One of the most dramatic encounters by police officers with an apparently structured, low-level UFO. Unidentified landed enormous craft on legs

I was astounded by what I viewed., and here it is. What I saw was an enormous dark structure, almost filled up the whole site that was a few hundred ft wide, to me it looked like the size of a football stadium, it was long, thin, rounded edges, lights placed strategically along the top edge casting shallow light downward. In the late 60's early 70's, my two friends were driving down Haror Dr. It was after 11P, the boys looked to their left (east) to see a flying saucer (metallic appearing craft approx. 30 ft in diameter) hovering over a house. Military sighting of ball of opaque light started out small, grew to 5 times moon size

Our company had fallen out for morning formation. we were waiting for the 1st seargent to join us when someone in our ranks started saying "what is that?" What I saw was an object that first appeared to be a full moon only larger by half than I had ever seen it. Father Gill / Papua New Guinea Sighting
June, 26, 1959 - Papua New Guinea
William B. Gill, an Anglican priest with a mission in Bosinai, Papas New Guinea, observed craft-like UFOs -- one with Humanoid figures on top -- on two consecutive evenings, June 26-27, 1959. About twenty-five natives, including teachers and medical technicians, also observed the phenomena. They "signaled" the humanoids and received an apparent response. This was one of sixty UFO sightings within a few weeks in the New Guinea area. View full report

The 'Sea Fury' Incident

The official navy file on the event remained classified until the Directorate of Naval Intelligence released a copy upon my request in 1982.
