This was seen at around mindnight. Noticed a flat black object in the sky, kind of like a triangle shape. It hoovered queitly in the ssw or carpinteria from my place. It left fairly quickly and once it left another object, like a lit up orb, very bright light appeared and it was spinning like a disco ball. All of the sudden another ball appeared below it, smaller but also bright lit and it was connected to the other vessel with some type of line, like a life line or ambilical cord. It spun for about 5 minutes or so and then lights went and the two objects were gone - never saw it leave, lights just diminished and nothing was there. I tried to video and take pics but it did not come out to clearly.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Not sure, could have been something the military was trying out since we are near Vanderburg Air Force base.

I was working my 3-11pm shift at a TV station. A few minutes past 11pm, I opened the door leading to the back parking lot to go to my car. I saw a row of bright white lights South East of the TV station. "Hmmm. They must have added street lights to Highway 95" I thought. They were awfully bright and were perfectly separated. I pulled out of the parking lot and drove that way to check it out since it was only a few blocks. They were not street lights. The were much higher than I had originally thought. "What are they?" I said to myself out loud. "Is it a crop duster? an airplane?" The military base shares a runway with the airport so I wondered if it was a plane but in all my years of living here, I'd never seen lights that big and bright on an airplane. I drove South on Pacific Ave trying to get a closer look but it appeared they were farther than I had thought. I decided to turn around and go back to work and see if the TV weatherman was still at work. He was a pilot and meteorologist and I was sure he could help me identify what it was. As I drove back North I'd look back over my shoulder to see where they were. I didn't get too far before they were gone. "Where are they?" I was talking to myself out loud "Where'd they go?" Just like that they were gone. I don't know if they faded or if they just dissappeared. I asked people about it the next day to but no one had seen anything. I shrugged it off as being some sort of military operation...even though there was no sound to go along with the lights.

A few YEARS later I was watching a show on UFO's. I sat up immediatley when the Phoenix Lights story came on. THAT WAS WHAT I SAW!! Same formation, same lights, everything! Except the time or the day was different. I knew I saw the lights at 11pm because I was leaving work but the phoenix stories all said it was around 8-10pm. I'm not positive about the day. I THINK I saw mine on a Friday not a Thursday (Calender shows March 13, 1997 was a Thursday). The newsroom was empty except for the weaterman who always worked late. The newscast ended at 10:35p so it's not liekly everyone would be gone by 11p unless it was a Friday.

I just saw the Phoenix lights story again on TLC. I'm writing today because the map on the show did not show any sigtings in Yuma. I want to let someone know that i saw the lights in Yuiam at 11pm.The lights I saw were in the South East sky. They can't be the same lights because it was a different time (and possibly he next day). Also the Phoenix lights story said they might be flairs dropped from a plane but the distance between the lights was exact and the lights appeared to rise not fall.

I've always believed there was a possibility they could exist. We can't be the only ones in this universe. I have thought that people who report seeing them are a bit loony but after seeing what i saw i know that ANYONE can have a "sighting". I am now more interested in UFO shows than before I saw the lights. I'm hoping the light can someday be exlained so I'll stop wondering what they were.

While fishing from my boat, about 2 in the afternoon ,with my brother ,on Indian lake in ohio near Russles Point . I happened to look up to the east at about 80 degree angle. I noticed two very bright white objects. one was stationary while the other one circled the other in a somewhat jerky motion Quite erratic. have never seen anything move like that. I was in the military and have seen aircraft in flight this was no plane. I told my bother to look up before he turned they both shot across the sky and were gone, have never seen anythig move so fast in my life. My brother didn't see them. This sighting has just stuck with me I never forget it.

A circle of colored lights barely visible due to a large bright light in the center. This was at night so the only thing we could see were the lights. It was low and hovered for about 4 hours. It was approximately the size of a small home.

The sighting was at night. About 1:20am I noticed the lights in the sky a short distance from our house and basically, over a field. I immediately woke my husband and we watched this object until approximately 4am when I fell asleep.

The location is northeast of Savannah Missouri, rural area.

There were colored lights in a circular formation around a large bright white light in the center. I cannot seem to give a size approximation because I could not tell exactly how high this thing was. It seemed to be about the size of a smaller home, if I had to give an approximation.

During the summer after this I received an email from a friend who had lived in the area previous and over the weekend traveled through the area (169 highway). This person asked if I had seen anything odd such as a ufo and proceeded to describe a similar event wherein frogs where on the highway and the light became so bright that they and other vehicles were forced to stop driving temporarily.

It lloked like a silver ball/oval to me. About the size of a pea held at arms lenghth. It was very shiny and highly reflective of the sun which was above to our left.

As I said, we were flying northwest at 43,000 feet somewhwere between Abilene, TX and Denver, CO. We had a view of the object for about two minutes. We were traveling at a speed of approx. 430 knots across the ground. The winds at our altitude were from the Southeast at 5 knots. The object came into view above and to the right. I estimated it to be between 45,000 and 50,000 feet. We were approaching it like you would slowly overtake a slower aircraft from behind going the same direction. I asked the controller if he had any traffic above us to our right, and he said "no, we were the only plane around at high altitude. He check to see if any ballons had been launched and said "that they were unaware of any for a large distance today." The other pilot and I thought it was an aircraft originally, but we did not see any wings. It appeared to be more of a silver highly reflective ball to me. We wrote it off as a weather balloon. The weird thing is that the light winds and a temp. of -61 degrees celsius were quite rare at this altitude especially for this time of year. The object as I said stayed with us for several minutes like over taking a slower plane. A weather balloon would not have been able to do this with a ground speed od 430-445 knots. The winds possibly could have been stronger at higher altitude, but it would have been a humongous difference from the winds at our altitude. This can and does happen, but it was smooth and no turbulence that would be usually associated with the wind shearing through the altitudes.

I thought it was a weather balloon until I got on the net and looked at pictures of them. When I Googled "silver weather balloon pics" it came up with the pics of a video over Venice, CA. That was exactly what I saw.

I always thought they were a neat subject and believed that there is something out there, But I never thought I would see something like that. I've watched many shows on the subject,but had not thought about it for months. Especially when I thought I saw a balloon. It was erie when I saw that it probably was not a balloon.

I WAS OUTSIDE OF MY HOME IN MACOMB, MI. LAST NIGHT (8-6-06). IT WAS ABOUT 2:30AM, I WAS HAVING A CIGARETTE ON THE FRONT PORCH, WHEN I NOTICED 3 STAR LIKE LIGHTS IN THE FORMATION OF A TRIANGLE IN THE SKY. I IMMEDIATELY WAS CONCERNED, AS I ALWAYS LOOK AT THE SKY ON A CLEAR NIGHT, AND I AM ALWAYS OUT ABOUT THE SAME TIME EVERY NIGHT. I DID NOT RECOGNIZE THESE STARS IN THAT PART OF THE SKY BEFORE..I CONTINUED TO WATCH FOR A COUPLE MINUTES, AS THE LIGHTS STAYED STATIONARY..THEN THE 3 LIGHTS STARTED MOVING TOGETHER, KEEPING IT'S TRIANGLE FORMATION BUT NOT APPEARING TO BE A SOLID OBJECT, AS I COULD NOT SEE A BOTTOM TO IT. about 1 hr after dark wife and I saw 4 strobe lights flashing in rapird sequence in straight line. distance between individual lights about 3 to 5 arc sec of sky with total darksness in between. lights stayed evenly spaced.no sound heard. Moved from se toward nw. I picked object up 40 deg above se horizon and followed it until it disappeared to the nw. About 40deg above the ne horizon it smoothly and suddenly changed shape from a linear formation to a cresent shape and continued to move that way. Iam a the physician, aviation enthusiast, ameuter astronomer. I have never observed this type of object. I called the local news they denied any similar reports.the space shuttle(movesE to W) was up at the time.

It was definitely New Years Eve, on January 1st, 1971, or 1972, at 12:15 A.M. I was walking home from a New Years Eve party held at some friends house the next street over. There house was on 61st Court. We lived on 62nd Court. So the shortest path back home was to cross the east side of 61st Street and walk through their across-the-street neighbors yard.

Our house was on about one acre with about 3/4 acre woods in back. There was a path through our woods that brought you up to our back yard.

As I was approaching our woods to get home that evening, something told me to turn around. At this moment I was standing on the edge of the woods when I turned around and looked back over across the street to my friends' back yard. Just above one of their Dade County Pine trees was what looked like the full moon - but it couldn't have been. No full moons on this planet rise just after midnight! It was a bright-amber sphere just floating above the tree top.

I then ran back to the house where the party had been to tell them. I knocked on Connie's bedroom window, but I believe I was told she had already gone to bed. This part seems very odd when I look back. So I went back home and telephoned a friend about this. He said to call the television stations about this event. I did. I called WLBW, channel 10 and WTVJ, channel 4. I was told that others had indeed witnessed some strange lights because they were called in. The answer to my question about what it was? Some testing or something at Cape Canaveral, 200 miles north! I never did beleive that assessment.

era como una luz pero a la velocidad que subio al cielo ningun otro objeto que conosco puede ir a esa velocidad sola mente estrellas fugas pero la diferencia es que el objeto estaba parado en las alturas y de repente sube asia el cielo y las estrellas bajan desde el cielo no se detienen en el aire.
