An 18,000-hour pilot and his passenger made a clear daylight sighting of a disc-shaped UFO with a dome on top on the afternoon of May 21, 1966 near Willow Grove, Pa. "When it was within an estimated 40 feet, over the open practice area of the golf course, the UFO stopped (cf. Damon, Texas). It appeared to be at telephone pole height and about 45 feet in diameter, and encircling the rim was a row of red lights like a "rotating neon sign." The white light, much brighter than the red, was seen to be coming from a dome atop the structure." View full report
"On two consecutive nights, April 18/19 and 19/20, there were at least 6 reports. At each end of the UFO was a small red light. A band of yellow light across the length of the object gave the impression of windows." View full report
One of the most dramatic encounters by police officers with an apparently structured, low-level UFO. Officers chased the object for eighty-five miles, as it seemed to play a cat-and-mouse game with them. This case was the basis for the UFO "chase" in the film 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind.' It was a low-flying, silver/grey shining object, either of classical flying saucer shape or close to it, "a cup turned upside down on a saucer". The UFO appears to have left a circle of scorched grass. View full report

"I was standing in the middle of our street and there was a craft on stilts or legs with a ladder down from the center. It had just snowed, and I remember windows on the upper round part... Norman Muscarello, a teenage Navy recruit, was walking down a quiet country highway at night, when suddenly, a huge object loomed above him. Thus began the "Incident at Exeter," a series of sightings officially qualified as "unidentified." It is a perfect and very long dark grey cylinder, and it just keeps coming very slowly and steadily." View full report
