Cylinder-shaped object with dome flying low at night in Texas
"I sprang to my feet out of astonishment in what I was seeing. It was an object, a ship like I had never seen passing throught the night sky almost directly over my adjacent neighors back yard only it was maybe four or six hundred feet high but was of a good size." "This object was... over 100 feet wide. It was a cigar shape... and it had a sphere in the middle of it protruding from the center top."

Navy Veteran Observes Large Cigar-Shaped UFO in Exeter, NH
There was something odd in the sky last week, something that caused a Navy veteran with 10,000 hours of flight experience to have his own close encounter. While preparing to mow his lawn, "David" saw a large cigar-shaped object hovering in the sky. He said it was about the size of two USS Nimitz aircraft carriers.

Large cigar-shaped craft with horizontal line of multiple white lights
"We noticed a very large, brightly lit craft flying low above the tree line. It was flying extremely slow in a straight line from east to west. It continued low above the main street and suddenly stopped. It hovered for perhaps a minute or less, then seemed to change direction and slowly descend, from left to right, in a vertical slant."

A close daytime sighting
The witness was driving toward Whitehorse on the Alaska Highway just north-west of MacRae Subdivision when she spotted an object on Haeckel Hill. The object was cigar-shaped, no wings or markings and looked like the body of an aluminum airplane.

cigar shaped just hovering there - pinpoint lights alongside of it enough to show that it was a cigar shaped.
At the ends of the cigar shaped object there were slightly larger red lights. It never moved, made noise, it just hung in there the whole time I watched it.
Then suddenly it just took off upright toward the sky so fast and but it seemed like it just disappeared as it zoomed off.

Three motorcyclists from Cachi saw 'an enormous cylinder measuring some 100 meters in length, shining like a mirror in the reflected light of the setting sun. It was shaped like a giant cigarette and flew slowly some 200 meters from the ground.

Oscillating, orange cigar-shape object mesmerizes two young brothers
Two brothers age 11 and 13 were sitting in their living room. While watching television, something caught the attention of the younger gentleman's eye. He was shocked to see an orange cigar shape with a yellow centre as depicted by his drawing below. The edges were well defined and there was a soft orange glow emanating around the object.

Twin sisters saw a giant cigar-shaped UFO. It had a row of rectangular windows. Small lights were flying in and out of the large object. The UFO appeared to descent or disappear behind a mountain, or into the ground. Missing time occurred.

America West Airlines Flight 564 UFO Case
A Boeing 757 piloted by Captain Eugene Tollefson and First Officer John J. Waller, was passing near Bovina, Texas. Captain Tollefson left his seat to look [at a line of regularly flashing lights]. As the lightning flashed behind the lights, it silhouetted something that to the observers appeared to be a large, dark, cigar shaped object between 300 and 500 feet in length.

Cigar-shaped object with three lighted windows seen by driver in Sweden
A woman driver who prefers to remain anonymous was driving home to Orsundsbro from Uppsala (Sweden) on route 55. After one mile, she saw two policecars blinking bluish lights, or so she thought. Later she saw the object again. It appeared larger than an ordinary helicopter. It had three lighted windows and a blindingly strong white light. It had been seven to eight minutes since she first saw the object.

Cigar-shaped object with portholes seen by 7 witnesses over Northern Texas
At least seven persons spotted an unidentified flying object over Texomaland last Wednesday morning. Jim Shelton, mechanic at Jim Graham International, described the sighting and drew a sketch. "It was a flying object with lit portholes. Fire was streaming in sparks from the rear, and it had green and yellow pulsating lights," he said. "It was real. I saw it, and if they lock me up, I still saw it. It was long, a cigar-like shape."

Low-flying cigar-shaped object sighted over Los Angeles in 1981
A large, low-flying cigar-shaped object with white lights shining from a row of "windows" and bearing green-blue and white "running lights" was sighted by a West Los Angeles resident on the night of April 19, 1981 at about 11:30 p.m. Taff estimated the object, which made no sound, was about 65 feet in length and about 15 feet high.

"I saw this long cigar shaped object just above the treetops, not more than 150 feet away. Probably even closer than that. It was right beside me flying parallel to me, but slightly faster... It was about 100 feet long, and 15 feet high. It had rounded ends on the front and back. It looked just like a cigar or a hot dog."
