one night while i was outside i saw this big flickering light came out and it was just siting there then it started moving up and down then it flew away it a red and blue light

I was walking to the toilet from class and as I dwadled I looked into the Sky and jumped as I saw very bright and large rod shaped object in the sky! Shocked and scared I ran back to class and said nothing about my srange experience to anyone! The Rod was large and was a very bright red it looked about the length of a thirty centermetre ruler and had a range of bright red marble sized objects circling it!

A small town in the country, we live next to a town called Picton that has alot of UFO activity.

Last night i was sitting in my living room watching T.V. with my Dad asleep on the lounge, & my Mum had just gone out the front to have a smoke, i was watching Futurama then the light in the living room started flickering, i didn't think anything of it, then about 5 seconds later my Mum come bursting through the door & she said: "You would have pissed your pants if your saw what i just saw". & i ran out the front & she told me this: "I was sitting on the steps & i was looking at the sky when i saw this bright star looking thing go across the sky & it had a rumbling sound, i was gonna tap on the window to tell you but i didn't. Then all of a sudden the star disappeared then 3 seconds later the whole sky lit up blue for like 3 seconds & i mean it was bright, it was like the sun was up. But i didn't hear a boom or anything. I thought it was a nuke or something after the bright blue flash all the street lights went out". & that's my story. I didn't witness it but the light in the house did flicker & the street light went out for about 2 minutes. I believe her cause she wouldn't lie especially about something like this. I have seen alot of strange things happen, but this is the strangest, i have personally seen bright starts go across the sky with no sound at all, i know they aint satellites cause these things are really bright, well not that bright but brighter than a satellite.

Possible, but i can't think of anything that would light up the sky like that, & it's a strange coincidence that this flash happend just after a UFO sighting.

Like I said, the large disk could have passed for a cloud in the sunset and for a moon at night. In the sunset, it appeared gray and it was flashing quite a lot. If it was moving it was doing it at a bit of a slow rate. At night it had the same speed but it had a glowing yellowish color and I wasn't able to tell if it was flashing but I knew it was too close for it to be the moon. As far as the other object goes it looked like it was on its side and it had the flashing lights that didn't recognize like a plane like i said above.

The main object looked quite large, it almost resembled a moon as if to say. The other object looked like a skinny kind of disk and that it was tilted on its side.

Description of Area / Surroundings

The area is more like a suburb type of area. The subdivision is quite populated. Usually around this time there are some people out. I counted around 6 total last night while I was out. Platt Rd. is somewhat populated by traffic but not quite as much as Michigan Ave. Around where I saw this there are no powerplants or military bases or anything like that. The only thing close to where this was is a party store that's a bit down the way and across from the Michigan Ave. subdivision is a bank that is no longer used and a Burger King. The area is relatively quiet.

I usually go rollerblading at night around 8:30 or sometimes I go at 9 o'clock. I get home from eating out at dinner and filling up my grandmother's gas tank around 8:57. I decide to get some exercise and decide to go rollerblading. To me it seemed like a pretty typical night. Now my neighborhood is basically 2 pretty large circles and there's a neighborhood that connects to the other half of the neighborhood from where I live. But I started out rollerblading and when I am going around a curve in my subdivision that goes towards the entrance to Michigan Avenue, I noticed a type of disk that was tilted towards me and it was like a greyish silverish, possibly an off-white color. It took up a small portion of the sky, in my mind it sort of resembled moon-size, but this thing also had flashing lights on it and it seemed to be moving a bit of a slow rate from when I saw it. If no one saw it, they must have been completely blind or something. But I came to the entrance to Michigan Ave. and this thing was gone. It was like it had vanished out of thin air. So I put it on the back of my mind and thought of it as nothing. I was still rollerblading and started going onto the second half of my subdivision which I do on a regular basis each night. And when I was going in the circle I noticed something flying above me and I knew it wasn't a local private plane or a commercial plane because along with the white lights on the planes they have the red ones as well. This didn't have any red lights on it. It had 3 white lights on it and this thing seemed to be on its side. But, like I said, it had it had 3 white lights, and the first and third one would blink and then shut off and then the second one would blink and then they all would simulatneously. I got towards the entrance of the Platt Rd. entrance and I noticed the same thing I saw before on the Michigan Ave. entrance. I found it to be a bit eerie. I usually listen to music at the loudest volume so I took my headphones off and when I did, I heard an eerie kind of whirring noise and noticed the disk had moved over to a neighborhood of condominiums. Instead of staying place which I should have done I noticed, I decided to try and move towards it. But, like last time when I got there it had already disappeared. I went home after that and thought about it a lot. I tried to think it was the moon but the moon couldn't have moved from the south of the sky to the east in a matter of less than 30 minutes, let alone this was actually around 10 minutes or less. I tried saying it was something else, like possibly an aircraft but I know what planes of any type sound like, I tried saying it was a helicopter but there was no motor that even resembled a helicopter. I know that I wasn't dreaming because I fell over my rollerblades twice and ended scraping my hand up and getting a bruise on my hip. I don't do anything that has any mind altering affects. I didn't have too much caffeine in my system or anything like that. I asked a friend of mine about these sort of things and she told me she might have saw something last night.

Nothing that I can think of. Too big to be a blimp. Too low to be a satellite. Definitely not birds or clouds. It looked like a cloud at first but it wasn't. Definitely not a star. Not a natural object. Like i said, definitely not an airplane or any other technology that's human that flies

One was triangular, It had 6 lights around it, and blueish yellow lights. The second was disk shaped same color lights not sure how many lights around it.

Its really hard to tell how big they were but just guessing the triangle one could have been about 30-40ft from point to point. the disk shaped one was slightly bigger 40-50ft across.

Urban area, I just moved down here a few months ago and im not sure much about the surroundings. Theres an airport about 20 miles or so from where I live. Its hard to see the stars but airplanes are clearly visible and audible. What I saw made no sound.

I was star gazing, or at least trying to... Its about 12am and just sitting outside enjoying a cigarette. At first a couple passenger jets flew over 2 to be exact. Then trying to pick out the stars from the darker areas of the sky I thought I saw one, but then it moved. I looked away to wipe my eyes and looked up again and it was gone. So I started looking again, Its mostly clear skies and a couple clouds floating by here and there. I kept searching for stars when I thought I saw one finally again, and again it moved I didnt look away this time and watched it move forward and stop drop down some disappear and appear further away from behind the clouds. Now I love planes and jets and ive never seen anything like this before...ever...I kept watching and I saw more lights appear. Moving through the sky like they were water spiders or something. There must have been at least 2-6 differant lights that I saw moving, I was trying as best as I could to keep up with them through the clouds but they were moving so fast. One of them I was watching finally slowed down and I saw 6 lights on it in the shape of a triangle, it turned again and flew through the clouds. I looked for one of the others that I saw and caught another one it flew to my right stopped I saw a small flash of light and it flew backwards again and disappeared behind another cloud. from 12-1230am I watched the lights do all of this repeatedly, the flash of light only appeared once though. I went back inside my place for a minute to grab my cigarettes and started watching the sky again. Again, I saw 2 lights flying around and focused my attention to one of them. It flew forward and backward and zig zagged and this one stopped like the other and turned and it was disk shapped I only saw it for a second or two and I couldnt count the lights around it. I decided that I've had enough for now. I'm going to go out again and see if I still see them.

no, nothing I've ever seen before, and I know nothing that can move like the objects I saw.

I'm skeptical. I dont believe in aliens or anything like that, I just want to know what the hell I saw. I'm interested in the military aspect of them. I watch the occasional history channel show about UFO's but have only seen 1 show which makes perfect since to me. see below.

Other Comments

I saw a show on the history channel with a british aviation expert who believes that UFO's dated back to the 1940's could be linked to german military projects and were adopted by americans and russians.
