Appearance / Description of Object(s)

boomerang shaped,dark with lots of lights all around it blinking,but not to bright. It had different color lights yellows,,reds,blues but mostly white,that almost looked blurry. these looked small in comparison to this huge object.

It was huge,covering most of the sky thru out the town. Maybe about 50 feet wide and could only see the bottom of it.

It must have been 1 mile above us

small town in Orange co NY ,not to populated,farms around area.Stewart airbase was close by (10 miles),near Newburgh ny. West Point isnt far away.

On or around the 19th of July 1988, I know this cause it was my wedding anniersary. My husband and I were having dinner with my sister and her husband in a local restaurant,Wardsbridge Inn. When we finished dinner,my sister and her husband left to go home. My husband and I walked across the street to our car and I looked up for some unknown reason. It was dark out by this time and I saw a large boomerang type object in the sky. I t had lights all around it that were flashing on and off, they were not bright lights.No sounds could be heard. Everything was very quiet. It seemed to be just floating in mid air,lasting for about 10 minutes then it took off. I didnt see anything after that,like where it went.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

maybe,but doubtful
