Appearance / Description of Object(s)

At first a bright light but when photographed it is huge and multi level. One portion is circular attached to an L shaped part. Also appears to have a "glass" dome on the top portion of the circular part. There is also something hanging down from the circular portion. Brings lights seem rotate from white to yellow to orange/red.

Estimate-can see in photo- 4 inches apart.

Commercial airliners were flying higher than the lower craft.

Description of Area / Surroundings

Suburbs of Chicago. No trees around so very clear sky. Stars are like pin pricks compared to the size of these lights.

Full Description & Details

My family and I came out of an indoor soccer game in libertyville, il. The sky was very clear and there were two bright lights, low "hanging" directly in front of us. We all stopped and said what's that? Then we were able to see the lights all the was home to lake forest. We have watched these two lights every day since. I have photographed these things with my phone and the pics are amazing. The two objects are exactly the same shape and size. In other photos they appear to be moving in a spiral pattern

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

I have sky view app on my phone. Says its in the Taurus constellation. But my pics aren't of stars...
