About the height of two floors and it went right above our heads.

Countryside. I have seen military plans fly past in the day before.

It was 23:30 myself then 16 and my younger brother then 12 were taking the dogs for a late night walk. It was a clear night not a cloud in the sky in fact that very night we had spotted more than 5 shooting stars, anyway in the distance we spotted a light approaching us, as it got closer we stood still and we could see it was a large triangle with multi-coloured lights underneath.

It passed over our heads about two floors high and hardly made a sound we stood fixated as it passed us and then disappeared.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No, nothing that has been made for general public knowledge.
