Full Description & Details

I was visiting my sister and her family which is why I was up so late to begin with and am able to remember the month this happened in. I went outside with my brother-in-law because he wanted to smoke a cigarette. The night was very dark with low thick clouds. Occasionally there was a break in the clouds and you could see the stars very clearly. The city my sister lives in is smaller and so you can really see the stars at night because there are not a lot of lights. In between the cloud breaks, I noticed lights. Red, white, orange and green. It startled us at first because they were so low. At first I thought it was a plane but then we noticed and even commented that, how could it be a plane because there was NO noise at all and then we could tell it was LOW maybe 100 feet above us. No wind, nothing. As it passed over I could tell it was triangular in shape and the lights filled up a lot of the bottom of the (ship?) that was my thought then because it was unlike anything I have ever seen. I have never seen anything so large in the sky. Easily the size of a football field. We were just looking at each other and then back up at it. I wish I could describe more, but it was so low I could only tell the shape and the colors of the lights. I couldn't see the top or sides. The lights were partly symmetrical and then some of the other lights appeared to go all the way across without a break. If that makes sense. Eventually the clouds blocked our view. I don't know if it flew away or continued moving. It was just so strange that it was moving and the clouds were moving but everytime the clouds would break you could still see it. Both my brother-in-law and I talked about it after it was out of sight and thought it was odd that neither of us felt scared at all because when I think back I don't know why we shouldn't have.
