Summary:
me and freinds seen a blue ball in the sky identical to the photo at half moon bay in california it looked like it was about 200 meters away across a paddock and about 25 meters high its just hovered there for about half an hour then shot away and dissapeared we all seen it and still back up each others story when we tell it.

Appearance / Description of Object(s)same shape, colour, and brightness as the half moon bay photo, but i didnt notice rings. looked alittle smaller but was further away im guessing about the same size considering the difference in distance. Size of Object(s)about 200 meters away same size as phot, but further away. Summary:
Fast moving bright lights sped across the sky-around 15 seemed to be following a zig-zag pattern. Smaller less bright lighs seemed to lead the larger brighter ones.

Appearance / Description of Object(s)The first object was an "object" the size of a thumb at arms length. My dad didn't say what shape it was as it was moving fast. It was pitch black against the grey sky. The second object was a triangle shape. Size of Object(s)The first object - the size of a thumb at arms length. The second - probably a bit smaller than the nail of your little finger at arms length Distance to Object(s) & Altitudefirst object - low (a few thousand feet?). The second object - high altitude Description of Area / SurroundingsAn urban area - but not heavily built up like a city. My surroundings are lots of bungalows. There was a small amount of light pollution from the street lights and channel tunnel but not enough to block out the stars as it can sometimes do. Full Description & DetailsMy parents were outside relaxing after work. At around 11pm I went out to join them before going to bed and my Dad said he has just seen a pitch black object darker than anything else around that night, about the size of an adult thumb at arms length, move across the sky. He said it moved fast and he only saw it for 5 seconds or maybe a couple more. It moved without making a noise across the greyish background of the sky obscuring and blocking out stars and everything as it went. He described it as "In star trek talk - something under a cloaking device". After a few minutes both of my parents and I saw something else. I'm not sure if it was related so am mentioning it too. This object was a triangle of red lights with another light which flashed reasonably quickly moving from where my dad said the first object went back over us again. I couldnt hear anything - assume it was at high altitude. It wasn't the usual red and white lights with obvious plane shape that we see every day - it looked different. It took a couple of minutes to travel across the portion of the sky that was visible - longer than the other planes that were going over. It may have been a military plane or something related to the other sighting - i'm not sure. Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?The second one could have been a military plane but it made no sound and wasn't an obvious plane shape - plus it was moving slow compared to other planes. The first object I can't explain - I don't know of anything that can be pitch black against a grey sky, move quickly without making a sound and obscure everything including stars as it goes.
