At 16.25 hours on July 11, 1995, a Dash-8 passenger plane from the Wideroe company was on route from Fornebu (Oslo) to Bronnoysund when something very strange happened over Steinkjer about 70 kilmetres north of Trondheim. "They came in quite low and then just stopped and hovered about 200 yards to my left, ovoid in shape (typical saucer shaped) with first red and then green lights travelling horizontally around the middle of the saucer. As many as twenty UFOs were seen and tracked by ground radar and at least six airplanes. Unidentified radar returns were tracked by airports in São Paulo and the Integrated Air Defense & Air Traffic Control Center (CINDACTA) in Brasilia. Two F-5E and three Mirage jet fighters were scrambled from Santa Cruz AFB in Sao Paulo State, and Anápolis AFB in Goias State. View full report

David and Susan McMurray were driving home across Bagshot Heath, Surrey, to Famborough, Hampshire, with their two children when they encountered a "huge saucer-like craft about 50ft. long with brilliant lights coming from portholes around the centre. "I saw this huge object slowly crusing towards us then past us at eye level. It was very close, about 200 meters away... The part that I could see was like the brim of hat with a row of glowing windows on top of it... It cruised past at the equivalent pace of a car going 15 to 20 kph.
