Round orange-yellow, fairly bright lights -- similar to luminosiity of a bright moon for example. There were two or three objects which flew in tandem. They moved up and down somewhat but travelled primarilly in a northerly direction. However they would sometimes stop motionless.

Size of Object(s)

Relative size at arms length -- 10 mm. Actual size unknown -- at least 1 m but could have been much more.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude

Distance 1-2 miles. Height 80 meters.

Because of their erratic movement tthe lights we saw could not have been conventional airplanes. They were not helicopters because they made no sound.

Therefore my two companions and I could only refer to them as unidentified flying objects - UFOs.

However a few days later I learned that an Australian radio announcer, John Laws, had broadcast details of how to construct flying devices to fool people into reporting UFOs a few days before our sightings.

This, I am told, involves supporting a candle on a wire coat hanger frame and covering it with a plastic bag. The heated air lifts the bag, wind currents blow it around, and it eventually decends when the candle is extinguished.

In hindsight I think it is most likely that that is what we saw -- a hoax.

I am a teacher and somtimes consultant. I do not take any illicit drugs and rarely even drink any alcohol. When I was in grade 5 I recall having a teacher, Mrs Brown, who told us that she had to leave her own town and was transferred to our school after reporting a UFO siting -- including physical evidence to her local newspaper. People in her Canadian rural community accused her and her neighbour of being drunkards or unstable.

I occassionaly read popular literature about UFOs. I am certain at least some of them are a real events based upon what I have read but I don't think the public is aware of whatever actually causes the events. I suspect some governments hold more knowledge on the subject than they publically release. My sighting made no difference to my views on the matter

I felt rather foolish saying anything about the sightings after I eventually worked out what they very probalby actually were.

at around 6.30 am i was watching the wildlife in my back garden and saw high in the sky two lights one white and one palish pink flying paralel cruising speed in a nw direction heading over farnborough air space sudenly they seemed to change dirsection towards one another but avoided colision and then retained the original flight path and dissapeared the overal sighting lasted around 10 seconds there was no sound from the lights or and signaling lights

The craft was triangular in shape and had at least three white lights that alternated indiscernibly and perhaps one light in the middle of the craft. I know it was triangular because it would block out the stars that were illuminated behind it. It moved very slowly and made absolutely no sound and seemed to move in any direction in an indectable fashion. It seemed to be 'searching' or 'surveying' the area around our land.

It's relative size was approximately 2 inches across. From my point of view I would estimate it's actual size to be 100+ feet across.

Description of Area / Surroundings

Rural area relatively undeveloped. The closest dwelling to us was 400+ feet away but had no exterior lighting on. Other dwellings were much further away and there were wooded areas and all but three sides of our property. The closest commercial site was at least one mile to the west of us. The property was located approximately 2 miles south of the the Straits of Juan De Fuca and 10-12 miles north of the Olympic Mountain Range near the Deer Park area. The property was 4-5 miles east of the Port Angeles city limits. There are several military sites located further east on the Straits of Juan De Fuca and along the Hood Canal and Puget Sound, including Whidby Island Naval Air Station, Bangor Nuclear Sub Station, Puget Sound Naval Shipyards, and several Coast Guard stations. It is also 'Urban Legend' that Port Angeles hosts several experimental facilities mainly located at the Farchild International Airport which was a base location for P-38 Lightning aircraft during WWII.

My now ex-husband and I were sitting out in our hot tub late one evening. It was very clear. We lived in a rural location just east of Port Angeles, Washington, just off Highway 101 on 3.4 acres of land. The surrounding property was also rural and owned by my husbands family. At that time, there were no commercial properties around our land. The stars were countless and you could even see the Milky Way. The night was very calm with no wind and there was no moon. We had no jets or bubbles going and the only sound was a slight hum from the heater in the hot tub. We had no exterior lights on as we used to enjoy star gazing from our backyard spa. And you could barely hear the light traffic from the highway about 1/4 of a mile away. As we sat gazing up at the stars, we saw what we thought, at first, was an airplane. This was not uncommon as Port Angeles has an international airport on the west side of the city. But soon, we noticed that this airplane was moving very, very slowly and it made no sound. We both commented on this and we waited for it to start making a normal airplane sound. That never happened. As we sat watching this craft, it flew from north to south across the sky. It never made a sound the entire time we witnessed it! This craft took at least twenty minutes to cross the entire sky and then when it got close to the Olympic Mountain Range to our south it shot off at a unusually high rate of speed. As the craft hovered slowly toward us, it had at least three white lights that appeared to be at the corners of it's triangle shape. We could see the outline of it because it blocked out the stars where it's mass was. Its lights seemed to change from one corner to another in a way that I can't explain. Only one light would be on at a time but it seemed that the lights would alternately come on and go off...for lack of a better explaination...without detection. The craft also undiscernibly seemed to move back and forth as it moved forward...again...without detection. Then, as it hovered over the top of us, it seemed that a light in the center of the craft rotated slowly around and then alighted on us. We both just sat there unable or unwilling to move. It was quite eerie! We both felt a strange sensation while the light was on us that we were visible and even 'scanned' or something by the occupant(s) of the craft. It is impossible to describe the feeling we both had. I am much more open-minded and enlightened than my 'ex', but even he felt somehow as if there was something extra-sensory about our experience that night. The light stayed on us for about 10 seconds and then the craft continued on in its slow, methodical survey. Neither of us spoke or moved for quite some time. We just watched this thing hover slowly off to the south and then it shot off over the mountains. We both agreed immediately that this was not any type of aircraft that we had ever seen or even heard about before. We still, to this day, swear that this was a UFO and most likely not of this world. We were not using any mind-altering drugs or drinking alcohol. My ex-husband and I are both respectable members of our community. It was an eerie incident and it changed both of our beliefs about extra-terrestrial life and the knowledge that we are definitely not alone in this huge universe!

ASOLUTELY NOT!!! Once again, I reiterate that if this craft was of this world, our government has some really cool technology and I wish they would let us in on it. If they do possess this technology it most likely came from another world during the mid-twentieth century incidents that are all too well publicized. If we do possess this technology, we have nothing to worry about in regards to national security!

My views before this sighting were not much different than they are now. It just solidified my beliefs. I have always felt that there must be other, perhaps more intelligent life in our vast universe. And quite frankly, I hope there is and I hope that they will be able and willing to help us when we completely muck up our planet!

I believe that we human beings have been directly influenced by beings from another place in our universe in our distant past. Perhaps as far back as 30,000 years ago. Somehow at that time in our evolution our development sped up quite considerably. My one hope is that the beings that affected our evolutionary path have been keeping tabs on us and who know, even have the abilities described in the many different religious beliefs throughout history and will know us and be able to discern who is forthright and deserving of reward, (aka, heaven) and who is not! If you have this hope also, it will be nice to meet you someday.

The craft appeared to be triangle in shape with a blue light at one corner, a red light at another and a white light at another. Other than that it was dark and we couldn't here any sounds that should have been made by a normal flying craft of this world.

rural area approximately 5 miles west of the town of Sequim, Washington. The closest commercial area would be Carlsborg, Washington which has a Costco and two gas stations and various other small businesses.

My boyfriend and I were camping at a friends property in the Dungeness Valley west of Sequim, Washington. It was just dark and we both noticed at the same time a craft of some sort south of us across the highway approximately 1/4 mile away. It was hovering, at times, but also seemed to be unexplainably moving to and fro without us being able to see it actually move. We both sat mesmerized at first, and finally we both asked at the same time "Are you seeing that?" I looked at him and he at me and we both looked back at the craft. It hovered and darted above some rural houses. It had alternating blue, red, and white lights, each seeming to be at each corner of what looked like a triangular shaped outline of the craft. It darted back and forth, although we both agreed later that we couldn't actually see it move decernably. It did this for about fifteen minutes and then it shot off to the south toward the Olympic Mountain Range. The place where is was hovering and darting was a rural area with no commercial dwellings that could have been responsible for an explaination of strange lights being broadcast from the ground or otherwise. The local airport was behind us about two or three miles and this craft was too low and too eratic in behavior to be an airplane or even a helicopter. It made absolutely no noise even though the night was calm and clear and we could see and hear cars and traffic on the highway between us and the craft. We both agreed that it was like nothing we had ever seen before and it couldn't be anything else but a UFO, most likely not of this world. If it is then our government has some really cool technology and we have nothing to worry about when it comes to national security!

This was not my first sighting but my most recent. I have also seen a tirangle like craft before and will write about it in another report form on this web site after finishing this one. I believe that there is life elsewhere in our universe and that this planet has been visited in the recent and ancient past. I'm not worried about invasion. I am worried about what they would think of us as human beings and what we have acheived and also what we have done to desecrate our beautiful home, and also our apathy and feined ignorance when it comes to what we know is wrong with our planet and yet we do nothing to stop and reverse the effects of the damage we have created.

It was a rural area, there was a hill at about 20 miles away that we saw it come over . There is a base about 10 miles from there.

We were visiting a friend north west of Alexander, Louisiana, he had a wood work shop and made wood furniture.

He was closing his shop just as he turned off the lights and we closed the doors, he said look at all the stares out here . No city lights to mar the view.

As we talked and look up at the clear starie night we notice a star we though going in a north heading at a fast speed. Then it turned west without slowing down ....no wide round turn but a fast cut turn .... and it was gone in an flash.

The object was teardrop or tadpole shaped with the color of a watery reflective metallic silver blue. The large end was leading and no frontal resistance or tail was observed as the object descended as if approaching a landing, at an extremely rapid pace. No sound was heard from my vantage point.

Size of Object(s)

The relative size would be about 1 1/2 inches between my fingertips at arms length. I would approximate the actual size to be about 35 feet long and 15 feet tall.

I was standing in front of an elementary school at release in a medium-dense middle class suburb. No noted features of the area stand out.

Standing with my mother outside an elementary school to meet my sister at the end of the day, I glanced up and briefly saw a rapidly moving and descending teardrop shaped liquid silver and blue object dart from right to left through a large visible patch of blue sky I could see through the treetops. The object was descending at a pitch of approximately 125 degrees, appeared to be heading for earth's surface, well within the atmosphere and was very comet-like in motion although no heat activity due to resistance or trail was observed. Upon returning home, a local radio station was reporting the phenomenon as several area residents had seen the object. My mother called in and I was interiewed on air about my experience. I was approximately 11 years old at the time. A newspaper article the next day attributed the object to an unusual daytime meteor sighting.

At the time I subcribed to the meteor explination by the media, though many years later (and after several other sightings) at 27 years old, I don't believe that was the case.

I had only a passing interest in UFO's at the time and did not believe in them. This individual experience didn't change my views then.

Other Comments

7 or 8 years later I observed a large hovering black triangle with lighted corners while riding the chairlift alone, snowboarding at night at the local hill. The distant visibility of the clear nightime sky was vast in all directions and after taking one short run, riding up again, the object was completely vanished from sight whereas any aircraft would still be entirely visible.

A couple years after that, while hanging out with several friends on a rocky hilltop clearing in a nearby suburb we observed a brief phenomenally colored blue white light flash from a rapidly moving metallic teardrop shaped object that darted through the night sky.
