It was a clear, cold early February morning when Amy Wilbur saw a flying orange orb in the sky. "It was a round orange ball in the sky hovering across the road and field to the west in front of our house," she said. "It was bright and light orange, the edges even brighter, a red-orange." Chinese Air Force pilot chases 'mushroom-shaped' UFO

The [Chinese] air force had a prolonged up-close encounter with a UFO last month that one fighter pilot described as "just like ones in foreign movies," a government-controlled newspaper reported Thursday. UFO lands to repair hole in its hull (Transvaal, South Africa)

When a local farmer from Groot Marico in the western Transvaal plains region first observed the saucer-shaped object on Thursday morning, he noticed that it had a distinctly visible hole in its hull. The farmer, Mr. Jan Pienaar (45), is of the opinion that this "vehicle" landed on a remote country road between Coligny and Brakspruit to have its damaged hull repaired. Two Jefferson County air unit police officers — described by their lieutenant as "solid guys" — swear they had a two-minute dogfight with a UFO during a routine helicopter patrol Friday night. Two officers on the ground said they, too, spotted the object. The UFO — a glowing pear-shaped object about the size of a basketball — literally flew circles around the helicopter, even though the fliers say they were moving at speeds approaching 100 mph. A woman driver who prefers to remain anonymous was driving home to Orsundsbro from Uppsala (Sweden) on route 55. After one mile, she saw two policecars blinking bluish lights, or so she thought. Later she saw the object again. It appeared larger than an ordinary helicopter. It had three lighted windows and a blindingly strong white light. They described it as basically oblong in shape, with an extremely bright white light at the front end. There seemed to be a sphere or halo of a grayish-bluish hue around the middle of the object, and lots of tiny flashing lights at the rear. On Oct. 16,1984, a mysterious craft was seen over Keene near Route 12. Keene police Sgt. John C. Zeller got the call and drove out to the highway to see what was going on. "It was a flying object with lit portholes. Fire was streaming in sparks from the rear, and it had green and yellow pulsating lights," he said. "It was real.
