around 1/4 mile and lying very low just below a hills

A rural area with cows in fields, not many houses, the odd farm house or two.

I was traveling back to cork from tralee, it was a dull cloudy night, at about 19:15 i notticed a flashing light in the sky, at this time i was miles from no where there was no street lights and the only objects around were mountains, it was deep into the country side, from seeing this light a pulled over to observe, i have never witnessed anything like this before, it was a pulse of light lying low over a hill which moved up and down then showing 3 lights, i stayed to watch this for some 30 minutes, it was very close but not close enough to see exactly what it was, i was very skeptical to get out of my car to investigate this further, a very strange moment in time.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

it was in the middle of no where it was most definitely not man made
