As I was driving home from work at around 12.10 am I approached a T intersection and my attention was immediately directed toward night sky where I saw three orange lights. Two smaller lights to the left and a larger one (about twice the size) to the right. They appeared to be several kilometres away (at least 2) but seemed quite large for how far they were. The moved quite quick, left to right, right to left and even diagonally. Their movement was unlike any aircraft I know of. For example, they would move horizontal across the sky and then vertical but the motion was fluid and smooth. The intensity of the lights diminished and then increased about twice - quite gradual. The large light eventually faded out. At that point I called my girlfriend and told her to check it out, she did and saw the two remaining lights. Her house was in alignment to where I was. About 5-6 kilometres away. Her description of the distance and position was consistent to mine, that being to her left and to my right. I have since spoken to another person who claims to have seen the same thing a week prior to me.
