Full Description & Details

During a fireworks display on July 4th 2001. A bright red light / dot, was seen for over an hour stationary in the sky. It did not seem to move and seemed to be at a very high altitude. There was no other light visable nor was any shape. During a conversation with a friend which lasted several minutes the object was no longer visible. It was a very clear night with no clouds at all.
