Inflation-Theory Implications for Extraterrestrial Visitation

"This appears to be the first article on the UFO topic published in a mainstream scientific journal since 1980." (Bernard Haisch) In this paper, published in the Journal of the British Interplanetary Society (JBIS), the authors "reexamine and reevaluate the present assumption that extraterrestrials or their probes are not in the vicinity of Earth, and argue instead that some evidence of their presence might be found in certain high-quality UFO reports." Authors of the article are J. Deardorff, B. Haisch, B. Maccabee and H.E. Puthoff.

Fermi's Paradox - UFOEvidence.org In-Depth Topic Guide
UFOEvidence.org - 1/18/2005
The galaxy contains roughly a hundred billion stars. If even a very small fraction of these have planets which develop technological civilizations, there must be a very large number of such civilizations. If any of these civilizations produce cultures which colonize over interstellar distances, even at a small fraction of the speed of light, the galaxy should have been completely colonized in no more than a few million years [1]. Since the galaxy is billions of years old, Earth should have been visited and colonized long ago. The absence of any evidence for such visits is the Fermi paradox. In-depth guide to research and resources on this topuic.

Founded in 1933, The British Interplanetary Society (BIS) is the world's longest established organisation devoted solely to supporting and promoting the exploration of space and astronautics. First published in 1934, the organization's scientific journal, JBIS, was the first to describe many aspects of space travel which are now commonplace. After 65 years of publication, JBIS is still concerned with originating and encouraging forward-looking ideas on how space exploration should develop.

ET Visitors: Scientists See High Likelihood
Leonard David, Space.com, January 14, 2005 - 1/18/2005
A team of American scientists note that recent astrophysical discoveries suggest that we should find ourselves in the midst of one or more extraterrestrial civilizations. Moreover, they argue it is a mistake to reject all UFO reports since some evidence for the theoretically-predicted extraterrestrial visitors might just be found there.
