Appearance / Description of Object(s)

The object was round, silverish, and had slowly blinking green/blue lights around the perimeter. The bottom was relatively flat. the top sloped up to a "dome-like cockpit" with windows. The object made a whirring noise similar to a quieter turbine engine.

If I framed the object between my left and right hands, my hands would be about 3 feet apart.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude

I estimate that the object was 150-200 feet in the air directly above me.

Description of Area / Surroundings

It was a flat, isolated stretch of rural Tennessee highway. The area was primary soybean and cotton fields. There were no other cars in either direction.

We were the only car on a long stretch of rural highway between Paris and McKenzie, Tennessee. It was a Sunday night and my roommate and I were returning to college. We were talking and listening to the radio. Suddenly, we saw streaks of light coming from the top of our windshield. There was no noise. From inside the car, we could not see the source of the light.

There were no other cars coming in either direction. We stopped the car on the road and got out. Directly above our car was a round disc-like object with windows. It had a raised dome "cock'pit" in the center of the top half. It was hovering and spinning effortlessly about 200 feet directly above us. It made a quiet whirring noise. The sparks of light had stopped. There were lights flashing on and off around the edges of the object.

We watched for approximately two minutes as the object stayed right above us and our car. Suddently, the object went from standing still to a startling speed in 1 or 2 seconds. It was several miles away and made a 90 degree turn to the east without ANY loss of speed. My roommate and I got back in our car to finish our journey to school. We were speechless for about 10 minutes. That night on the 10 o'clock news, it was reported that there were identical sightings of the same object in six different states.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No. The closeness of the object made it very easy to see. The most startling thing was the extreme speed it reached within 1-2 seconds and the 90 degree turn it made without any loss of velocity.

Since a child, I was always interested in science fiction comic books and movies. I was always very open minded to the possibility of UFO and alien existence. After the sighting, I was even more convinced.

The closeness of the experience erased any and all doubt in mind.......this was definitely a UFO........and NOT a conventional (then or now) aircraft.

It looked like a triangle with a bright light at each point. When the light started flickering the a smaller red dot came up. Then the flickering light went away and the it was just 1 light and I never saw it again.

Almost in a rural area. The surrounding area is swampy. The everglades are near the sighting. I dont know if their is a military base their because as I said in the description... apox. a month before the sighting their were military helicoptors that went in the direction of the sighting.

My family and I were just returning home from dinner and seeing a movie. It was about 12 midnight. As we were parking our car in the garage, I said, "Hey look up there, I think I just saw a UFO!" It was a simple series of three lights that formed a perfect triangle.

(Now my dad had also saw a UFO while driving on the road in Tennessee with his friend while returning to colledge and he said that it looked like a flying saucer like in the movies. He also has a report. So check that out.)

Then all of a sudden, 1 light went out and the second started flickering and my sister told me that that it was probably an airplane, but I didn't think so because the flying object was completly quiet. I looked at it more and it had a red, small dot underneath the flickering light and the normal light. Then the flickering light went out too, and that was the last I ever saw of it.

And after thinking about it, about a month earlier, I saw military planes fliyng down into the everglades so... I don't now whats going on right now.

I think it is possible that it could have been an airplane but I never seen an airplane that only have three lights then switching to 1 light and 1 flickering and then to 1 and then never seeing it again.

My view on them was something you can't explain. I watched documentaries on witnesses and my father has seen them. I knew about flying discs and triangular shape ones like I saw, but I thought the triagular one was a fake. After the sighting, it changed my whole view on the triangular shaped UFO crafts.

I am a film maker from Philippines and I had a shoot for my short film on that day. I decided to get a long shot of the basketball ring so i placed the camera below showing one edge of the ring and the rest is the clouds surrounding the sky. As i finished my video and started editing, I noticed the object on that scene and started to wonder what it was. The object was too fast to be noticed on the shooting day. It only got clearer when i was editing the video.

I am sure that it was not a bird or an airplane because i can identify one. I would also like to inform you that this was not my first time to see this kind of sighting. I have also experinced a u.f.o when i was on my way to Nevada,Las Vegas with my mom and auntie. This was around 1999 and i was only 14 years old that time.

I would just like to share to you the video that i was able to take.

Beach island. Our house sits on sound side of the island with our deck directly overlooking the waterway. Salt marsh is to the west and then the mainland. Ocean directly behind us. There are military bases in North Carolina.

4 of us were sitting on the deck overlooking the sound when I noticed the red object directly above us in the sky. We watched it for several minutes trying to figure out what it was. I kept saying, It's a kite. But everyone else said it was too high to be a kite, plus it had red glowing circular lights on the bottom. It seemed to sway side to side like a kite flying in the wind, but only slightly. We got binoculars, but couldn't see the object through them. Eventually, the object moved off to the north and disappeared almost instantly.

Just after this happened we saw a green glowing sphere, about tennis ball size but more oval in shape. It dropped down from the height of our house and I said, It must be fallout from some fireworks. Except that when it hit the water, it bounced up into the air again about 20 feet and continued to bounce like this all the way across the bay. We could see the object bouncing through the marsh several miles away and eventually saw it rise up and pass over the tree on the horizon. The object made no sound, glowed bright green, moved continuously and was totally unexplainable.

Red object - considered a weather balloon but can't find any reference to red triangular glowing balloons Green object - absolutely NO idea what this was!

Me & my mom were in the highway on route 1...we already passed the sign that says welcome to pennsylvania...we were driving like around 9:30pm....diz route is dark at night & the only light you can see are the car lights & the reflecting things on the ground...my mom was the one to see it..we were driving on the right side & the trees were to our right...at first i saw a small bright thing in the trees but it dissapeard...i look behind me on the back window...i was sitting in the back seat in the middle...all i saw was darkness & like 2 cars really far...but nothing...thats when my mom screamed..she said "omg what was that? " i turned around & i said "what!?" she said "did you see that thing it flew mad fast." im like what is she talking about...i tourned around quickly & saw nothing except for the small bridge we had just passed..all i saw were cars passing by....at both ends of the bridge were trees...i didn't see anything....i told her maybe it was the car lights....she said "no it was too bright" she told me that right before we had passed that bridge a flying object came out from the trees to the other side & dissappeard....she thought it was a plane & i told her ma it was probably a ufo..planes don't fly that low...she said it was so low to her car..but it was so fast...she said it was long like a cylinder...it was pointy in the front & flat on the back...it was a very bright yellow towards the front..but it had so many colors on bottoms...all colors...red, blue, yellow, green, purple all of the main colors....she said it was like a rocket like a bullet...it was so fast she didn't get a chance to se if it had any windows just colors...the sighting didn't even last a minute because were in the highway & shes driving fast there was really no time to stop...plus it was gone...it was the fastest thing.

Definetly not...it was so close to our car...i mean come on....plus i've seen one like a months ago on a highway passing atlantic city...it was sunny & i saw a metal bright small thing just zoom out of the trees straight to the other trees right above the cars driving & me & my mom both saw it....shes also seen another one in new york in the year 2000 in daylight & there were witneses outside because she was on a bus stop...she saw it a little more clear..but she said it was moving in a round way & it was bright like putting alumminum onto the sun & you get a reflecter.

I was lying in bed one night, just thinking and reflecting, with the lights out as I normally do. Sometimes I look outside my window at the night sky and the stars. It was then when I noticed a small bright, almsot blinding light of in the distance. It arrived as if it had "warped" there. I'm not sure how else to put it. I stared at the object for a couple of seconds while it just hoverd off in the distance. Then it started to move up and down, side to side, and all around in the night sky, then it appeared to stop once again. Then the object appeared to get bigger and closer. As the object approched, i stuck my head up against the open window and listened to see if it made any sound at all. There was nothing. Then I looked up, my head still pressed against the open window, as I watched the craft glide over my house. It was then that I relized how big it was. The light I had seen from a distance was only the front part of the craft, shaped like a globe, and it was about the size of a large room. The rest of the ship was completely black and it was about as long and as wide as our house. I had very little depth perception, so it was hard to tell how high the object extened. The big, black "body" of the ship was shaped like a cresent moon, curved and no sharp edges. I then tried to go to sleep but had very little success. This whole thing lasted about 2 minutes.

it could have possibly been an advanced man made aircraft. But it would have to be VERY advanced and with no propulsion system I could hear. I honestly have no idea wat it was.

I'm pretty well read in the subject. Iv read Jim Marr's book "Alien Agenda" and I occasionally watch shows like "UFO Files". But as it was happening I was trying to be as skeptical as possible. I checked over and over in my head wat esle it could be besides a large object in the sky. Im not sure if it was extraterrestrial or what.

I made this picture with simple photocamera more than 2 years ago.I am latvian guy,my name is Aldis.I had differet kind of encounters with UFO's and have much more sightseeings in different pictures.I do believe in UFO's and other dwellers of Universe.Actually the people must be very mind-limited to not understand,when there are other unexplained life forms and technologies.

This particular one I captured in 2004,when I was in Miami,from my hotel's balcony.I didn't seen anything in the sky before the shooting.I realized that later on,when film was developed and I had a real picture in my hands.My opinion is-that's absolutely is UFO,but I am not 100% short,so I sending that to you-if you like to research and make feedback about it.This is the scan from the original picture.At the moment of taking picture-there was no lights in my room,reflections or something like that-what so ever.
