YES! If you are referring to an unidentified flying object. But, if you are assuming that becasue it is unidentified that it must be from another planet then that is a whole different ball game.

Yes. I base this on an experience my husband had in the late 60's.
I worked an early evening job; he was home with our 3 kids. Kids were asleep: He was watching TV.
Our white windows shades lit up to a firey red. He heard a steady humming noise getting ever closer. He was terrified and shrunk in the recliner.
When the noise and the red color receded, he went outside. He saw an object flying away at great speed.
We lived in the country then. We had a large barn. The entire barn, during this episode was reddened.
Since then, our marriage ended, but I sometimes think of that night. He was so scared.

I want to believe. I always scan the skies, but have yet to see anything truly unidentified.

Having had a look at a silver disc in 1966, I believe that UFOs are real. Whether they are extraterrestrial visitors, interdimensional visitors, time travelers, or something else, I don't know. But I believe there is strong evidence to support the theory that UFOs generate a nocturnally briliant plasma about them, and that the plasma may be a product of their propulsion system. I was very impressed of this after reading James M. McCampbell's excellent "UFOLOGY". The idea also fit with what I learned in High Tech R&D, having worked with various plasmas used in the processing of microelectronic devices on silicon wafers. Also, I am a "repeater," having had a number of other puzzling sightings over about 40 years, though nothing as spectacular as the silver disc that my sister and I saw in the mid-sixties. Yes, I believe UFOs are real.

With experienced interest, I read Gregory Anderson's "SETI Politics" 9/13/05. I enjoyed his review and was heartened by his respectfulness. This was followed by a response by Dr. Seth Shostak (Senior Astronomer for The SETI Institute). Her comments were communicated more like a rebuttle, yet she put her own foot in her mouth and confirmed Mr. Anderson's view point . . . LOL.
Dr. Shostak (whom I have respected to date) concluded her remarks with "Their (SETI's) skepticism is rooted in the lack of good evidence" . . . and this hilariously posted on the "UFO EVIDENCE" web site. Unbelieveable!
