Woke up in the dark about 3 to 4 o'clock in the morning, suddenly an extremely bright ball of light about 7 inches accross flies into view outside my room, bobbing up and down and moving very smoothly. after dissapearing for a second it floated through my bedroom window, which was closed, as well as some very thin cotton curtains which i could see through.

For the duration of the sighting i felt very calm and was not afraid at all, just amazed. The object gave the impression of freindly intelligence. I was also amazed that it could move through solid objects and also not burn the curtains. It looked hot but gave off no heat. The object stopped and hovered completely still, not moving the slightest bit, above the end of my bed. I knew it was watching me but i thought it could have been a long dead freindly relative or something, I had no clue what it was. I sat upright and stared directly into the light for an unknown amount of time.

Although this object was very bright it hardly lit the room at all, which made it seem even brighter i guess. The memory of this sighting did not surface in my mind much at all until i read an almost identical account in the book Night Seige: The Hudson Valley Sightings, which a freind gave to me last year. It is towards the end of the book in the section concerning related paranormal events which took place at the same time as the UFO craft sightings. The story in the book is identical to mine except the light i saw was white and not red.

This coincidence convinced me i had seen something real. I would love to hear from people who may have seen the same kind of thing.

Although my brother and mother do not really beleive in what i saw, they do remember me telling them the next day as a little kid. This means i did see it, and someone in America saw the same thing. So it has to be real.

As people I know well beleive they have seen ghosts, and I have seen a floating light, i have a theory that these things move in the same way, in the same location as this planet but just in another dimension, with the ability to make themselves seen or even fully come into our reality.
