A bright sphere that lit up the area as it passed overhead. It was maybe 30 to 40 ft. long, the speed seemed to distort the width.

A few days later a local reporter stopped by a Mcdonalds I managaged to get a cup of coffee and I asked where she[ Carolyn LONG LOCAL NBC] was going. She she was headed up to Mena to do a story about local sighting of ufo's. They had been going on for some time. I told her of my exiperence but declined to be interviewed.

This object flew from horizon to horizon in a straight line,I estimate that it flew over me at less than 2000 feet overhead. At the speed it was traveling which I guess at 1500 to 2000mph the size was hard to judge but it was a sphere very bright and silent.

It was round, kind of flat and appeared to be silver in colour. It wasn't a plane because it didn't have any wings of a tail or anything.

I'd say it was probably two inches across. For us to be able to see the light reflecting off it, I would say it was fairly large, maybe 150 ft wide by 30 ft tall.

It was flying over the city. As mentioned previously this is a route we travel frequently (everyday) and we have never seen anything like this before.

My wife and I have never seen anything like this before. It was really something odd. We were traveling home in our car and we were just about to drive down Pine Street hill (a route we travel everyday) when we both noticed this silver object in the sky. As the sun was going down, the sunlight was reflecting off this object. It appeared to be thin and round. It hovered momentarily and then took off at a high rate of speed. Seconds later, it stopped returned toward us and then stopped again. It briefly hovered again and then took off again in the opposite direction (at a high rate of speed) and then it was gone. It was really strange. It wasn't at a really high altitude nor was it at a really low altitude. It also made made no noise nor did it leave any trail of smoke as jet normally do. It was very odd.

I don't think it was man-made unless the military is testing something no one knows about. It moved too quickly, stopped in a heart beat and was able to hover without making any noise.

It is a small town . No mountains, sea or anything special. There are no military bases or anything special, but it is an industrial town.

It was around midnight, I was with my best friend, we were bored so we were looking at the sky. Suddenly, we tought we saw a shooting star, but the star stopped, turned 180 degrees , exelerated and then flew right. We were shocked. It appeared again, flying faster then before, right - left, right -left, and then another one flew right by that one.

This "game" kept on going for hours. They were flying at least 6 times faster than airplanes.

It can't be any of this, becouse only helicopters can levitate, but they do not go that fast or in those directions.

My father's brother saw a huge craft in the shape of cone levitating above the local river Tisa. It had many orange lights.

This happened 15 years ago and he reported it to authorities. It hit the local paper because there were hundereds of reports from local people.

not in motion, just hovering- three white lights in a triangle shape in motion- thousands of colored lights in a triangle shape the object itself was a triangular dull metal object

My friend and I were 17 at the time, driving up Piper Rd to route 356, we came to a clearing near a farm. I saw three lights in the sky that hadn't been there before. I asked my friend to stop the car, we looked at them for a while, I asked, "Did they put up some type of new tower?" We both looked at each other and knew the answer was no. It hovered in this spot for some time, as we got out of the car, those three lights turned into thousands of colored lights and began to move toward us. This object was the size of a baseball field, as it stopped above us, the lights turned off and the three white lights came back on. It hovered over us for a few minutes, I hopped back into the car out of fear. After those few minutes though, the lights changed to the thousands of colored lights again and shot straight up, eventually disappearing into the night sky. This object was completely silent the entire time. I, to this day, have a hard time believing most people that claim to have seen these types of things. I do, however, believe in other life forms out there. About a year ago, I saw this old friend of mine and asked him if he remembered that day, and he remembers everything, exactly as I do. And this was the first time we had talked about it since it happened.

My views have not changed much at all, even though I saw this object, I still think that most of the people making such claims as I am are doing so because they want attention or they are just crazy. I suppose that I am more able to believe the more saine claimes though.

Sarah, megan jacson and I were sitting at teh park when I spotted a object in the sky, and I taught it was a lamp poast, but then 10 minutes later i looked back and it was getting closer and closer and closer to us, then i told my friends hey check it out, what is it?...no one knew so we ran after the object and wed would lose sight of it at times because it was verry low to the trees.

floated threw the air as we sat in a dark feild..ir made absolutly no noise and no blinkin lights at all jus solid light iit lasted maybe 1 minute tops and disappeared behind the trees was flying....it was flying way to low to be an air plane or helicopter plus its jus move gracefully and with out a sound

Two hands would have to cover it from a ground-to-air view. It was about a football field in diameter. It would fit over the old Redskin stadium like a pot top, but it couldn't have fit onto the field.

This vessel looked like shiny aluminum foil, but was so shiny it almost looked liquid. The treetops were reflected in it. It hovered very close to me as I drove down Rhode Island Ave, NE. The traffic was bumper to bumper on a clear, sunny, Saturday at about noon.

I saw it when it approached from high up in the sky. I recall wondering why I could see a star in the blue daylit sky, and then the "star" got bigger, closer, and closer. It traveled along the traffic route of cars. This was a two lane section of road. The passengers in the car next to me (bumper-to-bumper) saw it too. I kept trying to creep driving along and look up at the same time. Other vehicles saw it too. I noticed the passenger in the car next to me was pushing on the driver's shoulder and pointing up. We all began to move forward a little and look up at this dome shaped, shiny, silver, HUGE thing that was following along with the traffic. I recall that I began to "get the creeps" like it was looking at ME! I began to pray, drive and then I was almost afraid to look right at it, it was so very close, just over the tree's. This area of the road was tree lined and I kept getting glimpses of it as my car passed along under the canapy of the trees. I recall also thinking: "Go away" and immediately, the thing began to slowly lift higher and fall back in speed. It stayed very still for a moment and then began to lift higher and move off steeply up and to my left. I watched so long that I almost slammed into the back of the car in front of me. When I looked for it again, it was way away, like miles and miles away and becoming a tiny silver dot again.

I began to honk my horn to the driver in the right lane next to me whose passenger had also seen this thing and was gesturing wildly in their car. We both pulled off into a convenience store. The man, the driver, went into the store. It was so hot that day and sunny. The woman stayed out front with me and we both talked about what we'd just seen. She said her husband was upset and wanted a soda. We both exchanged how and when we both noticed the craft and how it had to have been a UFO. Just then her husband came out of the store, visibly shaken; like un-nerved and said he didn't know what the "bleep" that was and he just wanted to get the 'bleep' home as fast as possible and not talk about it. The following Monday morning on the Bernie McCain show of radio WOL, he did a segment on how many people had called the station reporting seeing the UFO as far away as Maryland and all over the Washington, DC neighborhoods. He himself had been out of town, but was called at his home in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon by various friends, all reporting the same incident. He said when he arrived to the station on Monday morning, the phone messages about the 'sighting' was piled up on his desk, and the secretary said the message line had gone down from so many calls. I told friends about it who were in vehicles ahead of mine (we were on our way to my family reunion that day) and they had thier music on and due to other passengers having conversations in the car; had not seen anything unusual. However, I was driving alone and separated from them by two cars (behind them) and the above is all that I saw. I've told my husband and a few other people but no one believes me. I just finished watching the August 19, 2006 telecast of a National Geographic showing about UFO's and decided to "google" the date of July 11, 1993 and your website came up. I am a wife, mother, and grandmother; a good citizen and semi-retired Middle School English teacher. I am a Christian woman who is 50 years young, a non-drinker and non-drug user. I don't need glasses and have never been known to engage in "stunts" of any kind to seek attention. I don't know what it was, I have never seen metal like that before or since and I'm just glad to get this off my chest.

saw a total of 8 objects looking like aa figure "S" inside a circle rotating very slowly with lights all the 8 were moving slow and then fast it happened at about 8.29pm all 3 of us saw them for about 1 min. please confirm
