Three Richwood, NJ, witnesses watched a silent, dark, boomerang-shaped UFO moving quickly east northeast after about 8 p.m. From the witness: "The moonlight caught on the shape and revealed it as the sharp-angled boomerang without further detail to the surface... From the witness: "The disk like craft came down directly over the church/rectory and hovered about 20 ft. above it.... It was disk-like with a very wide band of windows around the middle of the thing.... There were people/beings (?) looking down at me.... From the witness' father: 'she then witnessed a triangular shaped craft hovering just above a tree in the front of her house. She said it was "five feet" away but from her description it was more then likely about twenty feet away from her window... it is a standard triangle with little lights making the triangle form on the bottom and one larger light in the center of it." CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite's UFO Encounter in the South Pacific (1950's)

In the 1950s Cronkite was part of a pool of news reporters brought out to a small South Pacific island to watch the test of a new Air Force missile... a large disc-type UFO appeared on the scene. Cronkite guessed that the object was about 50-60 feet in diameter, a dull grey color and had no visible means of propulsion. As Air Force guards ran toward the UFO with their dogs, the disc hovered about 30 feet off of the ground." View full report

When I looked up there was a very large square-possibly triangular, depends if I was seeing it at an angle, machine/craft whatever you want to call it. It seemed to be spinning from right to left and making slow banking maneuvers.... From the witness: "I observed an aircraft, approx. 150-200ft above ground level and approx 300-500ft slant range from my location. It was rolling out of a right bank and the streetlights were illuminating it enough so that I could see a distinct silhouette of the fuselage and the underbelly. my impression was that of a saucer-sort of shape, with porthole-type windows with cross-bars. I could not discern the shape of the whole object, though, as the light from the windows was so blindingly bright. The description of having a saucer-like appearance is strictly an impression from my quick glance. "It's kind of like a Frisbee, two Frisbees on top of another, like an orange in the middle," he said. "And they were turning at an incredible rate. It was just like you could see the windows turning one way and the ship, the bottom part, turning the other way. And whatever way on top it was like glowing. I WITNESSED A Dark Triangle, with 3 soft RED lights at each of its points, which, (for whatever reason) would suddenly pulse brightly. It came up from behind the top of the apartment building across the alley and traveled over the course of the sighting left to right. This TRIANGLE was moving through the sky point up. There was no noise as I watched this Dark Triangle move slowly from the EAST to the WEST. If I had to describe its movements, I would say it was meandered, slowly with no seeming purpose. This case comes from the so-called "Secret KGB Files," which were reportedly smuggled out of the former Soviet Union. Reportedly, $10,000 was paid for the information. And in a clear sky overhead and to the south was a black object in the oval shape of a rugby ball! It was not moving and stayed exactly where it was as we approached. It seemed to be about 2000 feet above the ground near our Central Park and about the size of a 747. Many people pulled off the highway to look at it, including 2 policemen. From the witness: "Off in the distance I spotted what I took to be an airplane flying towards us, off to the left, about 75 or 100 feet above the telephone lines. As it got closer I saw that it wasn't a plane at all, but a disk shaped craft. It was copper in colour and had a ridged section coming down below the main body. Disc-shaped object with dome in Omaha, Nebraska

"Directly over the restaurant's parking lot, at an altitude I estimate at no more than one hundred feet, was a UFO. The object was circular, with a flat bottom and an opaque dome on the top. I estimate the diameter of the object at 35 to 50 feet. It held absolutely still and made absolutely no noise. On top of the dome was a single, steady white light. Around the rim were solid white lights in the shape of rectangles with rounded corners, separated from each other by unlit space.
