Two Jefferson County air unit police officers — described by their lieutenant as "solid guys" — swear they had a two-minute dogfight with a UFO during a routine helicopter patrol Friday night. Two officers on the ground said they, too, spotted the object. The UFO — a glowing pear-shaped object about the size of a basketball — literally flew circles around the helicopter, even though the fliers say they were moving at speeds approaching 100 mph. "It was only a meter or so in length. It was also shaped like the quintessential image of a UFO, a round flat disc with a small dome on the top. So ludicrously like something you'd see in a looney tune cartoon i felt like an idiot telling my friends what I had seen, and indeed none believed me." View full report

A soundless flying triangle was observed near Hamburg, by the amateur astronomer Gutschke when he looked at the sky to observe the stars. The 70 meters long triangle was surrounded by a luminous dust. In the three corners there were pinkish luminous rings. The altitude was approximately 300 meters. In about 8 seconds the triangle moved from the zenith to the horizon, in the direction of the city of Hamburg, where it vanished in the dust. View full report

In November, 1986, a Japanese crew of a jumbo freighter aircraft witnessed three unidentified objects while flying over Alaska, USA. This sighting gained international attention when the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that it was going to officially investigate this sighting because the Air Route Traffic Control Center in Anchorage, Alaska, had reported that the UFO had been detected on radar. The UFOs in this case were tracked on both ground and airborne radar, witnessed by experienced airline pilots, and confirmed by a FAA Division Chief. View full report

The following is the UFO Report of Alexander G. Globa, a Russian sailor and engineer, who observed a UFO over the Mediterranean Sea at close quarters through binoculars in June 1984. This report was included in a declassified CIA UFO File on Soviet UFO sightings. The UFO reminded him of 'an upside-down frying pan' and had a grayish metallic shine. The lower portion of the craft had a precise round shape, its diameter no more than twenty meters. Many lights illuminated its bottom portion. View full report
Large, low flying , silent and slow inverted trapezoid witnessed by two other people that I know of (who chased it in a car through Stoke village) as well as two other members of my family. [It had] lit up windows on it and it was apparently following a Dash 7 commercial airplane on route to land at Plymouth airport. The local paper the next day reported that a couple of women in a car had also observed this object and attempted to follow it as far as they could in their vehicle. View full report
Several 15-17 year olds were at a discotheque in the town of Messel, when they saw outside a steel blue luminous disk with a dome on top which appeared over the woods about 600 meters from where they where standing. After a few seconds the disc started to move in spiral curves down to the ground; it stopped for a moment before it flew away at a steep upward angle. View full report
