It is the objective here to summarize the details of that event, affirm the right of all people throughout the world to know the truth about what occurred, and propose a course of action that will allow that truth to emerge.

CUFOS' Position on the Gulf Breeze Case
Skiesare UFO Page
CUFOS considers Gulf Breeze a potentially significant UFO case, but one that remains unproven, and it is essential that research into every aspect of both photographs and testimony, continue. Important questions are yet unanswered, and necessary avenues of inquiry yet unpursued.

Ed Walters, The Model, and Tommy Smith
Art Hufford, MUFON Journal - Jan. 93, #297
On June 10, 1990, the Pensacola News Journal ran a story announcing that a UFO model had been found in the attic of Ed Walters' former residence. One week later, the newspaper announced that a Gulf Breeze teenager, later identified as Tommy Smith, had helped Walters hoax the UFO photos. On June 19, Charles Flannigan, MUFON State Director for Florida, announced MUFON was reopening the Walters' case to investigate these new allegations.

Gulf Breeze Pictures
Skiesare UFO Page
These are some of pictures taken by Ed Walters of UFOs over Gulf Breeze, and published in his book "The Gulf Breeze Sightings" (ISBN 0-380-70870-1). Pictures with a red border can be clicked upon to open a larger version of that picture. Some of the pictures are marked by wide vertical bands and white spots, these are caused by the old Polaroid camera that Ed used. All the pictures here have been "light blasted" to bring out the details that could not be seen in the original dark polaroids.

Role of a Power Structure Analysis in Ufology
Dr. Jospeh Burkes
It is my assessment that ufology has failed to recognize the importance of how the Extraterrestrial presence profoundly threatens all terrestrial elites. This includes the international corporate, military, political and religious leaders of our planet. Without recognizing and thoroughly analyzing this challenge to terrestrial power, those interested in understanding the phenomenon of Extraterrestrial spacecraft visiting our planet, will be hopelessly confused.

Denial, Belief and Semantics, and UFOs
Hal McKenzie
'Do you believe in UFOs?' This annoying question, asked of me more times than I would like to count, is, in my opinion, the most
oppressive sentence in the English language. In particular, the words 'believe' and 'UFOs' form a semantic straitjacket which makes up a large part of that frustrating wall of confusion and denial that confronts almost everyone involved in serious UFO research. I believe there is a way, however, to break out of that straitjacket and bring down that wall.

Are Flying Saucers Real?
J. Allen Hynek, Saturday Evening Post, 12/17/66
For years the Air Force has dismissed them as hoaxes,
hallucinations or misidentifications. Now the Air Force's own
scientific consultant on unidentified flying objects declares
that many of the sightings cannot be so easily explained.

UFOs: Challenge to SETI Specialists
Stanton T. Friedman
Major news media and many members of the scientific community have taken strongly to the radio-telescope based SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) program as espoused by its charismatic leaders, but not supported by any evidence whatsoever. In turn, perhaps understandably, they feel it necessary to attack the ideas of alien visitors (UFOs) as though they were based on tabloid nonsense instead of on far more evidence than has been provided for SETI.

Studying Intrusions from the Subtle Realm: How Can We Deepen Our Knowledge?
John E. Mack, M.D.
I want to talk with you about what I have been finding over the past now nearly six years in studying the alien abduction phenomenon. In the context of this meeting I wish to talk particularly about the ways that we know, how we actually know anything. What is the appropriate epistemology for a particular subject?

Intruders Foundation - Budd Hopkins' UFO Abduction Research Organization
Over a decade ago Budd Hopkins founded the Intruders Foundation as a nonprofit organization with four basic goals: To provide sympathetic help, understanding and personal investigation for those reporting UFO abduction experiences. To carry out systematic research into the abduction phenomenon through a careful study of its patterns and resulting physical and psychological evidence. To mount an extensive program of public education about the phenomenon.
To develop a cadre of trained professionals in various fields to carry out all of these projects.
