Hello. My name is Andrew Maxwell and I am making this report to MUFON on behalf of my mother, Carla Linton, 44, who described the details of her UFO encounter to me in person and over the phone. The encounter occurred at some date in late May 2006 (possibly the 31st), at approximately 10:30 p.m. Atlantic Canadian Time, as descibed in the above form.

My mother lives in St. Andrews, NB, about an hour and a half from where the ecounter occured. My brother Rory Linton, 14 years of age at the time of the encounter, is a hockey player on the AAA team the Saint John Seadogs (Saint John is about an hour away from St. Andrews). The Seadogs play games and in tournaments all over the Eastern Seaboard of Canada, and occasionally as far south as Boston. To say that my mother and brother travel a lot is an understatement. On the night of their encounter, their travels had taken them to my home city of Fredericton. They were leaving the city at the time of the encounter and first saw the UFO while driving back to St. Andrews on the Hanwell Road just outside Fredericton. The Hanwell has little lighting and the skys are very clear at night, especially on nights where the moon is in the early stages of its cycle.

My mother noted the object and my brother saw it as well. According to her description, the object first appeared "like a star," "a defined circle" and "glowing"; it quickly became apparent, however, that it was not a normal heavenly body. My mother still insists upon a distinctly circular shape, even when I asked her if she meant instead that it was eliptical. It was glowing very brightly; when she told me this, she put emphasis on the words. It was quite clear that the glow was an abnormal sort of glow. It "moved eratically," in a manor dissimilar to that of an aircraft of normal origin. When asked how long the UFO was witnessed, she says for a very long time, at least 20 minutes, during which it could be viewed at all times. "We saw [the UFO] for 20 minutes or more--a long time!--and it stayed with us, in front of us," she says. There are few cars on the Hanwell at night so it's quite possible that my mother was alone on the road for miles. Eventually their trip just took them away from the UFO's location and it wasn't seen again once out of sight.

Both my mother and I are aware that NB has very busy skys, perhaps amongst the busiest in North America, but it was clearly not a commercial plane of any sort. It was raised by my girlfriend that sattelites can move erratically in the fashion that is associated with UFOs, but this was distinctly too close to the earth to be such an object. It is also of interest that Fredericton is near the CFB Gagetown military base, a notable Canadian military base. However, my mother's account can still be taken quite at face value--she was an army brat, the daughter of an artillery commander, and growing up on numerous bases around North America. Not only is she familar with standard military aircraft, but she has actually seen firsthand a secret military aircraft that she thought was a UFO but then learned of its true identity when it was revealed to her by her father after the project associated with it was declassified. She knows that what she saw was not of any known earthly origin.

No. It is true that NB has busy airfields but this was not a conventional manmade plane. It was too close too the earth to be a satelite. It is also true that Fredericton is near a military base, but my mother, the primary witness, grew up as an army brat on several bases and has a passing familiarity with military craft, having even witnessed a saucer-like craft's landing that she, 25 years later, learned to be a classified military fighter.

I was playing around with my new phone which has a camera and was just snapping photos from my office window. This was taken at about 11.00am on Thursday the 27th of July 2006. When I downloaded them tonight I noticed this strange elongated shape in this photo . Whatever it is it wasn't noticeable when looking out of the window and although it looks like it's about to crash into the building , it obviously didn't. I'm not really sure what it is but I thought you guys might be interested. My office is in Adelaide, South Australia and although it was cold when I took the photo it was otherwise a reasonably sunny day with only a few clouds around.

My wife and I were renting a house in Holt, Michigan during the summer of 1961. We had been out and returned home about 10:00 p.m. When we got out of the car , I noticed that there was a full moon and some of the features were especially vivid and distinct. When we went into the house, I decided to get my binoculars to get a better look at the moon. My wife stayed inside. I remember leaning over the hood of our car and resting my elbow to support the binoculars. There was no traffic on our street and the night was quiet. Suddenly, I heard a rhythmic, swishing noise coming from my left. MY first thought was that the noise was at street level, but quickly rejected that because of no traffic. At that point, I knew the noise was coming from above and traveling east to west. I could not see anything and could only hear this swishing sound. When the sound reached my line of sight with the moon, I was amazed to see a huge, oval shaped object traveling in a westerly direction. There were no lights; only the swishing noise and a flat-looking,gray oval shaped object. I quickly tried to see the object with my binoculars but do not remember seeing much. Since there were very few clouds, I thought that it was unusual that I could not see this object until it was back-lighted by the brightness of the full moon. When the object passed from under the moon, I could no longer see it but could still hear the swishing sound. I was somewhat familiar with the aircraft of that generation because I had been in the Air Force r.o.t.c. program at Michigan State and had opportunities to see different kinds of airplanes.I know that it was not an airplane, a balloon or a dirigible.

Definitely not! This was not an airplane, not a blimp( no engine noise) There were no lights. I could not see it until it was back-lit by the full moon. I could follow its travel by the distinct swishing noise.

I had no previous convictions about ufos before that experience in 1961. Since then, I have read about the subject extensively and believe that they do exist.

Although the actual sighting was 5-10 seconds, the swishing sound was longer; possibly 30 to 60 seconds.

I was standing outside of a friend's house waiting for my ride at approximately 9:30 PM. It was a clear, crisp Autumn night. I noticed what looked like "car's headlights" flying towards me very high in the sky and quite a distance away. I just thought it looked strange because there was no other blinking lights on the object like other airplanes. I continued to watch the object in the night sky and it continued to fly towards me. As it got closer, I opened my friend's front door and yelled in to her, her sister, and her sister's two friends to come out and look. I remembered feeling really anxious and panicked. The UFO descended so low it was only as high as the tree tops and telephone poles. There was no noise at all. I don't remember any lights underneath the craft, just darkness. It was very large, like the size of a football field. It took close to 20 minutes to fly over the house, it was moving so slow. I ran into the house with my friend's once it got about half way over the house. We ran to the back of the house and looked out the large picture window to watch it finish flying over the house. Just after it finished clearing the house, it suddenly shot upwards at a vey high rate of speed and dissappeared into the night sky. During the experience, I felt as if the craft saw me, just as I saw it, as it flew towards me. I felt as if someone was watching me. I felt frightened, which is why I ran into the house. I ran into my neighboor the next day and was telling my friend about my experience. His dad interrupted my story and said, "Oh my God, I saw that same thing last night fly across the road over us as we were driving to get ice cream!" He stated it flew over at a high rate of speed. No one in the car besides him saw it.

Triangle shape. Solid black except for the 4 lights. 3 white lights, 1 in each corner. In the center was a round dome shaped that bubbled down a little that had a blinking red light in the center of it. Droning humming sound. I made a quick drawing in Paint, please excuse the simplicity.

If I held my arms stretched out, when it was right above me, my hands would've been about 12-18" apart. It looked to be a big object, cargo plane size.

It was in the parking lot of my apartment complex in a fairly populated town. I don't know of any bases or anything around it could be from.

One night when I was 11, I was playing with some friends in the apartment complex we all lived in when I was in Northern California. We were walking somewhere and I went through the parking lot by myself. At the end of the long parking lot and across the street, a little above the roof of a small shopping complex, I saw two white lights appear. As they moved slowly toward me, the rest of it finally made it over the building and I could see that it was a triangle. Two white lights in the front, and one in the back, one in each corner. In the center was a kind of dome that bubbled out and had a blinking red light in the center. The body was solid black. It had a droning hum that was constant. I ran after it until I got to a fence that was between the parking lot and my elementary school at the time, then just watched it until it was gone. It was so low and very slow, I've never seen a plane or anything of that size move like that. No wind or any disturbance from it either. I remember yelling at my friends telling them what I just saw, and I said we should go watch the news to see if anything weird was going on, but nothing about it came up. Exciting stuff, especially for a kid.

I don't think it was a plane because of how low and slow it was going, and there wasn't any wind or anything it produced.

urban enviroment pretty clear sky some clouds but not alot.. stanstead airport is aorund 20-30 miles away and there is plenty of plane activity.. i think hertfodshire has sum military bases.. i rememebr during the iraq war we could here the big planes gettin ready to take off like alow humming all night.

I was in my car with my girlfriend going out at 9:30 pm this evening, as i turne dout of the turning i noticed over the roof of the houses 4 small orange balls in some sort of pairs sequence not moving. They slowly dissapeared as it seemed they was ascending... Shortly after from over the rooftops we saw an Orange light ascending into the air at a 45ª angle heading up towards where we just see the previous 4 lights. Then seconds after another one follwed that one up so there was two flying up in sequence.. Then about 10 seconds later the same again, another two followed almost similar path to meet the previous 2 in the air where they stopped, then slowly ascended directly upwards again like the previous 4 untill the dissapeared.. I managed to look very carefully and just about saw 2 small specs moving together back in the direction they came from but very very high up.. Again thsi charade continued with more orange type of fireball looklibg things doing the same sequence, the seem to be travelly pretty fast and silent too.. All in all i counted around 17... we was watching this for probably around 20 minutes. we then decided to go back home and look out from the loft room where at this point they was ascending untill dissapearing again.. I waited arounf 5 minutes then 1 came up again but on its own this time flew up stopped then ascended up again.. I waited around another 5 minutes but no more...

It was very hard to get a scale on how far we was from he objects if i had to estimate id say within 3 miles... they seemd to ascend to around the height of an aeroplane but again hard to tell...

have phone camera footage which is actually interesting because it possibly shows a white ring in the middle of the orange ball sort of pulsating. But that could always be the pixels messing around because it didnt seem that way to the naked eye, but who knows i suppose. By this time i had a bad headache and needed to eat some food we set out to eat about 30 mins before. I also saw a report at 10 pm that night someone in dartford seeing the same thing.
